I clicked on this video before seeing who it was so I didn’t even realize it was you while I was watching and honestly your voice doesn’t really stand out in a good or bad way, I just thought this was a different channel with someone who does voiceovers. I like the robot voice and your real one equally, yours is really not annoying at all and I think you should do whatever’s easier for you as the creator.
They actually did get a first win...kinda. They got minus points in a category they couldn’t get minus points and even if they got 0 points they would’ve won but instead I think there was an error and the win went to everglow instead. I am still happy for everglow since I also love them very much and they worked really hard but I also want deukae to finally get their first win
I've been a Swiftie for nearly 10 years now, so i guess i have some rights to talk about entertainment company. When Taylor released 1989 (album, includes Blank Space, Bad Blood etc.) in 2014, she just never let anyone to use her songs on their videos. She never put her songs to TH-cam and that was the time she got the most HATE. I even felt controversial about her decision as a fan. Everyone was saying that she's just a 'privileged, money lover white girl' which's a disgusting stereotype. After she left Big Machine Records when they stole her album rights, she revealed that THEY pushed her yto these actions because they own her music. She said it wasn't her choice and she had faced a lot of struggles through the years. But she always looked happy that times. What I'm saying is fans thinking they know their idols, guys truly we know nothing. We don't know how they treat people around them, we don't know them when the spotlight fades. You'll probably say 'I watch their EVERY SECOND OF THEIR LIVES' aka Vlive etc. but I knew Taylor back then and she never even mentioned it, ya know? There were no hints at all. I didn't know the pain she felt because she didn't let us feel it. So please remember that supporting our idols should never be attacking other artists, since we actually don't know anything.

100% yes. Especially after watching Miss Americana, there were a lot of things that I learned that I didn't know like how she struggled in 1989 era to keep up with the body standards. So we don't really know anything about these idols and the pain they feel.
I feel like if a group wants to breakthrough in America, they need to make either original English songs or change the title (like Loona's Star), since I don't think that the radio will pay attention to songs that includes "English Version" in their name

I don't think BTS will go downhill... They clearly know what they are doing.. for example Boy With Luv did extremely well and BTS took almost a year hiatus.. but even then ON & Blackswan even though it did well couldn't come close to the impact Boy With Luv had... Then they dropped Dynamite and it outdid BWL in every single aspect.. eventhough it was completely meant for international market the Korean gp ate it up no matter it being an English song and not promoted in Korea at all.. Even LGO wasn't prioritized in the performances they did, it was Dynamite that was prioritized... This is kind of a pattern for BTS.. just like how Fake Love did so well but Idol didn't do that well compared to Fake Love.. I don't think BTS have reached their peak not even close.. because whenever I think that they'll drop something that will have a even big impact!
It’s very hard to replicate dynamites success so naturally they will fall down (unless they make a huge hit) doesn’t mean that they’re gonna become irrevelant tho, that would be very hard with their fanbase. It’s more like a bumby road, they’ll probably have hits here and there and still remain successful just not as succesful as 2020 since last year they were at their peak

Dynamite was a catchy retro pop song that big hit promoted endlessly and was being played everywhere, lgo is a ballad that wasn’t geared to the western audience like dynamite was. Ballads almost never do as well as catchy pop songs, for multiple reasons (promotional periods are shorter, radio plays less ballads, and locals tend to gravitate to upbeat songs.
Rather than saying they'd go downhill, a better way to put it would be to say that 2020 was an unprecedented year of success for BTS, and it's exhausting to replicate that for a whole another year? Axie's kinda right bc BTS did say they'd pull back from their Western journey once the grammys are over. BTS will still be popular and well loved by the fanbase + korean gp though, I just think they'll pull back to focus on growing as musicians even more. As an army, I'm so so proud of what BTS has achieved in 2020, and I really don't mind if BTS chooses to have a quieter/ restful year in 2021. I miss their concerts so much though, damn.
And about Twice.... JYP don't lose your 3rd gen GG please buckle the fuck up. We already lost Got7 until whenever they can get back together again. We can't lose Twice too.

@@pinkkam their 2020 fanbase growth can be compared only with their 2017 growth, some armys compared statistics. if in 2021 this growth slows down, it's natural and not the end of the world, in 2018 it slowed down too (if we compare it to 2017), but then 2020 happened

I love Bts a lot but their recent comebacks just aren’t up to par with their older ones. Like I think they are trying to go for a more softer/serious type of vibe so that TxT can rise up yknow. Maybe it’s just me but I have a feeling they are trying to slow down so TxT can hit it off big or at least close to how they did.
Honestly, I really want the last prediction to come true, because there are so many deserving rookie gg I feel deserve it (Cherry Bullet, Weeekly, Cignature, Secret Number), but I worry it will be like Momoland: they have one explosive success, people hyper focus on them, get angry at them for the smallest things, and then they go back to being obscure. As an aespa fan, I really hope they don't get into any scandals which could further taint their image especially so early in their career, I've really grown to love the girls and feel really bad that they get so much hate for simply existing like people have to remember that these are really just 4 girls who trained extremely hard for this, to live out their dream imagine simple because of the toxicity and jealousy of other fandoms they aren't able to enjoy that
I have watched so many k-pop predictions in 2021 that has aespa in it and all of them predict that aespa will have a scandal in their comeback. Either its a member scandal or as a group but seeing and hearing those things I hope they have a strong mind to overcome the hateful comments that they will receive in the future and will be okay and still be healthy emotionally and physically.
That's interesting because I'm in the middle with æspa, I don't adore them or hate them. I think their debut was fantastic for a debut but it will take much more to impress me. Like an actual discography.
The bts prediction is kinda stale... I've seen the same said in the beginning of 2018,2019,2020 and now again. Jin, the oldest, has to enlist by december 2022, that is in almost 2 years. (Now after the revision of the military service law that allows postponement until the international age of 30.) I don't know your channel, this video was just recommended to me so i clicked it, but that prediction in particular always leaves me feeling like people are hoping and praying bts will finally become irrelevant so their faves can get to their spot. And it's not happening. Most fans of theirs, Korean and international, only stan them and are not multis, thus more dedicated and way less likely to simply pick up the next best popular group once they enlist. This is just my opinion, not gospel, don't take it too personally y'all.

I think they are going to stay flat for awhile especially when over here in the US, kpop stops being a trend. I also think while they aren’t falling or going up, TxT is going to rise and become really big as well. I have a slight feeling that Bts is sorta “calming” down so TxT can share the spotlight as well before they hit it off big again. However, I also feel that if they continue producing the music they have now, in the future it’s going to cause a setback for them. Regardless, Bts has set a huge record for kpop mostly in the younger generations and their impact will never be forgotten and even if they won’t at the very top anymore they will still have a huge fanbase at the end.
I agree, JYPE MV quality are becoming worse. They do not even have that many groups unlike Sm (who got a lot of artist to take care of) but still Jype can't give their artist a good quality video and Twice is pretty much the victim of this mismanagement
the "bts will go downhill" is a bit misleading imo. bts has a strong, committed fanbase both internationally && domestically so i don't think "going downhill" is the appropriate term for it. i'd say they're comfortable enough with their fanbase that they can release more songs that don't necessarily revolve around attracting more people, but are more personal. i don't think bts will ever go "downhill" with the things they've contributed in k-pop and in korea's economy, they have the biggest fanbase to ever exist and their discography is the broadest i've ever seen. if people do take interest in bts i'm sure they'll find a song that resonates with them
people've been saying that BTS will go downhill for years... and LGO performed not like Dynamite for a number of reasons. it's not even fair to compare it with Dynamite that became a global hit and had industry support in the West. some people say in Korea it became so popular after it got #1 on Hot 100. LGO was an album release + no industry support (because it was in Korean basically, it didn't even get proper global playlisting) + in SK it was against a viral song, ULs is the most important metric for most of the Korean charts, and that song (VHS?) was a big hit. fandoms can't compete with GP. LGO and BE are still successful, they got Gaon year-end awards. if we compare BE+LGO with MOTS7+ON, there was a big improvement. all popular artists have some huge hits that are just bigger than anything, but it doesn't mean they are going downhill with their future releases. I don't think their global expansion will go down, their creativity is always unpredictable, who knows in what direction they will go with their future releases? their creative freedom is a factor of their success. moreover, they have some huge commercial deals (for example, their Coca-Cola ad is a huge thing, Samsung commercial has already brought new fans and this one has a chance to be played on Super Bowl) and they are expanding into new regions (India - interview promo, Indonesia - commercials). and let's look at them in a global context. with Dynamite they got what A-list Western artists always get (and I would say radio play was still poorer than their's). so no, they didn't reach all their potential fans with this one release. Western artists get such treatment every release and every time their fanbase grows. 8 years aren't a lot for a global star. and for the global scene they are even younger than that. armys are very loyal, so enlistment isn't really a threat for them too, some artists don't release music for years and they don't lose their popularity, bts have a lot of content and, as I remember, in their IPO report BigHit said they are going to pre-record content (I'm not sure). honestly, the only things that make their global expansion harder are music industry itself and media. Korean music doesn't get industry support and media still downplay their success because of different stereotypes and prejudice. and in Korea too, music critic Kim Youngdae was mad at Korean media: some journalists called him to learn more about Grammys and he felt that they WANTED BTS's nomination to be smaller and less meaningful than it was. I don't know why all these predictions always fail to consider or fail to mention all this and look at things superficially.
One reason why I think More & More did so well was because it came out so much longer after feel special than their usual gap between releases. This is kinda funny since many groups only release one thing per year and this was somehow twice’s longest hiatus ever, but I do think it did play into it.
Remember too though. More and More was their first comeback ever to be after 9 months. And after Mina’s hiatus so their expectations was very high. But More and More didn’t bode well with Koreans as much as previous ones so I can’t stop me was looked over to an extent until weeks into its promotions. However More and More was needed for their maturity. So I reckon JYPE will see this and act upon it. That’s just my opinion I reckon TWICE will dominate in both Korean and international markets BECAUSE of their mature concept. Koreans always wanted TWICE to be cute however after Cry For Me was released it blew up in Korea. And the same with international fans. They want more dark/rap based songs which they tested with Cry For Me and Better (double rap). They’re also doing English versions so I reckon an English album much like their Japanese albums. I actually sense a good year for TWICE both domestically and internationally

It shot to melon #1 trending which is due to the General public almost every time it was performed. For a non promoted song only meant for fans it was very good performing. But it doesn't matter, they sold more than 500,000 albums for more&more and more than 400,000 for EWO, it doesn't matter if they don't do well in charts cause' they sell, they already have a name, they keep winning at music shows, i mean they are popular. For example Lovelyz, they are not that popular internationally, but they sell well.

do you really think JYP has “matured” Twice’s concept because he wants a bigger international fanbase. I think both the company and the girls just want to move in a different artistic direction. And the same for M&M I honestly think the album with M&M should’ve been a full one instead of EWO, I’m not hating on the girls but I just think M&M would’ve been a great kickstart to start their new concept. Then after M&M, ICSM could’ve been released but moreso as a single which could then produce another album later in the year with CFM being apart of EWO. Honestly with the B-sides for EWO I think CFM would’ve been a better title track. Also I agree 100%; THEY NEEDED TO PROMOTE MORE!!! I think the main reason for M&M to sell so much is that it had the longest hiatus between Twice comebacks. It was 9 months since Feel Special. Fans were starving, especially after Mina's hiatus and her return for M&M. Meanwhile EWO was released only 4 months after More & More, which is less than the usual 6 months in-between 2 yearly comebacks. From that to the fact that JYPE releases 1092891028 Twice merch all the time, fans just don't have that much money.

I honestly think that 2021 is going to be the year of twice, not because they will be more successful or become even more famous, I say it more in the sense of the comfort of the girls and musically, I say it Based on 2020, it has been one of the years where they had the most rest, even Sana mentioned that she was a bit bored, also because of small things like Sana and Momo's Live at 3 AM, i can say that they look more comfortable than in other years
I dont think bts will have a downfall simply because in places like america they are very popular but in small countries like bulgaria there are still a lot of young people who dont know about bts or haven't heard many songs so i think in 2021 bts will have more fans from smaller countries

I'm a MY and I kinda agree with aespa. 2020 was a hell for our girls, a bunch of hate are been thrown at them although they don't deserve it but as Sm will continue to make more riskier and questionable move, controversies will not died down as of 2021. But I do believe that aespa will still gain more love and popularity especially in overseas regardless of scandals and controversies that are circulating, aespa will still do well and that would only keep the public interest on them

I think there's a number of reasons twice didn't do as well as well in 2020: the HORRIBLE teasers that showed too much and destroyed hype, the too sudden of a concept change between m&m and ewo. Ewo had too many skips, like believer, depend on you, bring it back, behind the mask, shot clock, etc (sorry, ewo shouldve been a short album 😭) and they changed producers, so the "twice sound" was a little lost. Being fully honest, icsm's mv is one of their worst and least cohesive and obviously jeongyeon couldn't promote, and twice as a whole isnt doing as well as they used to. However, the korean public liked cry for me! I think if they go for more flawless production like that, and twice members get the mental support they need, they should be fine. They'll always have a dedicated fanbase waiting for them.

I think EWO has been their best album to date. The musicality and diversity was amazing. Yeah there may have been some such as Shot Clock which I know won’t be praised until a concert happens. But the amount of critical acclaim it has literally shows how good it is

I think twice should do a subunit or a solo. I mean they are a senior group and all these years they've only had group activities and I'm sure fans would be a lot more excited for a solo/subunit.
It would be so cool to have rap based subunit. I think both Chae and Dahyun are great rappers but they rarely rap in their songs, either they sing or 'talk'. I want them to get enough attention for their talents.

I think the reasons Twice’s sales are low are because their international shipment comes after literally 2 months , also JYP milk onces in a 4-month period, from #Twice3, In tzuyu,.... in 4 months, after more and more. I hope it will not be the case for Twice going downhill because I love them so much!!! I hope they continue to have success and thrive in both international and national success.

I think that using your voice gives your channel some sort of iconicity apart from the core of its uniqueness which is your ✨taste✨. The Daniel voice is rather exploted in kpop youtube and might make casual viewers forget about your channel faster than if you use your voice, which will further extend your expression when speaking and the personality of your videos.
I'm predicting Dreamcatcher's first win... They've become more and more popular, and they've been around for 4 years (excluding the Minx years) so if they don't get their win this year it's just ridiculous. They've been robbed once, and we don't want that again.

Before M&M Twice had 9months of gap but in the gap also they released &Twice and Fake and True Tzuyu’s first photo album, different merch and Swing then also they pullout 580K for making best selling gg ep of all time and between M&M and ICSM there was only4months of gap in which we got Twice online concert, Fanfare, Twice3 album, Different new merch, better pre release and so much more like magazine etc. with that much content fans were almost run out of money but also they managed to get 480K+ sales which is very great.In Korean music shows also all group were having hard time because Dynamite was there it also had affected Ice cream and Lovesick girl to get more wins like wise it blocked Twice to have more wins but also ICSM got 7 wins.

For predictions 4 and 5: I believe bts will go down in popularity.. I dont think twice will go down but will stay more neutral or go up a little internationally. But i agree with their presence in mvs, and song quality being "worse'' in 2020 than 2019. Eyes wide open didnt have the spark that feel special and fancy, especially with b-sides. (but the title tracks are amazing and same with bts. as a long time stan i see that you think that and agree somewhat. you put it in the best way possible.)
For me I think BTS popularity will not going down. They will be much popular because they will win big next year in international awards based on Dynamite success. Only their hype is going down. For Twice, I think their popularity would go natural and their hype definitely go down.

Loona star has been played multiple times on my local radio station and I’m from America I’m glad that Twice is trying mature songs because I really love it especially Feel special And I’m hoping for Oh my Girl to have a comeback it’s been like 8 months
Thank you for sharing your predictions! Just a few comments (in my opinion, ofc): -I hope aespa doesn't have another big scandal, for the girls mental sake. I do think though that if we look past those problems, they will become the biggest gg 4th gen group. -twitter is probably the most toxic social media right now, it has been for quite some time already, and not just with Kpop. I had an account just for national politics (being myself portuguese) and I had to delete not because of something happened against me, it was just too much toxicity circulating. And it was a totally different subject and language, so I feel like there's nothing we can do about it other than to act according to our ethics -I also think Twice will start going downhill on their korean base if they continue with the style that they brought their on their last comeback - which is a shame because honestly it was my favourite comeback and album from them, by far. I respectfully disagree with the BTS prediction. A k-pop group who had 2 #1 singles on the Billboard charts in one year simply cannot go downhill in popularity. If anything, Dynamite was an introduction to BTS for the western general public. I don't think we've reached BTS's peak, this is the highest they've ever been but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be *the* highest, they'll ever get if that makes sense. This is 100% my opinion of course
I actually disagree with the BTS opinion. Just because they had a successful year does not mean "there is only one way to go...down". They can keep having successful years just like 2020. Also lgo was definitely not a flop. It was amazing and hit #1 on countless charts. Just my opinion though.

I don't really have any predictions but I have soo many wishes!!! One of them is groups like ONEUS and DREAMCATCHER to have their first win. (BTW ONEUS JUST HAD A COMEBACK CALLED 'NO DIGGITY' AND IT IS A M A Z I N G!!!) Another is for groups like BVNDIT to be more popular because now I am super worried about BVNDIT, i hope nothing goes wrong.... and also A.C.E !! I hope the music from groups don't become bland or just something we have heard before because the thing with music is that it's pretty easy to have similar melodies or lyrics and they just don't give you the same feeling you know? So i just hope that it would be better in 2021. And lastly, I hope the popular groups down go downhill like you said BTS and TWICE because it would be SUCH a shame if all the popular iconic groups, the groups that made huge differences and gave so much memories and songs to us would start losing fame (maybe not because they are getting old just that more groups are debuting and so a lot off people will have to make room to focus on them too) so yea that's it!
for the twice thing, i think we should also take into the picture that they have three active girl groups right now. One is Itzy, Twice who is stuck with their concept, and why's that? NiziU that's why (i honestly havent heard much from them besides for their debut) but having two girl groups doing the same concept especially when both were formed similarly would be a major conflict of interest
I think the small group that will blow up is StayC, they have an amazing team, they’re all great visuals, they’re all talented, and there names are pretty easy to learn
I feel like StayC has a big chance for success. Their debut was pretty popular and even though the style wasn't totally new they took all the best things in that genre and combined them to an absolute bop. It felt somewhat refreshing. Plus they have some unique voices and can easily stand out from the crowd. I hope they follow up with another great song.
Tbh Eyes wide open is such a great album and Twice doesn't deserves to go downhill not after I Can't Stop Me at least I mean ICSM is one of the best songs from Twice I feel. I think you were a little wrong about Twice. Twice has picked up so much steam Internationally in 2019-2020 so that will continue to grow with their concept change since they've already acquired all of the fans that would be attracted a cute image. The new International fans would also make up for the loss in fake fans who don't like their change in direction. Mini-album's tend to do better in kpop all around so I'm not surprised I Can't Stop Me sales are not as crazy fast as More and More. But think about More & More entered the Billboard 200 at #200, while I Can't Stop Me entered at #72. This means Americans are paying attention to them, and we've seen how beneficial that is with BTS and Black Pink. So Twice will get bigger and their core fans will stick with them if they appreciate artistry. What other group do you know actually is telling us the story of them growing up and finally saying it's time to be a woman? It's time to be dark and powerful and sexy but still cute at the same time! Only Twice. Almost every other kpop group randomizes their concepts like crazy.

I've been a Swiftie for nearly 10 years now, so i guess i have some rights to talk about entertainment company. When Taylor released 1989 (album, includes Blank Space, Bad Blood etc.) in 2014, she just never let anyone to use her songs on their videos. She never put her songs to TH-cam and that was the time she got the most HATE. I even felt controversial about her decision as a fan. Everyone was saying that she's just a 'privileged, money lover white girl' which's a disgusting stereotype.
After she left Big Machine Records when they stole her album rights, she revealed that THEY pushed her yto these actions because they own her music. She said it wasn't her choice and she had faced a lot of struggles through the years. But she always looked happy that times.
What I'm saying is fans thinking they know their idols, guys truly we know nothing. We don't know how they treat people around them, we don't know them when the spotlight fades. You'll probably say 'I watch their EVERY SECOND OF THEIR LIVES' aka Vlive etc. but I knew Taylor back then and she never even mentioned it, ya know? There were no hints at all. I didn't know the pain she felt because she didn't let us feel it.
So please remember that supporting our idols should never be attacking other artists, since we actually don't know anything.

Dynamite was a catchy retro pop song that big hit promoted endlessly and was being played everywhere, lgo is a ballad that wasn’t geared to the western audience like dynamite was. Ballads almost never do as well as catchy pop songs, for multiple reasons (promotional periods are shorter, radio plays less ballads, and locals tend to gravitate to upbeat songs.
Rather than saying they'd go downhill, a better way to put it would be to say that 2020 was an unprecedented year of success for BTS, and it's exhausting to replicate that for a whole another year? Axie's kinda right bc BTS did say they'd pull back from their Western journey once the grammys are over. BTS will still be popular and well loved by the fanbase + korean gp though, I just think they'll pull back to focus on growing as musicians even more. As an army, I'm so so proud of what BTS has achieved in 2020, and I really don't mind if BTS chooses to have a quieter/ restful year in 2021. I miss their concerts so much though, damn.

The bts prediction is kinda stale... I've seen the same said in the beginning of 2018,2019,2020 and now again. Jin, the oldest, has to enlist by december 2022, that is in almost 2 years. (Now after the revision of the military service law that allows postponement until the international age of 30.)
I don't know your channel, this video was just recommended to me so i clicked it, but that prediction in particular always leaves me feeling like people are hoping and praying bts will finally become irrelevant so their faves can get to their spot. And it's not happening. Most fans of theirs, Korean and international, only stan them and are not multis, thus more dedicated and way less likely to simply pick up the next best popular group once they enlist.

I think they are going to stay flat for awhile especially when over here in the US, kpop stops being a trend. I also think while they aren’t falling or going up, TxT is going to rise and become really big as well. I have a slight feeling that Bts is sorta “calming” down so TxT can share the spotlight as well before they hit it off big again. However, I also feel that if they continue producing the music they have now, in the future it’s going to cause a setback for them. Regardless, Bts has set a huge record for kpop mostly in the younger generations and their impact will never be forgotten and even if they won’t at the very top anymore they will still have a huge fanbase at the end.

the "bts will go downhill" is a bit misleading imo. bts has a strong, committed fanbase both internationally && domestically so i don't think "going downhill" is the appropriate term for it. i'd say they're comfortable enough with their fanbase that they can release more songs that don't necessarily revolve around attracting more people, but are more personal. i don't think bts will ever go "downhill" with the things they've contributed in k-pop and in korea's economy, they have the biggest fanbase to ever exist and their discography is the broadest i've ever seen. if people do take interest in bts i'm sure they'll find a song that resonates with them

people've been saying that BTS will go downhill for years... and LGO performed not like Dynamite for a number of reasons. it's not even fair to compare it with Dynamite that became a global hit and had industry support in the West. some people say in Korea it became so popular after it got #1 on Hot 100. LGO was an album release + no industry support (because it was in Korean basically, it didn't even get proper global playlisting) + in SK it was against a viral song, ULs is the most important metric for most of the Korean charts, and that song (VHS?) was a big hit. fandoms can't compete with GP. LGO and BE are still successful, they got Gaon year-end awards. if we compare BE+LGO with MOTS7+ON, there was a big improvement. all popular artists have some huge hits that are just bigger than anything, but it doesn't mean they are going downhill with their future releases.
I don't think their global expansion will go down, their creativity is always unpredictable, who knows in what direction they will go with their future releases? their creative freedom is a factor of their success. moreover, they have some huge commercial deals (for example, their Coca-Cola ad is a huge thing, Samsung commercial has already brought new fans and this one has a chance to be played on Super Bowl) and they are expanding into new regions (India - interview promo, Indonesia - commercials).
and let's look at them in a global context. with Dynamite they got what A-list Western artists always get (and I would say radio play was still poorer than their's). so no, they didn't reach all their potential fans with this one release. Western artists get such treatment every release and every time their fanbase grows. 8 years aren't a lot for a global star. and for the global scene they are even younger than that. armys are very loyal, so enlistment isn't really a threat for them too, some artists don't release music for years and they don't lose their popularity, bts have a lot of content and, as I remember, in their IPO report BigHit said they are going to pre-record content (I'm not sure).
honestly, the only things that make their global expansion harder are music industry itself and media. Korean music doesn't get industry support and media still downplay their success because of different stereotypes and prejudice. and in Korea too, music critic Kim Youngdae was mad at Korean media: some journalists called him to learn more about Grammys and he felt that they WANTED BTS's nomination to be smaller and less meaningful than it was.
I don't know why all these predictions always fail to consider or fail to mention all this and look at things superficially.

One reason why I think More & More did so well was because it came out so much longer after feel special than their usual gap between releases. This is kinda funny since many groups only release one thing per year and this was somehow twice’s longest hiatus ever, but I do think it did play into it.
Remember too though. More and More was their first comeback ever to be after 9 months. And after Mina’s hiatus so their expectations was very high. But More and More didn’t bode well with Koreans as much as previous ones so I can’t stop me was looked over to an extent until weeks into its promotions. However More and More was needed for their maturity. So I reckon JYPE will see this and act upon it. That’s just my opinion
I reckon TWICE will dominate in both Korean and international markets BECAUSE of their mature concept. Koreans always wanted TWICE to be cute however after Cry For Me was released it blew up in Korea. And the same with international fans. They want more dark/rap based songs which they tested with Cry For Me and Better (double rap). They’re also doing English versions so I reckon an English album much like their Japanese albums. I actually sense a good year for TWICE both domestically and internationally

I think the main reason for M&M to sell so much is that it had the longest hiatus between Twice comebacks. It was 9 months since Feel Special. Fans were starving, especially after Mina's hiatus and her return for M&M. Meanwhile EWO was released only 4 months after More & More, which is less than the usual 6 months in-between 2 yearly comebacks. From that to the fact that JYPE releases 1092891028 Twice merch all the time, fans just don't have that much money.
idk abt you but 2020 was MY YEAR for kpop. there was so much 80s synthesizer themed music which i love sm sm sm sm sm sm sm and even tho the "retro 80s" trend was huge in 2020 i hope it stays in 2021

I honestly think that 2021 is going to be the year of twice, not because they will be more successful or become even more famous, I say it more in the sense of the comfort of the girls and musically, I say it Based on 2020, it has been one of the years where they had the most rest, even Sana mentioned that she was a bit bored, also because of small things like Sana and Momo's Live at 3 AM, i can say that they look more comfortable than in other years
I dont think bts will have a downfall simply because in places like america they are very popular but in small countries like bulgaria there are still a lot of young people who dont know about bts or haven't heard many songs so i think in 2021 bts will have more fans from smaller countries

I'm a MY and I kinda agree with aespa. 2020 was a hell for our girls, a bunch of hate are been thrown at them although they don't deserve it but as Sm will continue to make more riskier and questionable move, controversies will not died down as of 2021. But I do believe that aespa will still gain more love and popularity especially in overseas regardless of scandals and controversies that are circulating, aespa will still do well and that would only keep the public interest on them

I think there's a number of reasons twice didn't do as well as well in 2020: the HORRIBLE teasers that showed too much and destroyed hype, the too sudden of a concept change between m&m and ewo. Ewo had too many skips, like believer, depend on you, bring it back, behind the mask, shot clock, etc (sorry, ewo shouldve been a short album 😭) and they changed producers, so the "twice sound" was a little lost. Being fully honest, icsm's mv is one of their worst and least cohesive and obviously jeongyeon couldn't promote, and twice as a whole isnt doing as well as they used to. However, the korean public liked cry for me! I think if they go for more flawless production like that, and twice members get the mental support they need, they should be fine. They'll always have a dedicated fanbase waiting for them.

EWO is the best Kpop album of 2020 imho... so I guess it's great they released the whole thing bc tastes can be very different 😅
I think EWO has been their best album to date. The musicality and diversity was amazing. Yeah there may have been some such as Shot Clock which I know won’t be praised until a concert happens. But the amount of critical acclaim it has literally shows how good it is

It would be so cool to have rap based subunit. I think both Chae and Dahyun are great rappers but they rarely rap in their songs, either they sing or 'talk'. I want them to get enough attention for their talents.

I think the reasons Twice’s sales are low are because their international shipment comes after literally 2 months , also JYP milk onces in a 4-month period, from #Twice3, In tzuyu,.... in 4 months, after more and more. I hope it will not be the case for Twice going downhill because I love them so much!!! I hope they continue to have success and thrive in both international and national success.

I think that using your voice gives your channel some sort of iconicity apart from the core of its uniqueness which is your ✨taste✨. The Daniel voice is rather exploted in kpop youtube and might make casual viewers forget about your channel faster than if you use your voice, which will further extend your expression when speaking and the personality of your videos.
I'm predicting Dreamcatcher's first win... They've become more and more popular, and they've been around for 4 years (excluding the Minx years) so if they don't get their win this year it's just ridiculous. They've been robbed once, and we don't want that again.

Before M&M Twice had 9months of gap but in the gap also they released &Twice and Fake and True Tzuyu’s first photo album, different merch and Swing then also they pullout 580K for making best selling gg ep of all time and between M&M and ICSM there was only4months of gap in which we got Twice online concert, Fanfare, Twice3 album, Different new merch, better pre release and so much more like magazine etc. with that much content fans were almost run out of money but also they managed to get 480K+ sales which is very great.In Korean music shows also all group were having hard time because Dynamite was there it also had affected Ice cream and Lovesick girl to get more wins like wise it blocked Twice to have more wins but also ICSM got 7 wins.
- about the *english versions* : agree! like for example, itzy will release an album with their all of their title tracks in english next week. while i'm not all against english versions, i feel like sometimes it's unnecessary like in itzy's case, they aren't even 2 years old so i feel like jype is trying to hard to make them international/US famous already. i've talked to a lot of midzy's and most of them would've prefered new music instead too but oh well we'll take what we get i guess haha.

- i reallyyyy hope for a *stayc or/and everglow rise* ! stayc seems promising since they already had a good amount of success and attention in south korea which seems to be a good start and base for a career. they also have literally everything - vocals, dancing, visuals, unqiue voices, already famous/known members + producers who made bops like tt, cheer up or touch my body. in everglow's case, they have a good fanbase internationally but sadly not a stable one at home. idk if they will ever cause most koreans seem to boycott them since they're from a chinese company (like can you imagine being that dumb smh) and their sound doesn not seem too appealing for them as well. so i just hope that they will have a release that blops up in south korea and brings a lot of new korean fans :)

For predictions 4 and 5: I believe bts will go down in popularity.. I dont think twice will go down but will stay more neutral or go up a little internationally. But i agree with their presence in mvs, and song quality being "worse'' in 2020 than 2019. Eyes wide open didnt have the spark that feel special and fancy, especially with b-sides. (but the title tracks are amazing and same with bts. as a long time stan i see that you think that and agree somewhat. you put it in the best way possible.)

-I hope aespa doesn't have another big scandal, for the girls mental sake. I do think though that if we look past those problems, they will become the biggest gg 4th gen group.
-twitter is probably the most toxic social media right now, it has been for quite some time already, and not just with Kpop. I had an account just for national politics (being myself portuguese) and I had to delete not because of something happened against me, it was just too much toxicity circulating. And it was a totally different subject and language, so I feel like there's nothing we can do about it other than to act according to our ethics
-I also think Twice will start going downhill on their korean base if they continue with the style that they brought their on their last comeback - which is a shame because honestly it was my favourite comeback and album from them, by far. Let's see what JYP prioritizes. And yes, Can't Stop Me video was awful imo, the song deserved a better MV, considering the amount of money the girls make.

I respectfully disagree with the BTS prediction. A k-pop group who had 2 #1 singles on the Billboard charts in one year simply cannot go downhill in popularity. If anything, Dynamite was an introduction to BTS for the western general public. I don't think we've reached BTS's peak, this is the highest they've ever been but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be *the* highest, they'll ever get if that makes sense.

I actually disagree with the BTS opinion. Just because they had a successful year does not mean "there is only one way to go...down". They can keep having successful years just like 2020. Also lgo was definitely not a flop. It was amazing and hit #1 on countless charts. Just my opinion though.

I don't really have any predictions but I have soo many wishes!!! One of them is groups like ONEUS and DREAMCATCHER to have their first win. (BTW ONEUS JUST HAD A COMEBACK CALLED 'NO DIGGITY' AND IT IS A M A Z I N G!!!) Another is for groups like BVNDIT to be more popular because now I am super worried about BVNDIT, i hope nothing goes wrong.... and also A.C.E !! I hope the music from groups don't become bland or just something we have heard before because the thing with music is that it's pretty easy to have similar melodies or lyrics and they just don't give you the same feeling you know? So i just hope that it would be better in 2021. for the twice thing, i think we should also take into the picture that they have three active girl groups right now. One is Itzy, Twice who is stuck with their concept, and why's that? NiziU that's why (i honestly havent heard much from them besides for their debut) but having two girl groups doing the same concept especially when both were formed similarly would be a major conflict of interest
I think the small group that will blow up is StayC, they have an amazing team, they’re all great visuals, they’re all talented, and there names are pretty easy to learn
I feel like StayC has a big chance for success. Their debut was pretty popular and even though the style wasn't totally new they took all the best things in that genre and combined them to an absolute bop. It felt somewhat refreshing. Plus they have some unique voices and can easily stand out from the crowd. I hope they follow up with another great song.

I think you were a little wrong about Twice. Twice has picked up so much steam Internationally in 2019-2020 so that will continue to grow with their concept change since they've already acquired all of the fans that would be attracted a cute image. The new International fans would also make up for the loss in fake fans who don't like their change in direction. Mini-album's tend to do better in kpop all around so I'm not surprised I Can't Stop Me sales are not as crazy fast as More and More. But think about More & More entered the Billboard 200 at #200, while I Can't Stop Me entered at #72. This means Americans are paying attention to them, and we've seen how beneficial that is with BTS and Black Pink. So Twice will get bigger and their core fans will stick with them if they appreciate artistry. What other group do you know actually is telling us the story of them growing up and finally saying it's time to be a woman? It's time to be dark and powerful and sexy but still cute at the same time! Only Twice. Almost every other kpop group randomizes their concepts like crazy.
