Went w/ P1P - now only $599 and includes the camera. But fully enclosed P1S is $699 - just doesn't have the hardened nozzle.

As someone who’s been running a 3D printing business for 4 years, I can briefly share my setups. I started with 6 Ender 3s. It was a headache but all I could afford at the time. Did a ton of upgrades to get somewhat consistent prints. After getting tired of the constant tinkering, i went with the Creality CR6-SE. purchased about 6 of these, 3 had faulty boards. Returned all 6 and fished out money for some used MK3 machines. I had close to 12 of these then as I transitioned into UV Printing, I slowly sold them and purchased about 12 Prusa Minis since they took up less space. Brings me to today. I now only print TPU. I was apart of the Bambu hype and purchased a x1C+AMS at launch. I had a ton of issues with it so I ended up selling it. I now have 6 P1Ps running perfectly with 0 issues. I think I was a little too early on the X1C and experienced issues with print quality and board issues. I now print TPU using a .6 nozzle at ludicrous speed and have a 99% success rate. I think the P1P is the better choice if you don’t need an enclosed printer. However, I’ve printed ASA on my Prusa’s with no enclosure and as long as you have a clean bead and squish the Z offset a little, you’ll be fine. I wish the P1Ps came out back in 2020.
Oh yea. I have 3 Prusa MK3S+ machines and 5 Prusa mini+ for sale. 😊

We have 5) P1Ps and 1) X1-C AMS (door off/top glass top lifted all .06 harden with 2) P1Ps with hard extruder) The X1-C we bought 1st that got us into business do special runs for a product in a special industry not to be named. All printers run at least 7-12 hours a day. We like the P1P better since the AMS is 20% flaky with cardboard reels even with weight and side plates. We print all PLA and glittered PLA that get the fully hardened P1Ps and X1. We use the AMS like you do, as we run 1 color items. I am converting all P1Ps to side mount reels.

Basically unless you're printing ABS, the P1P is the way to go. Espeically with the app updates (for the lack of touchscreen in the P1P) and the fact that you can send prints from your computer to the printer, the touchscreen though nice is not a dealbreaker. AMS works with all BambuLabs models as well.

I am looking for an upgrade from years of tinkering with my ender. The constant maintenance and tune up is actually costing me money. I do not make parts to sell and just as hobbiest. I am still not sure which to get even after your video mainly because money is not an issue but then I think about is it worth it for just hobbies. Great video however.

I have a creality Ender 3 S1 that I could never get the first layer right or would have to start over re-print because of bed levelling issues. The draw to the Bambu for me is not having to spin wheels and run paper under the sensor to bed level. So I see that the X1C has a micro lidar sensor to help with levelling. Isn't this an important feature? I did not catch this being discussed. I notice the P1P does not have it but the x1c does - yet I assume if you prefer the p1p that micro lidar is not that important? Is the lidar extra insurance to getting prints to start without problems?

I think if someone is still "figuring it out" with 3d printing and let's just agree that this is a vast industry where the owner can be on 2000 niches if they prefer a heart attack and liver failure, X1C might be a better one to go for. Imagine you get the P1p, you have fun and you realize you want to print ABS - DISASTER!

What would you say should I buy in germany: P1P -> 799€ and X1C -> 1349€, both without AMS. Its a much more difference than in your country. I want to print PLA and PA12 CF15 so the P1P needed to get a hardend nozzle build and extruder gears for around 40€. So there is about 500€ difference. Whats your opinion?

    Ken, love the review.
You stated that you print TPU on the P1P because of the cooling it has with the open sides.
Will TPU print ok on the X1C or can it be a problem because it’s enclosed?

I have one of each and I do not do any commercial printing. I think it should be mentioned that you can use the AMS also on the P1P which is what I have on my X1C and the P1P. I, like you do not do a lot of multi color prints, but I’d like to have both of my printers loaded with the filament that I might want to use. It also has the ability to dry your filament, which is a plus. I come in from using totally bad slingers like the Prusa, which I have now gotten rid of. This thing is awesome.

As someone who has had enders, prusas, and now bambu printers-- the bambu's are objectively better than all of them. Enders aren't even in the question since they're so cheap, but comparing mk3s+/mk4 to the p1p, the p1p blows them out of the water. It's not even close. Yes, it's true you sacrifice strength for print time, but if you don't need strength then who cares. Besides, you can always reduce print speed if strength matters and you will always get better quality than the prusa machines. My p1p prints 2-3x faster than my mk3s+'s did and with a 0.4mm nozzle compared to the 0.6mm nozzle I had on the mk3s+. It's an objectively better printer. The only way prusa might have a leg up is if their printers require much less maintenance over time.
I have both the X1C and the P1P right now and they are both the most phenomenal printers I've worked with.
