I don't understand. You say super capacitors are built better for hot climates, but this camera that has super capacitors cannot withstand the hot climates of Malaysia?
My biggest problem with this camera and DDPAI in general is the lack of an emergency button. HUGE oversight on their part. I bought an X5 Pro a year ago thinking it had an emergency button. It was the only button on the camera and I thought for sure it was an emergency button… but no, it was an audio on/off button! Seriously DDPAI?? The only button on the camera is something I can do in the app? It’s astounding to me how many dash cams don’t come with emergency buttons, and in the case of DDPAI, it’s an absolute deal-breaker. Otherwise, they make excellent cameras. It’s unfortunate :/
I wish to buy this Z50. But I heard that the camera does not capture the visuals few seconds before an incident in parking mode. Is the feature missing for all ddpai models? Please advice me.

I'd say the Z50 has better low light recording thanks to nightvis tech but they're pretty much neck and neck. Mini 5 wins in terms of fps (30vs25) & 5ghz wifi
Was thinking about buying the z40 and then stumbled on this one. How do I go about getting sentry mode working on this? Do I have to buy an additional hardwiring kit from ddpai?
@@m3ecmillennium I have a yi smart dashcam and it just dies today after trying to reformat the SD card. And the Z40 currently has a Shopee sale but the Z50 is also tempting.
Mini 5 is a single channel dash cam (meaning front only). It's really good since it uses the same Sony IMX415 sensor and it has 5GHz wifi (faster downloading of clips compared to Z50's 2.4GHz). It also has 64gb built in eMMC memory so you don't need to worry about SD card incompatibility. However, Z50 comes with a rear cam so if you're looking for something with front & rear capabilities, Z50 is the way to go. If you're looking for a front cam only, then pick the Mini 5.
Not saying Z50 doesn't have any advantages in terms of front cam, I actually prefer Z50's built quality over Mini 5's since it comes with a screen which is quite useful. (interface is also pretty sick)
Hi im a new ddpai user...does sense reality get activated automatically? I have the dual gps version, but it doesn't seem to allow me to download videos with sense reality... Is it an app problem or firmware or apple/android issue? I can't seem to find answers after googling..thanks lol
Yo! Nope it doesn't get activated automatically, you have to go to the app's local album to export it in SR mode. So firstly, you'll have to download the clip you want from the timeline first. After that, head over to your app's local album, select the clip, turn on the SR button, and click share. The reason for this is the app can only generate the SR clip by calibrating the existing in-device GPS data with the clip itself before export.
@@m3ecmillennium thanks a lot it works! wasn't aware of the whole app function and my googling skills suck..anw it seems that if i turn the SR off before recording I can't download it after that if I want to so I'll just keep it on.. Also i had problems with the clock too which was always 1hour behind yet I couldn't find a button to correct it..but somehow it fixed itself..70mai is easier to use 😂 P/S: the voice recording is really bad sigh

Yes, for 24H parking monitoring you'll have to purchase an additional Type-C hardwiring kit from DDPAI.

Hard to say, this entirely depends on the specs of your current yi dashcam & if you are currently satisfied with the features that it provides

the app is broken on ios1 16, video playback is broken. wish i bought something else instead. 😕
