I just bought E20 and I love the video quality and ease of use. It's so intuitive. Two problems I have run into: 1. The camera battery is 5000 mAH and after I have it fully charged, it only lasts for 8-10 minutes. 2. The ANR doesn't seem to work on mine. Not sure what the problem is. I am going to connect with Eufy on these two issues.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work with HomeKit or other smart home services yet but I’ve give this feedback to Eufy and they have added it to their product backlog for consideration!
Great review, new dad here and im looking to purchase this over the owlet due to the you can pan the camera up and down or left and right. Im wondering if the Eufy sock is worth buying? and if it pairs to this new camera? Thanks and keep up the great work.

The Eufy smart sock can be added to the app along with this baby camera so it should work together. This seems like a great case to try it out and return it if it doesn’t work out!
@@harshphuloria Grest question! This baby cam works on a 2.4GHz network (as of now) and I think it’s a good choice given that it’s a baby cam. It’a pretty common for smart home devices because 2.4GHz offers better range, reliability, and is ideal for low-bandwidth traffic. It also avoids competing with high-bandwidth devices like TVs, laptops, and phones that are streaming high-definition content on 5GHz networks. Let me know if you have any other questions!
I see your note about the second camera being available soon. Do you know if it can connect to older models such as the E110? I ask because I have the E110 but the monitor is old and done for, but the camera still works fine. Hoping once my E20 arrives that I can connect my 110 for my second kid room and be able to view both

I ask this because I don’t see an E21 or even E20 camera for sale. Any ideas as to how we can take advantage of the split-screen feature advertised with this product?

We will be having twins and I am currently looking into baby monitors, babies will be sleeping in the same room as us and I am leaning towards owlet dream socks, since it measures heart rate and blood oxygen and has built in alert system if something is not right, did you or any other dads you know had an experience with such a device? At first glance this monitor is not suitable for us as I said we will be sleeping in the same room.
@@StasKulchitskiy First off, congratulations on having twins soon! That is certainly going to be a great adventure for you all. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Owlet sock in terms of it’s value but given that you have two to care for, it may be a good thing to try out and see if it works for you! As for the baby cam, my thought is that although you may be sleeping with the children in the same room at night time, they will be sleeping/napping for most of the day for weeks/months and you’ll have to decide if one of the parents will *always* be in the room watching them as they nap. More than likely, a baby cam will be helpful to have setup while the babies are napping during the day so that you can be free to move around and if you get an alert from the Owlet, then you can quickly glance at the cam to see what’s going on. A nice feature with this cam is that it can work on-battery power if it’s not plugged in so if the babies are napping in another room temporarily, you can move the cam into that room so you can keep an eye on them as well. Then, if you decide to transition them to a separate room in the future, you can move the cam into that room. Hope this helps!
@@backh00d it currently doesn’t have motion detection but it does record crying events which we use primarily. We haven’t had any issues with playback features yet!

@@anettdolog9060 hi, great question! The camera has modes for the LED on the front that you can set to turn off completely automatically at night or just off all the time so it won’t bother the baby! We turn the LED off all the time if that helps! The baby won’t see any light from the camera, rest assured.
For the additional cameras that you can add, do they also have the capability to toggle wifi on/off? I am not seeing anything on the website about adding an additional camera. Thanks for the great review.

I am just curious to know why you've stated multiple times that it's the first camera you know that supports wi-fi and offline connection at the same time, while there had been devices like this for a while (like Philips Avent SCD923/26). It's a bit misleading or your research wasn't quite complete at the time of the video release.

Does the standalone monitor connect to wifi as well, or is it only direct connection to the camera? Having the monitor connect over wifi would be a huge plus.
I believe in order to maintain a true "offline" option, the extra monitor doesn't connect to wifi, which makes sense... I've been able to get very good range with the extra monitor, being 2 floors away from the camera and still getting good signal if that helps!
Can the camera be charged by USB instead of wall outlet? What is the range? I need a cam at night inside a vehicle because of break ins. 5 hours or so per days I can put a small solar battery w 110 in vehicle to run it or charge it but would rather use the USB instead the truck if the camera has a port?
@@LKN4WAR that’s an interesting use case! I’m thinking that it should work. The there is a USB-C connection for power on the camera so as long as your solar battery is strong enough to charge the camera and it has a USB-C cable, it’s worth a shot. That being said, have you also considered a 2-way facing dash cam that you can also power via USB? This would allow you to get 2 camera angles and there is a dedicated parking mode feature specifically designed for your use case. Thoughts? amzn.to/40YzPjh
I really enjoyed your review however when I contacted the company they do not supply sales for a second monitor to add to the Eufy 21 system, they said possibly in the future, I'm not willing to take that chance they do not offer another monitor in the future. Is there another product you would recommend that has the ability to add dual camera functionality and that has the Eufy 21 specifications, thanks in advance.
Hi, you're correct - the add-on cameras for the Eufy E21 are currently not available. I just spoke with the company and they confirmed again that these will be available soon! I'm not sure who you spoke with but I received word from the product team so I'm fairly certain this can be trusted. Unfortunately, this is the only baby cam I know of with 4K resolution and hybrid connection modes which are the 2 main features that set this camera system apart from the rest. Hopefully you're able to find a system that works for you!
Great review. This is exactly what I am looking for. But, this appears to have digital zoom, not optical zoom. Optical zoom takes a moment to move the lenses, this was instant which means it is digital. Also, the product doesn't say optical zoom so it probably isn't.
@@JPL_EE thank you! 🙏🏻 This may have been a function of the editing process. There was about a 1 second delay between the time I pressed the button and the camera moved. But this could also be attributed to the signal taking time to travel over WiFi to the camera to trigger the movement. Either way, the picture quality is really good at 4K resolution either it is digital or optical zoom IMHO. Best way to know is to check it out! Hope it works for you!

I’ve noticed that it can take a bit longer to establish a secure connection but it does connect and then I can scroll back and replay the saved recordings.
I have the Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO Video Baby Monitor, 720P HD. I wanted a baby monitor that I can view both on my phone and have a physical baby monitor so I bought this one! I really like the monitor however I am so upset because when viewing my baby sleeping I cannot see him breathing clearly, the actual chest rise and fall motion- I was almost panicked and wanted to go in and physically check on him because of this, where on the infant optics camera I can clearly see his chest rise and fall. I am so confused because the eufy e21 has such a clear camera, how come I cannot see the breathing up and down motion clearly? Has anyone else ran into this issue?? I have video comparisons to show the difference that I will be sending over to the eufy support team. I was so excited about this camera and really want to keep it but I feel like I have to switch back to infant optics for peace of mind being able to see the actual chest rise and fall :(

@ great question! We used motion detection early on with our first kid but we ended up turning off the alerts because it wasn’t necessary (for us). The crying/sound detection is the most useful alert that we use on a regular basis. I’m terms of range, I’ve also seen some reviews about this and I haven’t had an issue yet unless we go super far away from the camera (i.e 2 floors away). I accept the fact that this is pushing the limits of the non-WiFi tech so we use the WiFi mode in our situation. Hopefully this helps!
@@redmanstiller I haven’t done extensive testing around this but I have taken the baby monitor 2 floors away and it’s worked! The camera was on the 2nd floor and I was in the basement with the monitor and I was still able to get a clear feed, so that was pretty good!

Can you use the camera while it's plugged in? Not the viewing device, the actual camera

@ great question! We used motion detection early on with our first kid but we ended up turning off the alerts because it wasn’t necessary (for us). The crying/sound detection is the most useful alert that we use on a regular basis.
I’m terms of range, I’ve also seen some reviews about this and I haven’t had an issue yet unless we go super far away from the camera (i.e 2 floors away). I accept the fact that this is pushing the limits of the non-WiFi tech so we use the WiFi mode in our situation. Hopefully this helps!

@@redmanstiller I haven’t done extensive testing around this but I have taken the baby monitor 2 floors away and it’s worked! The camera was on the 2nd floor and I was in the basement with the monitor and I was still able to get a clear feed, so that was pretty good!

It has a HORRIBLE range on the parent unit! I couldn’t even go 25 feet with it.
@@oliviarowan that’s interesting! I was able to at least 100 ft separated by 2 floors and we still had a good connection. Sorry to hear your experience, perhaps contacting their customer service for some troubleshooting tips may help?
