I like some of Jonathan Young's Disney song covers. Namely, "Prince Ali" from Aladdin, and "Be Prepared" from The Lion King. What stands out about him most, is that he's a Baritone singer. Not a tenor like most guys try to be, but often fail at being. He's smart enough to stay within his natural range instead of trying to force himself out of it. He'll change the music arrangement to fit his voice, rather than force his voice to fit the music.

Jonathan Young is one of my top favorite cover artists on TH-cam these days. I wish he'd get more attention from the reaction community because he has some absolutely brutal vocal skills. He's admitted that a lot of his covers have largely been "clickbait", and here recently, he's made a renewed commitment to original music. He's put out an album called Starship Velociraptor, and it's got some good stuff. I've been digging the song Man The Canons lately. I'd be kind of interested to see what you think of one of his older covers of the song Hellfire from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He puts some real power in it.
One way to know if you've done a good cover I think is when the lead artist of the band raises his brows all impressed like, the way to for sure known though without any doubt is when he finds his hands reaching up to do the notes on his own guitar then catches himself and stops XD

All of Herman's reaction vids are like a parent watching their child growing up and becoming
successful!
He'll change the music arrangement to fit his voice, rather than force his voice to fit the music.
i legit squealed (in a very manly way) when i finally saw you reacted to joyo's and richard's version. it's sick seeing some of my favorite musicians getting some recognition!
Black Fire was the song that got me into DragonForce, Disciples of Babylon ended up being my favorite but Through the Fire and Flames was the one that absolutely blew my mind.
Those guys did their homework that was an awesome cover and that guitarist is a beast. Herman don't be doubting yourself you are a sick guitarist too dragonforce rocks. I remember watching the old footage of you guys and I couldn't believe you were playing like that.
I like the fact that you are impressed by someone else's playing. Considering your one of the most interesting to watch guitarists I've ever seen.
So glad this popped up on my feed. Loved the Jonathan Young and RichardEB cover of this and to see it praised is amazing.
Honestly wish more people would cover Symphony of the Night. That's my favorite song DF has done
Someone needs to message Jonathan Young to react to this so that maybe we can get a collab!
LOL I was wondering if you'd see it, Jonathan has such a friggin powerful voice. I'm glad to see you pop up in my feed!
Herman and the various DF lineups have been a staple in my life since 2006 and seeing this super positive reaction to other artists I adore makes my heart swell.
Herman Li reaction to Richaad and Jonathan, damn! Finally they get some love for their awesome cover
Another really cool one from RichaadEB is his cover of Moonlight Sonata (3rd movement), way harder than it has any right to be
Jonathan Young and RichaadEB is like a Dragon Ball fusion, they can defeat anyone and make even Herman Li not bored by a TTFAF cover.
The more awesome guitarists I see, the more I believe my choice to play the recorder was the correct one.
One way to know if you've done a good cover I think is when the lead artist of the band raises his brows all impressed like, the way to for sure known though without any doubt is when he finds his hands reaching up to do the notes on his own guitar then catches himself and stops XD
Never thought I would see Jonathan here but I'm glad I did. He just released a new cover today that I NEVER saw coming
No need to feel bad, Mr. Li. You have inspired a whole generation of musicians and music, and will continue to forever. Thank you for the gift of your creations and performances.
I got Introduced to Dragenforce first when I listened the cover of Jonathan young and RichaadEB.
I was Desperately waiting for Herman to react on this cover.
I love the way you break down your thoughts on covers. Can't wait to go to another DragonForce gig! ❤️
I can't help but start singing when it gets to the chorus lol. Also, watching Richaad play really makes me wanna start playing again lmao.
Some high praise for the lads here! Both so, so brilliant. Can see Richaad's seen it, hope Jonathan sees it too!
I've been hoping you'd react to this cover - Jonathon has a ton of talent and Richaad with guitars is just insane.
Jonathan Young sounds like the singer of Falconer!
Jonathan's dancing during the solo
I love how delightfully understated the commentary is lol
Herman is a saint. He brought us the gift of rock. May we dull pics in his glory!
I am so glad you found out about Jonathan Young! He’s an amazingly talented dude. Let’s hope for a collab DragonForceXJonathan Young
My daughter and I belt this song out when we go for long drives in my UTE. It is one of the greats.
This is amazing. Glad you looked up Jonathan, he is a fantastic artist just like you guys!
After hearing this version, I am ready to go into battle!
what herman does is so good for the community of the modern online musicians. those ppl that cover his song are often extremely talent and have put crazy hours into their craft and sitting down and listening to a song he really seems tired of(i can't blame him, it makes sense and anyone who plays any music gets it) makes this even cooler. i really enjoy ppl be amazed at how good others ppl interpretation of their work is
So glad he reacted to this Jonathan Young is really good
I remember watching you play that solo while doing a backflip off a monitor stack like 12 years ago lmao. Or at least, it was some kinda solo. I just remember you guys doing all kinds of crazy stunts while playing guitar. Truly amazed me lol.
Pretty sure it was in Baltimore, Ram's Head Live.
man this was such a awesome cover might have to listen more to this guy
I’d love to hear a “My Spirit Will Go On” cover. That song is my jam. That dude’s voice is sick too.
0:14 Oh yes; heard this one recently. RichaadEB does amazing covers of various videogame music.
Should see FamilyJules7X cover of TTFAF, when you recover from this foray.
Honestly, though, I think other DragonForce songs deserve the same love; Valley of the Damned, Heart of a Dragon, Soldiers of the Wasteland, to name a few, deserve covers too. Hah, right; popularity and all that. 🤣
Heroes Of Our Time as well.
Amazing! Through the fire and flames is too epic and thank you for creating it for all to enjoy
Johnathan Young is very talented across multiple instruments. I know he can play the guitar and piano. I'm sure there are more as well.
