    This is a hard review to take at face value as you’re sponsored by momcozy. The reason I purchased the Ceres Chill chiller was because I read numerous reviews of moms using the chiller during hot days and their milk staying completely safe! I can attest to that now too, I’ve used it on multiple occasions, like the beach and theme parks, and my milk has been completely safe temperature the whole time! This tells me that your test is inaccurate. I’d like to see you test the momcozy cooler for lead or other harmful chemicals. Although the bottles are BPA free, we know that companies often replace BPA with something just as harmful which can still leach into the breastmilk. So, no thanks! I know that I don’t need to worry about unsafe chemicals leaching into my milk while using the Ceres Chill because it is stainless steal and made with the highest quality materials. The Ceres Chill is made with my child’s safety in mind, and that is the most important thing!

    • @DadLifePGH
      @DadLifePGH 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@yadirazambrano4488 You are certainly welcome to your opinion and thanks for taking a moment to leave your thoughts! From a sponsorship perspective, I think it’ll be helpful to clarify that they just sent me a product to review and according to TH-cam, I have to disclose that. So, the insinuation you’re making that I am biased towards it because of a monetary reason is false. It’s not worth my integrity. By the way, if you take a look at the “non-5 star” reviews, you’ll see that my experience isn’t unique to me. I just published my results because I think it’s important for people to recognize what they might be getting. I stand by these results. Out of genuine curiosity, when you use the product, did you replenish the ice in the cooler more than once or did you just fill it up with ice at the beginning of the day? Also, did you freeze the innertube with water to maximize the cooling effect like I’ve seen other people do with the Ceres product? Thanks for stopping by!

  • @JillianWhitlow

    Just have to hop in here and say that I’ve been pregnant and/or nursing for over 3 years now and would say I’m comfortably “in it.” I want the absolute best for my babes and did my research before getting the Ceres Chill. I have to question the validity of your testing here. I’m located in central Texas, where we have consistent triple digit temps in the summer. I’m on the go a lot, as I live in a small town and travel over an hour for appointments. I left my chiller with expressed milk in my vehicle on and off for 12 hours on multiple occasions this past summer, and being the diligent mom that I am, always tested the temp of the milk when I returned home. Not once did my milk exceed 46 degrees F, my girly is happy and healthy consuming the milk, and I’m an approved donor at a HMBANA milk bank in Austin, where my milk is given to the most fragile lives to help them thrive. The results you cite here are dubious at best under these conditions. Also of note, Ceres Chill uses bismuth, rather than lead in their products. I don’t know about you, but that’s pretty important to me and my babies!

    • @DadLifePGH
      @DadLifePGH 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@JillianWhitlow Thanks for your comments and sharing your experience! As I mentioned, my experiment was conducted using the exact instructions from Ceres’ manual. Out of curiosity, did you ever have to refill the bottle with ice while you were out for 12 hours or did you happen to freeze the inner tube with water before heading out to maximize the ice? I’ve seen many people use this method to extend/maximize the cooling effect on the Ceres chiller. Given my experience with the Ceres chiller and its performance in room temperature environment, I, personally, would have very low confidence that it would stay below 50F in triple digit temps for an extended period of time. To be fair, I don’t know is the Momcozy would also be able to handle triple digit temps either! Texas gets hot 🥵 I am not questioning your experience or the validity of your statements - I am respectfully saying that based on my experience, I would feel safe using the Ceres chill in those conditions only if I was able to refill it with ice periodically. Also, if you’re interested, feel free to take a look at some of the non-5 star ratings of the Ceres chiller product on Amazon and see what other people have said. My experience is not unique unfortunately. You are obviously welcome to question the experiment I conducted. I can only say that I showed the exact setup and process and I can also provide you with the raw data if you’d like to look at it! Have a great rest of your day!

    We always appreciate honest feedback and we *love* to hear from the moms and parents who have used our products. Our priority is always continuing to improve and give our customers the best possible products, because that’s what they deserve. Unfortunately though, since this video is sponsored by Momcozy and you’re showing a product of theirs that is trying to compete with our Chiller, it’s hard to believe that this is unbiased. You have several other videos that compare brands to momcozy with momcozy always coming out “on top”, but they’re all sponsored by momcozy. The reality is, when you’re being paid by the brand and they’ve “won” in every single comparison video, it’s hard to believe in the validity of these claims. On our end, we know that they’re not true. This testing is far different than the tests that have been done in accredited labs with real testing equipment. It’s also different than what we’ve heard from our own customers. Again, if you are truly trying to help parents make an educated decision on a product, that is so great. But it doesn’t appear that that’s the case here. I would encourage all moms to do independent research on the products they’re planning on purchasing for them and their baby. You can also refer to our science page with testing below. I’m the mom who created this product for other moms. I know how important a reliable and trustworthy product is, which is why I have been transparent with my testing from day 1. Please always feel free to reach out to us at info@cereschill.com with any questions! www.cereschill.com/pages/science I also wanted to link our source for the 59* F claim, which is the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine - the gold standard in breastmilk research: abm.memberclicks.net/assets/DOCUMENTS/PROTOCOLS/8-human-milk-storage-protocol-english.pdf

My coworker said it was one of the most useful items she was gifted when she had her 1st child, so she happily bought me that one right away when she saw it on my baby registry list.

    I have the Breza and I'm going to try the mom cozy. I agree with the assessment about the Brezza unit (and other brezza products for that matter). It seems like they spend more time engineering the unit to be unrepairable, instead making a solid product. I have a love hate with my brezza formula maker. It's so convenient, until the thermal fuse blows (3-12 months of usage). Taking it apart to repair is a nightmare. For what it's worth, after several children and several formula pros. I think some of your critiques on the Brezza are a bit exaggerated, and it seems biased to have a counter for “weird” issues for the Brezza and “Smart” for Momcozy. I actually like the countdown to turning it on as a safety feature for children or just accidental button presses in general. And the symbols are easy to understand after just 1 quick glance at the manual. Not sure when it became taboo to force a customer to read the instruction manual to fully understand their purchase. Having said that, I have been using the Brezza for a couple of weeks now and decided to buy the Momcozy a try based on your video since you do make some good points. I don’t have any real issues with the Brezza except that it’s a little difficult to stack my items. It feels like I’m playing jenga. Hoping the Momcozy is a bit easier in that regard. Also I’m not sure you HAVE to use the short and long tube for the Brezza? I washed my 8oz Avent with the short tube fine and I assume I could wash my smaller 4oz with the longer tubes also. Looking forward to giving the Momcozy a try though. The separate waste container is a very big con but maybe I can make it work

Re: short and long tubes - I was following the recommendations from Baby Brezza in terms of what they claim gives the best results andI agree with you that you *could* probably get away with just using the long stem for everything - but then it begs the question why Baby Brezza included both sizes? 🤔😅 My best guess is that from their product testing, they concluded that the shorter stem gives better results for shorter bottles so they needed to design it with multiple stems. @@DadLifePGH hey just thought I’d come back with my experience and to see what you thought Overall I really do like the Momcozy. It’s way easier to fit a lot more items due to it being encased by the unit itself instead of fully open like the Brezza. It seems to clean about the same (leaves a thin chalky film on my items similar to the Brezza, I think it’s my hard water) I hate not having a waste bucket and really think they should find a way to add one in the next revision. Just make it a bit longer like the Brezza. It’s a huge convenience that is missing. I ended up buying a 3Q container and routing the hose into it and that works ok. The screen and functions ended up being a bit more confusing if I’m being honest, despite the clear buttons. Brezza allows you to select each permutation of wash, steam, dry and updates the time it’ll take. Momcozy doesn’t show the total time, and I can’t even select dry so I guess that is just automatic? I wish I could run just a wash cycle, open it up, add items, and sterilize, but if I select just wash, it will drain the entire water bucket and I need to refill. And then the sterilize feature drains another full bucket, which seems wasteful. Curious to hear if you know what I mean. It seems a bit wasteful on water and makes the machine a bit more restrictive Oh one more thing, the min and max lines on the fill container are ridiculously close, and so close to the top that I have to tip toe to the machine and pray it doesn’t spill. The lid also seems to be warping or something as I see gaps after a few uses. Again, I really wish they would look at the Brezza for how they designed the containers.

      @@Ashhong1 that is awesome feedback and I truly appreciate you taking the time to share these insights! Yes, 💯 on pretty much everything that you mentioned. I haven’t experienced the chalky residue yet on my end but it’s definitely a concern for people living in areas with “harder” water. I think since we settled on the Momcozy unit, we got used to not having the waste water tank but I can definitely understand that if you started with a waste water tank, then that would be something you’d grow to be accustomed to. Now that you bring it up, yes - the MC unit doesn’t show the full time. I think we usually just leave it after we set it to run because we have other things to take care of and haven’t noticed it. I will definitely share this feedback with MC and see if they can address your use case where you’d want to wash it, open it up, and sterilize in their next version. Our unit is almost always very full with parts so we haven’t had this need, but I certainly see how this could be useful if the unit wasn’t fully loaded up! As for the warping issue, I’ve noticed it ever so slightly on the top rim a bit but it hasn’t caused any sealing issues for me yet. Has it degraded the performance of the container for you? And yes - the min/max lines are definitely pretty close. I’ve overshot it a few times and it doesn’t seem to negatively impact anything so it’s probably not a huge concern - at least for me. I really love all your feedback, so thank you!🙏🏻

      @DadLifePGH หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@htbjudge7285 Great questions! Sometimes, both are on at the same time. For the air purifier: We usually have that running on “low”all day just to keep the sleeping clean. For the humidifier: 1) the Levoit one that we have has an “auto” feature where you can set a desired humidity level for the room and if it drops below that amount, the humidifier will automatically turn on until the room reaches that level. We use this feature the majority of the time. 2) If our child has a stuffy nose, then in addition to other remedies, we will usually turn on the humidifier when they are sleeping on “low” or “med” depending on how dry the room is so there is a constant flow of mist to keep the air moist which helps them breathe a bit easier and alleviate the stuffy nose symptoms while they are sleeping. The Snoo (or an automatic cradle) can save the parents up to an hour to two of sleep per night. Especially at the newborn stage, when you are feeding every 2-3 hours. If you feed and change for 30 minutes and the baby goes back to sleep immediately, that is great. But for colic babies or distressed babies who need some kind of soothing and rocking in your arms, that's another 30 minutes of rocking your arms. All the while at 3AM, when you are tired and half dead - increasing the risks of trips and falls. In a single night that is an additional 30minutes x 2 to 3 sessions of soothing. An automatic cradle improves parents mental wellbeing and baby safety by so much it should be a healthcare default. This logic is applicable during the day too. Secondly, the Snoo's swaddle is taped down to the bed surface. It guarantees the baby cannot roll onto its front potentially reducing SIDS probabilities. It also makes sure the baby doesn't wake up suddenly by swatting itself as it rolls. The tip to using the Snoo is to entirely not use its automatic AI nonsense. Just swaddle and strap the baby in, open the app and press the rocking button. Wait until baby stops crying and then turn the whole machine off. Your logic on the transition is not true because you can use the Snoo until 6 months of age. At 6 months of age, whether a baby sleeps or not is dependent on too many other things in the baseline rather than just they have machine rocked to sleep in the past. Don't forget that in the baseline, you would ALSO have rocked a colic-ky baby to sleep in your arms ANYWAY. So how would that hand/arm-rocked baby transition to a fixed non-rocking crib? At 6 months, the baby is only feeding every 4 hours which means a large amount of mental and physical work has been reduced from the parents. Source: baby with extreme colic that needed an hour of soothing after feeding.

    • @home-pd6qu
      @home-pd6qu หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also if you ever get a chance to see a Snoo in action, the rocking motion is EXTREMELY gentle and CONSISTENT. I have seen way too many parents and grandparents swinging the baby or bobbing themselves up and down at dangerous (shaken baby syndrome) frequencies. Making silly puckering noises, walking without looking etc. You can VISIBLY see their stress increasing as the baby cries harder and they rock the baby harder. None of this is possible in a Snoo.

    • @home-pd6qu
      @home-pd6qu หลายเดือนก่อน

      Last last comment. With regards to all the pricing nosense, here are some more tips: - never buy a Snoo, rent it. There are lots of places that rent it. - dont purchase any of the premium features. None of it is necessary. Lastly, there are 5 levels of rocking (Baseline - 1,2,3,4). We never rock it beyond Baseline and level1 period.

    • @DadLifePGH
      @DadLifePGH 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ohMissLewis Great point! I haven’t experienced any limescale buildup yet on our machine since I’m using purified water straight from the tap as we have a filtration system under our kitchen sink. I definitely agree that using distilled water is painful! I reached out to Momcozy to get their thoughts on this, and they said that tapwater can be used and depending on the hardness of the water in your area you may get limescale buildup over time. But you can also use filtered water (i.e if you have a fridge that has a built-in filter) or reverse osmosis water. They also said that there is no risk to the machine from the limescale and you don’t need to take apart the entire machine as you mentioned. There are a few ways to remove the limescale safely. 1. You can remove all of the parts and wash them in the sink and then reattach everything. 2. It is suggested that typically using citric acid or white vinegar are two other ways to remove the limescale. Their team is also currently developing a Momcozy-branded limescale remover. 3. To use white vinegar for descaling, you can add 5-10ml of vinegar directly to the inner chamber during the wash cycle. Alternatively, you can mix 50ml of vinegar with 100ml of cold water and pour it into the water tank to run a cleaning cycle. If you still have your machine, maybe you can give us a try in case that helps? I believe most, if not all, baby bottle washers on the market recommend using distilled water or reverse osmosis water, so this issue will likely occur with any product you use. This descaling process will be helpful for anything that you end up using!
