I didn't know about this. At least it wasn't _TOO_ important. I did miss out on a Shooting Star, but I didn't miss out on much else.

As much as i really like Ms mowz but oh my lord i actually nearly never used her once until I remembered I never brought her out in combat. The only thing she’s really did for me was getting the last hit on the smorg boss when it was already in kill range

Honestly, that confusion ability is what helped out quite a bit in the trials. I can agree that she's less versatile than most other members (especially in thousand year door), but she's definitely fun and useful.

She isn't that bad she may be weaker than the rest, but she still gets the job done for me at least

Is this in the remake?

I do not really care tbh. The game is easy enough that even the "bad" partner is still 100% usable. Smooch? Don't use it, of course. But besides that? Meh, use her if you wanna.

They should buff her up in the next Paper Mario

Managed to got the Og version of the game and yeah, that badge never left the equiped slot, but it have such High BP cost that it indirectly ask you to use low cost badges at the beginning

You put watt in B tier and his only two uses are light and piercing damage, and yet you STILL DEGRADE MOWZ

I'm gbh here, when I found this out, I legit was considering on replaying the game again juat to get the green one, but I didn't and just kept the orange one I got. And I'm glad I did, cause its kinda funny that I named him Gonz Jr(I couldn't put the whole thing, it wouldn't let me, so I went with this instead), and after the game he calls himself The Great Gonzalse Junior. Sorry for the spoiler if some people haven't played the remake or the original. Deeply sorry, I didn't mean to. I hope u have a nice day tho, sorry again.

She has niche uses in challenge runs in the pit where you can't heal, where she can act as a shield vs chain chomps by putting her in the front, but besides that... yeah... you're better off using someone else most of the time...

Love slap is useful if you want to preserve FP. Honestly on my runs, mario does like 90% of the DPS and partners are just there sitting pretty. If you are in a badge only run, ms mowz has saved me a lot of items and sweet treats on my pit of 100 trials. It is not the character, it is how you use it

I compare characters by their best moves. Not by the average between all their moves.

i mean, for as long as i've watched ttyd content (way before the remake) mr mowz has always been considered bad. it's not a new POV. although, i do appreciate having a meatshield.

It's extremely painful that one of the best partners in terms of personality is also the the worst in terms of battle

To counter this. You all those badge enemies? Well… she can snag those from the enemies. Making her quite special. Not only that. She use a healing move that can heal Mario. Can confuse or just slap the enemy.

This is likely why the character was made as an optional partner. Additionally, the developers may have only made such a decision for the character to be optional, if they weren't entirely satisfied with the development end-product of the character. Another possibility, they may have purposely made Ms. Mowz that way, compared to the other partners, to balance it out, and to make it not the end of the world, if you didn't add her to your party. Alternatively, she may have been designed as an npc, perhaps recurring throughout the story, like many characters in the first PM, the developers then decided to change the character to a partner, and did a rush-job to do so.

I beat PM64 very recently after dropping it over a decade ago. When I got Watt as a partner, I noticed her normal attack also pierces, just like Ms. Mowz. Simply being able to fly and target any enemy makes her INSTANTLY better than Ms. Mowz, instead of Only being able to slap the first target. Watt's electric dash was also the Only way to do piercing damage from a partner, making swapping to her insanely invaluable against enemies with higher defense. (Huge help against Kent C. Koopa) Ms. Mowz being grounded and outclassed by other partners' piercing abilites is what kills her value, it's her abilities that are the icing on the cake. Least I can steal a badge after killing 3 guys in front of the the badged baddie...

I wish she had an attack stat that was just like 1-2 higher then she'd be S tier, defense piercing is nice but yea doesn't carry her

She's good for 100%ing the game and as a last resort combat partner if you're in a bad spot 😅
