"A+, you pass!" 😂. Thank you for the grade and the fantastic reaction! It was a huge pleasure to cover this legendary song. Our favourite TTFAF cover is Alejandro Sayago's original recorder version, because of the uncut and funny performance!

When they recreated the friendly duel, right down to taking a sip, I just couldn't stop smiling! They must have been having so much fun! When an entertainer is having fun, it elevates the performance and makes it special.
Yeah, too many musical performers lack that spark that makes music into art. It feels so, generic, like it was made solely for the paycheck and attention instead of for the love of making something to inspire emotions in the audience. The difference is night and day, and you can always tell the difference between what has an artist's soul put into it and what was hastily written in someone's spare time without any real care put into it.

I loved the cover. So much nuance in the playing, plus the part with the roses is amazing. It's no small feat to take a song like Through the Fire and Flames and break into something like that. They are doing accents all over the place and in great spots. You can almost hear words in the playing. That to me is a sign that they are top musicians.
I would love for DragonForce to break into the rose part

Every time I hear Through the Fire and Flames I get flashbacks to the early 2000s - totally magical feeling 😊
I used to "play" accordion back in my childhood, it sounded beautiful to me, but to surrounding people it must have sounded like random noise, playing accordion is not easy, that's at least 3 types of actions you supposed to be aware of, and to land that tempo so well... Mind blowing! Awesome performance!

My theory of why people put so much intensity into covers is they are projecting the feelings that the song gives them when they listen to it. Unfortunately a lot of artists these days don’t really connect with the music they make, they just put it out there for the dollar. It’s the fans who analyze every lyric and how each note is placed and take the song not only to heart but to soul.

These guys really are impressive. I saw their cover of Master of Puppets recently and was blown away. As far as throwing themselves into it, versus not doing so, some people feel compelled to do that as part of their performance, and to be fair, a former bandmate of mine tried to get me to be more energized when playing guitar in small bars, and I get it, I just don't like getting physically active in a small space when I have an instrument on, even more so if I am using one of my heavier and more expensive instruments like my double neck. Now at the time I was doing lead vocals and only lead vocals, I would go full on energy bombastic. That said, their getting into it is just a part of how they do it. They probably have been doing it for so long with other songs that it just came second nature when they learned TTFAF.
On a side note, I tried to get that bar band several years ago to cover TTFAF (We were already doing covers of Iron Mainden, Metallica, and other bands of the genre). I walked into rehearsal and played the opening of TTFAF and declared I wanted us to attempt it. Our drummer looked me right in the eye and said, "Not in this lifetime am I going to be able to play that drum part", so we didn't do it.
