2 things - 1, every 10th floor has no enemy, so the actual number of potential pits ignoring movers would be 8.7279636e+42 (3^90, as 9/10 of the floors can have "random" enemies); and 2, how do you know only 25 people have done this? I'm sure it's more - I completed it when I saw a different youtuber post his attempt, as I'm sure many other have.

The dragons’ bites are unguardable (and unsuperguardable too for that matter); just like Vivian and Marylin’s magic attacks. Uniquely though, the Shadow Queen’s Shade Hands can be guarded, but not superguarded. And aside from items enemies may randomly carry from time to time, Bulky Bob-omb & Bob-ulk explosions (in terms of non-boss enemies) can’t be countered or softened either…

Good vid; liked the tutorial angle :) I know you had to put it in the title for YT, but for a full disclaimer to anyone curious, vanilla Prologue Pit is not the "hardest" early Pit challenge. That goes to Level 1 Prologue Pit, which only has 2 recorded completions in over 5 years of it being created LOL
Sadly, there is wallpaper blocking the entrance to the two rooms with the fast travel pipes (or something else I presume). Unless a clipping trick or a game event flag trick is discovered, there is not way to even enter the area now.
I now realize thinking about it more that I just never considered the fact that you can just take them out one by one and they will drop the coin for the next fight haha

Just curious, does jump storage have anything to do with the game thinking you're on the moon? I heard there's some bugs in the game might be a result of this (Chuggaaconroy's old TTYD lets play includes footage of koops randomly moon jumping during chapter 3, for example) great vid btw, subbed and looking forward to more content
I don't believe so. The explanation is my understanding of how it works. My actual more detailed guess is that the game is multiplying the 2 jumps together and it's causing some sort of overflow or something that causes the light when you give it some vertical momentum(such as walking up a step)
The hope is that we find some new glitches, but now that the blue pipe rooms are blocked by a flurries wall, we would need like 3 different glitches to do everything in this video

Yeah haha. I got a new hard drive a few days ago like halfway through editing and me moving stuff caused a lot of issues. Won't have problems like that next time, but it was getting annoying lol.
We have not found a way to get there in the prologue yet sadly. Maybe someday, but the closest thing to this RN is the prehooktail pit, where you basically go do the pit as soon as you get the paper ability
Hm.... something doesn't seem quite right about the video. Why did Mario's health stay at 60, even when he took hits? How did he get to move twice in a single turn, with a Goombella that hadn't unlocked Rally Wink, AND was unconscious? Did you use some cheats for the sake of getting footage of the enemies' movesets? Also, (though this might just be a change made in the Switch Remake) my experience with flower fuzzies would say that they ONLY target Mario. Don't ask me why, but I've never seen them attack my partner.
Yeah it was footage stuff. Did this run 3 times either because footage was bad or I just accidentally deleted it. Got tired of getting footage the real way when I didn't get everything I needed after my third successful run, so I went back and got some extra stuff. I have a full run in the description, the footage just looks awful cuz it was recording at 30fps Also yeah I generally see them hit Mario, but every now and then they just hate goombella a lot

It IS possible to enter the pit of 100 trials DURING the prologue, but ONLY if you’re playing the original TTYD. Here what you do: have at least 1 empty file on the load screen. On one file, play until you beat the game. Then start a new game immediately after. You’ll get to start with all 4 curse abilities. This means, you can enter the pit of 100 trials before you’re supposed to get the first 2 curse abilities first. Just remember that if you save and return to the title screen anytime after starting a new game after beating the game on a different save file, you’ll lose the abilities unless you “officially” got them.
First, I already explain how to get in the pit. Second, I asked around the challenge running discord and no one said that this is actually a way to get into the pit. There is a way to do it by holding down R in the shadow queen boss battle to get into paper mode, but nothing about keeping every curse.
