thing that no one can beat ddpai is that ability to continuous recording and how easy it was to navigate to timestamp using timeline navigation.. Ive been using 70mai, iRoad, blackvue.. you name it... Ddpai just fast when you are in need

I've tried a lot of dashcams over the past few months. I had the z40 but it was having issues recording constantly. So i returned and DDPAI offered me a discount which i used for the Z50. From my testing, I have found the license plate clarity has been one of the best ones of the cams I have tried (Blueskysea 4k, A129 dual, and Z40). I absolutely did not like the permanent mounting option, so I bought the Wixgear flat magnet and used it to mount the Z50 so I can now remove it easily. It has never fallen off the magnet after a couple months of use. I also found removing the SD card to be very difficult. Otherwise I'm happy with it.
How u put the wix gear at the windows shield?
Thanks for the review! (I saw my comment in your video) haha i bought it a month ago anyway and i found it a bit more challenging to use compared to my 70mai A800..installation was similarly easy and I prefer the hardwire kit to 70mai's with diff selections of fuse sizes
Since it is my first ddpai i found the app new and really overwhelming compared to 70mai as different settings are found on different buttons, and I did not know how to download with sense reality until I asked another reviewer
The sound recording i think has improved after their latest update which I did few days ago..(I made a video kinda comparing the sound system)..also for the ADAS system I only have the front vehicle motion detection, maybe I need to explore it further to find the rest

Totally agree with you about the app - it is one of my favorite dash camera apps.
one thing I notice lately is that 70Mai seem to use a lot of DDPAI ideas and I have the feeling they even collaborate on some projects. Not sure if this means they will eventually merge...
@@TechMishka ah ic thanks for the info..yeah i did notice the similarities in the app settings for both after being given a 70mai Omni to test as an ambassador 😄
Hopefully if they do collaborate it would merge the best of both sides and create an awesome product 🙂

It is very difficult to give a good answer here. I like both models, so ... maybe you can think about which one you like better and get it.

If you record in 4k - it is around 200MB if I remember correctly.

Do you recommend this over X5 pro ? Both of them shoot 4K which is confusing
Both are excellent dashcams. I like the X5 pro better.

Tough call. I tend to lean towards the A800s

haha, yeah, a bad choice for adhesive tape.
No wifi 5 support. That is why I decided to go with ddpai mini 5 instead. Use it for front and back camera. Love mini 5 performance.

Nope
25FPS is a really bad downside tho. What was the problem to give at least 60fps for 2K resolution
60fps is good for daytime but will impact image quality at night, this is why most brands stay away from it.
I just bought it.i think there no parking mode. it doesn’t work. It will shut down if the engine is off
Did you buy a hardwire kit too?
“ddpai recording” it’s annoying Can u muted or turn off the ladie voice ?
You can disable the voice announcements from the smartphone app.

Do not buy this. Not a good one. Goodluck at night! U can use it in the morning but not at night. The camera quality is as if we're back in 2010. You can barely see especially the rear camera
