      OK! So when you do need some fly rig type pedals, you know that now you have another option on the menu, the Twiggy...LOL... Hi, this is Richard from Sonicake. Nice to meet you!... Cheers. : )

    I have had one for awhile. Extremely versatile. The reverb can go from the usual spring/plate/room stuff to all out, almost modulation (very shoegaze when turned all the way up). The delay is great for everything from slap back and blues to more psychedelic echo delay you hear on Pink Floyd records. Up until recently, I wasn’t a fan of the “Blues” overdrive. When I was having issues with one of my other overdrive pedals not playing nice with my fuzz pedal, I tried it again, and now love it (didn’t realize how close it is to a B2-2!). The compressor is great and works as a nice boost as well. Overall, all of those effects with a cab sim, it’s probably the best bang for the buck on the market.

      How do you like it then. : ) LOL... Hi, this is Richard from Sonicake. Nice to meet you. And BTW, make sure you check the tone when you turn the comp and overdrive up at the same time. That's the "Dumble" tone that we've been buzzing about... Cheers!

    Can I connect two sonicake pedals at the same time? For example, the "rockstage and the blues pedal"?

    • @petericho71

      Have you tried using an ABY pedal before them and A/B splitter Y cable after to parallel them and blend both tones or run a "wet/dry" rig yet?

  • @swmorgan515
    @swmorgan515 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So this thing has no built-in preamp\amp sim other than the cab sim?

    • @SONICAKE
      @SONICAKE 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The original idea for all our bars is just to put 4 stompboxes into this 1 enclosure, making it easy to carry around and save the real estate on your board. But after we got the prototype of Twiggy's big brother - RockStage, one of our engineers asked can this device be used for direct recording? Then we started experimenting by putting this cab sim toggle on it, which is basically a post EQ thing. And it does sound making the pedal sound better in the direct recording type of situations. And you heard Brett saying that simply switching the cab sim on, the tone does change a bit, and it sound pretty good. I think we need to give the credit to EQ for that.

      @@SONICAKE Ok so that confirms what I suspected, which is that it's basically a set of effects boxes and a distortion / overdrive pedal with a cab sim tacked on the end. No actual guitar preamp like the Tech 21 fly rigs contain.

      @SONICAKE 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    A mate of mine wants to know if this would work well with a bass guitar

    • @BrettKingman
      @BrettKingman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably not. It would need to be voiced a little lower. That's only speculation, though - I haven't tried it with a bass and it's long gone so am unable to.

    Hi Brett, just bought one of these and I am most impressed. Do you know if you can run this together with the rockstage unit, giving the equivalent of 8 pedals!

    • @SONICAKE
      @SONICAKE 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you run the Twiggy in front of RockStage, that is actually a really badass rig. I've tried it once. No joking! Hi, Ken. This is Richard from Sonicake. Nice to meet you. Cheers, man.

    Wow Mr Kingman you did it again ! Great find great video for roughly the price of a Boss pedal you get 4 functions + cab sim!! Talk about bang for your buck! The OD + COMP on together dare I say sounds a bit Dumble for my ears ....anyway bought it , to much value not to have one..
