Traxxas Velineon brushless motor rebuild

Try Protek fans. I replaced the Velineon VXL-3s ESC fan with Protek fan. Still waiting for the motor's heatsink so I can install a Protek on it as well. I don't know about longevity of the Protek but it outperform the Traxxas fans.

What size spur gear is that

I believe that is the stock gear.

I'm sorry, match or mesh? Getting the gears to mesh correctly can be tough, there are videos out there.
