Hi everyone! A lottt of people have commented on my pronunciation of dahyun, I now know how to pronounce it the right way, thanks for letting me know. And thank you for all of your support on this video!
@@reveorbit You were pretty close tbh, there is a slight push of an 'h' sound because if you read the korean spelling it's 다현. Plus you're speaking English, it doesn't really matter. I bet most people commenting you're pronouncing it wrong aren't saying it right either. It's a tricky language to pronounce correctly.
I hope that October has a lot of Halloween comebacks because there are so much summer songs but not enough Halloween horror songs! Love this video btw!!
no one actually asked but, here's one of mine: I think that the public only stan red velvet when they do "Bad Boy" kind concept, which is kinda sad because we already got a lot of groups with that concept and is good to see something different.
I dont think so, earlier on their debut they had a lot of people stanning because of their red style but SM-- this year for some reason releases "experimental" red flavor song.
FINALLY someone mentions how ‘unpopular’ kpop actually is in the west. kpop stans often find themselves in a small bubble and surround themselves with people that know kpop online like on twitter but I barely know anyone that likes kpop irl. Even the general public genuinely doesn’t care for it. A lot of people think that when groups like BTS preform on award shows they’ll get tons of new fans but in reality many locals just skip it and wait for acts they know like western artists.
it definitely is but it mainly stems from people that are already in stan culture like people like like anime, etc. it’s more difficult to see locals that like singers like drake or something even caring about kpop.
Exactly, Stray Kids are my ults and you know how their music isn't for everyone (mostly the title tracks), they are more targetted towards an audience since their title tracks and songs are more aggressive than the usual Kpop songs we hear and I know people who call their music "noise music" and I'm over here like wtf is noise music, it's called EDM combined with hip-hop, it's literally a genre and those songs are made to hype people up like I'm about to snap their necks like how Hyunjin snapped Felix's neck during Side Effects.
@LP - 07MM 924201 David Leeder MS OP implied it was a summer comeback from the first part of her sentence and Seulrene debuted so that wouldn't count as a comeback but I get what you were trying to say
In architecture noise is defined as unwanted sound and its specifically for sound pollution. But nevertheless people have different music taste, some ppl love loud music like rock, some ppl don't. A good thing about Kpop is that it has a variety
EXACTLY and they say: just because theyre popular doesnt mean theyre talented honey, let me tell you. just because your faves are not popular, doesnt mean they are extremely talented either
im okay if they just call themselves idols but twice have called themselves singers and are also acknowledged as singers! So imagine hearing the statement "Being a singer doesnt mean you have to be a good singer" like what. There is a video of momo calling herself a singer as well and not being able to do anything else if she weren't a singer.
@@vera-ou7eg I kinda agree for what you said they lack at singing but I think the main reason is actually jyp he doesn't have good vocal trainers twice may have potential to improve there singing they obviously lack at technique except jihyo and jeongyeon and tbh im not hating on twice they are amazing I love them but the title nation girl group is just to big I hope everyone can see my point of view and again im not hating on them just my opinion
an example of a group with no official positions is TXT. no one stands out, no one lefts behind. their talents are perfect and a member doesn't outshine another member. they're just a perfect group.
Actually every or most groups under SM are the most versatile but since Red Velvet is the only group promoting properly,I guess they could be called the most versatile group
@@mcrvm well do you see any other group apart from Red Velvet(and NCT) being promoted by SM? No. It's just those two and Red Velvet is one of the most promoted groups IN THIS TIME! I never meant in history
@@mcrvm i am chill. I was just putting emphasis on my words. Unfortunately no company can ever manage more than two groups well but at least they get promoted
I mean between stan twitter fans doxxing people for disagreeing with them and the huge difference in culture and the way kpop operates it does make sense for most people to think that it’s weird and be out off by it (doesn’t make it right but regardless)
@@blacklungsanji3 I know. I posted this in my unpopular opinion above, but ARMYs attacking radio show hosts for criticizing BTS' English pronounciation isn't giving us a great rep either.
That's not just a attacking people for not agreeing with you that's racist. Don't criticize someone with an accent whos first language isn't english for pronouncing words wrong
It's like, people know Kpop but treated as a niche genre just like people know anime but treated like s niche genre too but I'm pretty sure everyone get the idea who's BTS just like people know what kind of show is Pokémon
It's waaaaaay more popular than it was 11 years ago (when I first got into it), back then I could literally talk to no one about K-pop, unless you count Gangnam style. Now that I'm in highschool, I've seen so many people with Kpop merch, and I've met so many kpop fans and it got to the point where I felt smothered. Back when school was in-person, I never went a single day without hearing people talk about some Kpop group or artists. In my opinion, it is very popular over here; Just because people don't listen to it doesn't mean that they're not aware of it (Also, I hope I'm not coming off as mean)
True, not all Twice members are great vocalists and I accept that as a once. Most onces accept that. What irks me is when a lot of people act as if Twice is the only group who has majority of members that have weak vocals. Majority of kpop groups are guilty of that. Not all kpop groups are like Mamamoo in which 3/4 members are main vocalist material. Speaking of technique, I am not an expert either but most kpop groups only have one or 2 members out 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 etc members who can be considered technically decent or have known the basics. Twice has 3 which is Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Nayeon or 3mix. Michaeng, Satzu and Dahyun aren't vocally strong which is no different from sub-vocalists from any other kpop groups but they are doing a decent job as sub-vocalists. Momo is the most controversial with her vocals. She can be hit or miss, I admit, but she has a lot moments where she sounded fine, it's when she's not being forced to sing in a way to achieve a certain color or sing out of her comfortable range. Unpopular opinion: 3mix is really underrated as a vocal line.
@Pinkii Lights In kpop, a vocal line with average rating and having 3 members with a supported range is actually much better than a lot. Most kpop groups usually only have at least 1 and sometimes 2 members who can support their notes while Twice has 3. It's also common for a lot of kpop groups with either average, above-average or competent main vocal with a weak lead vocal. Some groups have main vocalists with support that is more shallow than Nayeon. Groups like Mamamoo in which majority of members (3/4) have above average vocals are rare in kpop. Twice vocal line isn't Mamamoo or Red Velvet but they are not as weak as people make them out to be. It's just that a lot of people act as if other groups are like Mamamoo when compared to Twice or as if most main vocalists are like Wendy when compared to Jihyo when it actually isn't. And I don't give a damn with the "but as a group they are weak" reasoning that a lot of people throw at them because majority of kpop groups can be considered vocally weak as a group since majority of the members of every kpop groups are not capable of supporting their notes. That's why kpop groups have a vocal line, dance line or rap line.
for me every twice member is good in vockals. Jihyo, jeongyeon and nayeon are the strongest but other members are stable and i like everyones voice and vockals in general. If momo wouldnt be forced to sing in that kinda noise vocie she would be 2x better in vockals
You can’t spell versatile without Mamamoo. Like sis they literally went from debuting wth a jazz/ r&b sound like Mr. Ambiguous to latin/pop sound like Egotistic then straight up pop/ hiphop with HIP. I don’t want to undermine RV cuz i love them, I just wanted to give Mamamoo the credit they desserve
As a classically trained violinist and percussionist, I HATE when people call certain unique symphonics, melodies and modulations, “noise”. Oh sorry, you want boring Top40, 3-5 layer music with the same chords and song pattern. Gosh the mass is the reason mainstream music is trash. I became a fan of kpop back in 2005 for the reason that they went from mimicking American boy band pop to the iconic and unique quality and sound that is now known as kpop. I’m not quite happy that it’s kind of starting to mimic American Top40 music but thankfully, out of all the k entertainment agencies, SM, has been doing well staying true to kpop. Red Velvet is also one of my favorite gg’s and I wish they stay being true to the versatility they offer. Thank you for sharing your awesome opinions :) I would’ve never guessed you were a recent kpop fan!
@@anudarie2758 Thank you! I did! I really like the fact that the members write or contribute to the composition of the songs. (Especially, "God's Menu"). Gods Menu made me giddy because of all the crazy transitions and creativity of layered samples and sound
In regards to TWICE, jyp enforces his "half air, half sound method". Sunmi left jype bc he pushed this method of singing with every song which restricted her form experimenting with her vocals and various sounds. His biggest flaw is thinking that everything is teachable no matter what. Therefore, rather than focusing on the members strengths, he forces them to sing out of their comfort zone and vocal range in order to achieve his method. Jyp and BEP (their producer) highly favours more feminine, high pitched soprano vocals, so all the members who have lower registers (like Momo, Sana, Dahyun and Tzuyu) dont get to showcase their talent or get the time to work on it. If you really want to hear what the members sound like when they actually control their voices you can watch Sixteen, Move and Good Bye cover, Dahyun singing Feel Special on piano etc. So yes, obviously jyp's technique will suit more members than others but to say they can't sing is a stretch.
I remember when somi was still in jype and when the sm vocal coach came to the unnies and she looks so genuinely intrested on learning other stuffs about vocals.... Poor other artist under him,, they cant even showcase their own voice colour
Thank you as a once I'm so sick and tired of hearing twice aren't good vocalists, or momo can't sing. If people actually did a little research they would figure out that momo has an amazing voice when she sings in a much lower register. Most other idols would sound shit too if they were forced to sing in that high range like kai from exo or lisa from blackpink just off the top of my head
to me i think TXT is the most versaitle group because every new comback i literlly don't know whats coming like we had pets in cat and dog, in can't you see me we had a dark lonely them, in puma it was a zoo, in fairy of shampoo it was magical, and more and now in the new blue hour some sort of gaming theme/ i have new clue
True, also stray kids. They have so many genres that people haven't done like gods' menu or levanter. And they write their songs which make it deeper. Also, side effect was a whole new type of music and skz was the first one to do so in kpop.
@@virginiawoolf974 bruh- wow ain’t noise. Both 3racha or dance racha. They were never critiqued for being noise but there other songs like side effects isn’t noise either. People just have no taste 🍵
i love your opinions and the fact that you had a deep explanation for each of them. especially for the first one abt (my ults) twice, ty for not being like those ppl in stan twt who have bashed twice’s vocals every time they breath
@@tiff-anypaper3375 HELLEVATOR AS NOISE!?!?! I WANNA SEE THEIR ARTIST RAP SING AND DANCE PERFECTLY WHILE POTRAYING THE SADNESS AND PAIN THROUGH EACH OF THOSE SEGMENTS
okay but dahyun isn't a rapper actually her rap is,,,, kinda cringy, her singing voice is much better and cute, she might not be able to hold such high notes but she's got a cute voice.
@@5and988 nah, there's females idols with cute concepts that rap very well and i am not into girlcrush that much. its just that, dahyun wasn't mean to be a rapper, and she's much better as a vocalist
i honestly don't think dahyun excels in either singing or rapping, her rapping is pretty emotionless and her singing seems super breathy and also quite monotone. i don't mean to sound like she doesn't bring anything into the group, that's just my opinion, and I think she still has a lot of charm and natural charisma as an idol.
i really wish momo and dahyun will switch places momo's voice fits rapping so well it'll sound so unique and distinctive and dahyun's soft voice is good enough for momo's parts in singing
About the noise songs issue. I'm not a professional producer, but from my knowledge I think the reason why people say a song is noise is because of too many instrumentals composed in one song example they add bells and trap music and a piano and bass and a guitar and too many background vocals. So they're put on top of one another which makes it so overwhelming. Or too many parts that are just different from each other like in itzy dalla dalla and red velvets rbb and zimzalabim the rap verse is so different from the prechorus as well as the chorus as well as the bridge. it's like a whole roller coaster. Or The volume of the composition of certain instrumentals in a song is just high. If you didn't know then yes the volume of a song can be edited in studio to make it high/louder for anticipated hype, example the volume is low in the verse and bridge then it's all of a sudden higher/louder in the chorus. Even if the consumer reduces the volume from their phone the volume edited in studio is still high/louder. That's why people feel like the music is loud especially international fans who are used to simple musical production songs like say so by doja cat or heartless by the weekend(small examples) As for me I'm used to the quote on quote "noise" music.😂😂 I hope this comment makes sense
Producer here! I'm pretty sure what you just said is for the general public is very accurate. But now with some technicalities, "Noise Music" is actually a thing, and I'm 100% sure K-pop songs aren't it because it is a genre from the beginning of the 20th century where they make unpleasant sounds in an organized way, per say. Also, from a technical point of view, noise in a sound or song could just be considered everything above 5kHz, but could be argued to be above that, or that all sound is noise and all that. From my producer perspective, I think what people mean is just a song being "over-produced" or clouded with too many instruments that would distract the listener from the main elements like you said. I don't know what songs people usually refer to, but we live in a simple era, the average joe likes to listen to as few things as possible, that's why using just 808's, Hi Hat's a Snare and another random sound takes songs to the charts, which is my personal opinion is kinda sad, but don't get me wrong, there are some great songs with only basic elements and sometimes it's harder to make a good song with few elements, what I'm saying is that if there's not anything complex to balance things out, then we're screwed. Sorry for the rant.
@@OrangeyTangerine no you're not ranting at all. Thank you for sharing. 😊. I don't know much about these so it's good that someone who majors in these explain and correct. Nothing wrong.
I think it's because mamamoo and red velvet have the vocal power and diversity for it. Most groups have either all the members with the same type of voice, or they just dont have the range and skills, so they are very limited in what they can do for their song to succeed. We stan powerful vocals lol.
I think it's because of their agency tbh. Mamamoo's agency is known to have a close and dynamic relationship with Mamamoo, with the members having a say in their outfits, choreo, and songs. Idk about SM and RV because I don't really stan them (sorry), but GG used to be a bit of a versatile group too ("a bit" because I also don't stan them, I just hear a lot of their songs in public, half sound the same, half are different from each other).
I do agree about Red Velvet being versatile but i also think that Dreamcatcher is versatile as well, if we look at their b-sides you have song like Jazz Bar which is obviously Jezz then we have Black or White typical DreamCatcher sound then you have In The Frozen which is EDM and you have Red Sun which is mix of few concepts, and basically even with their title tracks you dont know what to expect cause you have Good Nigh which is pure rock then you have Fly High wich has more of a fantasy concept with mix of rock and you have Boca thats more pop with rock
ChaoticDolly CLC is also such a versatile group! They’ve done retro vibe (pepe), ballads (where are you), cute (no oh oh, high heels) and badass (hobgoblin). I’ve just named some but you get the point, they deserve more recognition. Do check out their latest single “helicopter”, its really good!
It's actually amazing how Tzuyu improved her vocal. Like she was chosen by jyp just bc she was pretty and the public loved her, and now she sang sometimes important part of their song like the chorus
In my opinion, Red Velvet could be called the most conceptually versatile group and they really pull it off well. But if you look beyond their title tracks and music videos, their music basically ranges from just dominantly pop and r&b. It'd be cool to hear their vocal colours on different genres like hip hop, latin etc. I'd say other groups that are the most versatile for me when it comes to the music would be Mamamoo and Seventeen. I know as groups, they can pull of any genre and have done it exquisitely. ✌
I agree mamamoo is more versatile because it's like they switch up on concept but they still have an identity and theme to them. I feel like RV just try out different things to see what's a hit or miss. I don't see the identity in them. I feel like sometimes they are reaching for what's more popular type of thing. Especially lately. I'm not even a stan of mamamoo or 17 but they are the groups that maintain their identity while trying different concepts. They are definitely the most versatile kpop group as a whole
@@mcrvm Yeah ofcos. Their discography is one of my favourites, I've literally gone through their albums. But if you want to name songs that aren't predominantly pop, r&b and soul, please do and I'll definitely have another listen
@@mcrvm Really if you have any recommendations, I'm all for it. To me they have one of the best discographies because of how cohesive their albums are as in they stick to one genre so everything flows. It would be great hearing their vocal colours on other dominant genres. Mamamoo's last album reality in Black, there's jazz, reggae, ballad, pop, edm and whatever Destiny is lol that's why they're more versatile music wise but for a more cohesive album like RV then Blue;S is the best.
I think (G)I-DLE could be one of the most versatile groups in future, experimenting with those hip hop, pop and latin genres and even changing a songs whole vibe (Put It Straight Nighmare version vs album version) and if Cube keep giving them freedom I can see them becoming more versatile each comeback
@@heyimpotato2186 I think they have been doing more then cute concepts also with the market being over saturated with girl crush I want them to stay with where they are at and continue with whatever
4:13 I do agree...but I think Mamamoo is also one of the other K-pop Girl groups who have a lot of different concept If you compare their debut and their recent songs like Hip, Gogobebe, Egoistic etc. you can see how different their concepts can be....Just my opinion STAN MAMAMOO STAN RED VELVET STAN TALENT
For sure. People never mention Mamamoo when it comes to changing concepts. They have done it constantly. But because they stick to mature concepts people think they dont change much when they do. Look at them during Um Oh Ah yeh and You’re the best. Where they had the goofy cute beagle image. To more serious songs like Starry night and Wind flower that were sad songs. They always say we will give yall different images/sides to us and they always did. A lot of people say they never know what they’re next comeback is gonna be like. They always surprise

I think Tzuyu has had a tremendous improvement since Sixteen!! She is now at a point where she can almost be a lead vocal, but that could really happen only if Nayeon and Jeongyeon join Jihyo as main vocalists... Also, we been knew that Momo should have been a lead rapper, but in my opinion, if she trained more in this area, Tzuyu could have been a rapper too!! Each rap she had amazed me...She has a really good flow!! I'd love it if she gets rap lines in the future!

✨MY #1 FAVORITE ALBUM✨ no album could ever top that album! It’s not only my favorite album from them BUT from ANY albums in this world! Eternity album is #1 in this universe✨
Gotta disagree on the Twice opinion i think they are pretty damn good. 3mix are extreamly good vocalists and the rest are just good singers. I dont think iv seen a kpop idol thats a bad/weak singer. I was lucky to hear them live and that proved me that all the online talk is just nonesence.
1. Agreed, but they are improving so props to them for that. 2. Well, idk I'm asian, and Indian to be more specific and kpop is quite big here in India, like you can easily find 5-10 people around you that know about kpop sadly most of them are haters -_- 3. I think we haven't seen much summer concepts this year but I loved all of them maybe because I'm a sucker for summer concepts idk. 4. Agree but I believe Loona, Got7, BTS and even Shinee have quite diverse discography and switch concepts a lot. 5. Tbh I'm honestly tired of these two words "underrated" and "overrated" they are honestly so overused. 6. PERIODT. 7. Lol never thought about this but yeah agree. 8. Disagree. I personally love collabs. how is it crowded with 4 member group with 1 featured artists like its 5 people when we have groups with 12-13 members 9. AGREED. I personally don't like heavy instrumentals but "noise"? 10. Finally someone said it. Yes yes yes-
I'm an Indian too! And most people ik, know kpop here. And yeah, SHINee 's discography is so diverse!!! I feel like it's rare for me to find a gen z appreciating SHINee. And it upsets me.
i agree with a lot of this but i think that it really depends on where you live in america when it comes to kpops popularity. back when i first got into kpop, 2015, nobody knew about it. by around 2018 it got way more popular, target sells bts (obviously) blackpink, nct, monsta x, etc. albums and their are stores like newbury comics that sell albums from litterally every group imaginable. when i was in highschool i was a member of a kpop club and had an entire friendgroup of kpop fans. i really think our country is so big that it depends on where you live, but most people where i live know about kpop (i live in a city in the north east btw)
8:10 lemme just say that i absolutely agree with your opinion on this one. western artists collaborating with k-groups that already have so many members are so overwhelming. sometimes i feel like SOME artists just do it for the fame and because it's the 'in'. and members who don't speak english fluently hardly sing in those songs making them feel left out. for me personally, a great example of this is svt's joshua and dk's collab with pink sweats. the song made them shine individually and it's not overwhelming 'cause there are only 3 people singing
This is kind of late, but I do think K-pop’s American popularity is also based a lot on where in America you live. I live in a very large city, and there are a lot of K-pop fans here. Walmart and Target sell multiple different groups albums, we have a few K-pop stores, stores like Hot Topic sell a lot of different group shirts, and there is even a K-pop night at some bars. I would agree that K-pop is not super popular in American (pretty much just BTS), but I do think where you live in America makes a difference.
I like you 🥺 You actually give out real constructive criticism. Some other youtubers make these videos just to straight up hate and/or cause controversies. Also, I feel like it's become a trend to hate on Twice for their vocals. Twice make fun bubblegum pop music. They don't have to hit the highest or the lowest notes. Their music is there just to make you smile. I feel like everyone is missing the point. AND They are NINE. It's so unrealistic to expect every single member to know how to dance AND sing AND rap. Of course, in every group, there's always at least that one member that does it all. But shouldn't we put more energy into praising that member and the whole group? Instead of hating on idols for not being perfect? Because literally no one is?
"Just because you don't like a group or their music doesn't mean their overrated just because a lot of other people do." GURL THANKS! that will be my line everytime I saw tweets about my faves being overrated!!
I think BigHit debuted them in the wrong time just as SM did with NCT, who also hasn't made nearly the amount of success and money as their older-brother-groups... SM should have had debuted a +10 member girl group, to fill the void being left from SNSD... But JYP did that and now has the new nation's girl group... BigHit was going to have a girl group but yeah we all know what happened
as someone who lives in an extremely diverse area and a bigger city, I know tons of people that like kpop and literally all of my friends like it. so for me, yeah kpop is big. but i feel like if u live in the more conservative areas of america there is def not as much kpop hype. i think its rly specific like chicago prolly has tons of kpop fans as its just a really developed part of america and pretty much all of california, new york, those states have a lot more kpop hype than say, oklahoma.
1. I love Twice but I definitely agree, also JYP really doesn't seem to be doing much to help them improve as vocalists. 2. I also live in the US but I know quite a few people who do like kpop. But if you asked an average person about kpop I feel like they would only know about BTS and maybe Blackpink. I feel like kpop has more of a presence in more diverse areas but the typical American probably wouldn't know much about it. 3. I kind of agree, I usually think summer is the time where girl groups really shine but the concepts are getting kind of repetitive. For once I found myself enjoying boy group summer releases more since the concepts felt more original (SF9 and ONF especially impressed me!) 4. This is just a fact 😌 Though I'd also say CLC, Mamamoo, EXO, SF9, SHINee, and SNSD always surprise me with their concepts as well! Maybe not to the extent of Red Velvet but still enough to keep me interested lol 5. AGREE, people really say groups like Mamamoo are underrated when they're actually super popular? Just because a group isn't in the big three doesn't mean a lot of people don't still appreciate them lol 6. This is why I'm too scared to get a Twitter 😅 7. Hmmm idk... any new group is going to suddenly have to perform in front of a ton of people when they debut so I don't know if this is all that different? Sure there still might be a bit of a shock but I guess that's what their training period was for. 8. I kind of agree and kind of disagree. I feel like if an artist works well with the sound that a group has it could be really good but I am getting a bit tired of Western collabs. It would also help if the featured artist was able to do something that the group wouldn't excel at on their own (for example, f(x) had a song with Zico a while ago which I really liked since I don't consider any of them to be strong rappers) 9. I mean I kind of get what people are getting at but it feels a bit... rude? Everyone has their own tastes. 10. I don't particularly care if a member has a position or not but it's definitely obvious which members excel more in different areas in their performances. Great video! You have a nice way of explaining each of your points!
I hate how every time a once outsmarts a thrice, they always bring up the fact that twice 'aren't good vocalists'. I don't get it. They may not be the best in Kpop but Jihyo and Nayeon and Mina are actually really good, in my opinion. They also have the main positions (I think) which seems like a smart idea. The others are subs/rappers/dancers, which shows that they don't have the best singing potential in the group. But that doesn't mean they can't sing. They're learning how to control and project their voices, and choose the way in which they will use their voices. They're still pretty talented and are near the top, so I could really care less if somebody says that they're not a talented group, because they have potential.
1)AGREEED 2) I dont live in america so i dont know. 3) More and more was bad. Dumdi Dumdi was cute and thats it. Havent listened to other summer songs. Im waiting for red velvet ot5 summer comeback 4) Factss. Red velvet legends. Red velvet best group. Red velvet queens. Red velvet icons. Red velvet dont have the POTENTIAL to be versatile, they ARE versatile. 5) I feel like ppl should use under appreciated more than underrated. Regarding the overrated opinion, imo overrated means when ur talent in ur job or whatever ur job requires u to do does not match ur hype. For example ur a terrible actor and all the movies u are in are garbage yet ur the most popular, then i might consider u overrated. Imo OVERHYPED means that ur talent does match ur hype. and u deserve it BUT ur fans can hype up the smallest things, and act like everything small thing u do is perfection 6) Twitter and tiktok is straight up clownery. Ive taken a 2 week break from twitter and honestly, i genuinely think my mental health became better. Twitter also has an obsession with cancel culture 7) Agreed. 8) I dont rlly mind features, as long as the song is good 9) Why is noise used as an insult in the first place lmao 10) It so obvious who has which positions too, just give them positions lmao Loved ur opinions lmao
No 5) I agree I agree I agree! RV Queens of versatility and Discography! But there are still many k groups who are versatile too like mamamoo etc but I think RV is just on another level and it will take lots and lots of ideas and different innovative concepts to catch up with the RV Queens!
as a once, i wholeheartedly agree that some members are not good as the other in terms of singing. in the very first place, twice isn't a group that's meant to be vocal centric. jyp himself claims that his artists may not have the best quality of vocals but rest assured they have the greatest personalities. but that doesn't necessarily mean that the girls as just good people and nothing more, they all have their own talents and dreams. one may not be inclined towards singing but upholds astounding potential for dancing or playing instruments. i hate how people drag the girls for their vocals (and question their talents) when they're actually pretty good but they just choose to be ignorant and spiteful. cut them some slack, in the end of the day they're just idols. idols doesn't necessarily have to be great in every aspect - they just need to have a perfect balance of skills (dancing, singing, visual, variety etc.). idols are just meant to entertain and make people happy so if you don't like their vocals then feel free to just focus on what you prefer than continuously shift your attention to them so you can bash to your heart's content. i'm just glad that despite how their company limits the opportunities and appropriate training the girls still strives to improve, especially tzuyu and sana!
I totally agree about the no positions thing. Honestly I think some fans act like if their group doesn't have position it means they're all just so so talented, but in reality they're just the same as every other group who will have a handful of members who are tone dead and only there for their looks anyway
my opinion: I think companys need to debut a group with less members so all of them can shine and stop letting someone walking down the street debut cuz they find he/she attractive ( unless he/she is properly trained) its not always about having a beautiful face🙄...i want people to focus on ones potential than their face or body...and kpop is not about singing nowadays they are more concentrated in dance it was all cool and all BUT i think singing should be their first priority....I want artists like ailee cl mamamoo and others ( sorry i forgot their names TT) to shine more....I also want idols to stop so called fan services calling them their girlfriends and all...it will only increase the number of delusional fans....
twice doesn’t get enough recognition for their bsides, i feel like fancy you / feel special are the only albums that people talk about when we have masterpieces like signal & twicegram
i kinda agree with the twice opinoin, but the members that you mentioned are apart of the vocal line so obviously they arent going to be as well or trained as much in the singing aspect.
THANK YOU FOR CALLING OUT STAN TWT OMG also fake accounts. Am a multi. Watching BLINKs and ARMYs fight is really becoming too much. Also i agree with everything you said. Cudos to you for being so woke and respectful.
So far I think Stray Kids have pulled off the “no positions” thing the best (they just recently officially removed them), because every member sings, raps, and dances very strongly, and by getting rid of their positions we’ve gotten to see members like Seungmin get to rap in songs when originally that wasn’t his position!
@@renedollz you have over 10 years of catching up to do lol recommend you start with BoA's Eat you up, Lee hyori's U-go-girl and Wonder Girls's So Hot. For male there's Epik High's Fan, Love Love Love and Paris
the opinion about no fixed opinions is so true!! i feel like companies market groups like that just to have another reason for the group to be ‘different’. if your going to have a group like that, actually stick to it,, like have member ‘a’ sing in one comeback but then rap in the next, show the versatility of the group. groups have no fixed position yet you could probably very clearly guess the positions of each member!!
No 4) I have to agree that Red Velvet aka Billboard’s best Idol Group Alive are the most Versatile Group who are currently promoting! I mean look at Zimzalabim and how they pull off that rollar coaster concept with those 2gen yet innovative beats! Then you have bad boy a r&b then peekaboo dance pop the list goes on and their b-side tracks I mean I feel sorry for ppl who haven’t given it a chance like listen to LP a Jazzy b-side track! I can go on and on Also Twice has really improved over time and stop coming for Momo because she might break ur neck cause she the main dancer(top3) in the industry sooo Respect!
As a western 24 yo male I feel it's a little bit difficult to state in a room out loud that you like kpop. Fan diversity is not always understood. Almost nothing is ever really understood tbh. My friend says it's straight up weird that I like kpop. Makes me feel bad.
Twice are my ults and I can see where you're coming from. Like they're extremely talented but it's obvious that not all of them were trained as vocalists at first. But JYP said himself that he looks for personality over talent and that talent can be learned but personality can't
I feel like when people in america say “noise” they’re talking about the backtrack thing (I’m not sure what it’s called) cuz it’s not as common in America
But I mean. The just don't have a good Sense of humour like music itself is made out of noises, I composed a whole song by scratching paper and these people consider a backtrack as noise, WTH?
They are two types of talent, the one being in born and the other one being trained. And in twice situation I think that Sana and tzuyu are an example of a trained singer. And I think the are a decent vocalist try to watch some of their video in their concerts. They sound good. And also they are also idol out there who have the same issue with twice and some people are not pointing it out. Only on twice.
Twice is an amazing group. Im a once, I LOVE aLL of THeM. But they're not as proficient in singing as they are in dancing, They're not phenomenal singers, but they're some of the most phenomenal dancers in kpop.
You're so polite, I usually don't like unpopular opinions videos cause the lack of it, just like you said at the begining, an unpopular opinion doesn't have to be rude
This is the only unpopular opinions video that I have sat and watched throughout. I love how there is no unnecessary hate or anything. And I agree with all your opinion. I subbed rn❤️
1. I totally agree (I'm so proud of Tzuyu and Santa's improvement) 2. I live in Japan, so I can't really comment on this (bb why are you dissing Orange Caramel-) 3. I adore summer concepts, but this year's summer songs are getting boring (Red Velvet where you at? I need a summer bop) 4. Oh yeah. Red Velvet's concepts are always all over the place (this isn't a bad thing) and I love guessing what their next concept will be. 5. Finally someone said it. 6. I don't have Twitter, but I've seen screenshots etc. and I have no clue what's going on there. 7. I see where you're coming from, but I can think of two or three new groups that are killing it. I do understand what you mean tho, I fear for baby groups when fans come back. 8. When they're a smaller group (eg: Itzy, BlackPink) , I don't mind too much, but if it's a bigger group (Stray Kids, NCT, Twice, The Boyz, SVT) then the line distribution is even worse. 9. I really like the 'noise' genre, and don't like when someone describes a song as 'noise'. 10. Someone please explain the lack of positions in some groups. When I learn a new group, I get confused as hell.
Ennik Nakamura ahh I didn’t mean to diss orange caramel! I just used them as an example because a lot of people in the west imagine kpop to be weird like that bc our first popular exposure was psy’s Gangnam style
Unpopular opinion: Big groups like Twice don’t have to be all good in singing. That’s why they’re a kpop group and not a choir. Some are better at singing, others at dancing, others at rapping and others at being entertaining at tv shows or acting. That’s why they’re a group, they’re are versatile yet they can perform together and be “one”. Also that’s why everyone has a position in the group.
about the twice vocal thing: i disagree in specific about sana she has being singing some of the same parts that nayeon, jihyo,.. sing too one example is "like a fool" in their debut album of course she didn't sing her lines as great as the other members (she even cracked her voice in the showcase) but i think her voice has been great since debut she had struggles with projection (mostly due to hate) but has strong points as well (such as her tone) i just think she is a solid vocalist in twice, but it isn't showcased properly
We should not forget that twice members have there own position in the group but I totally agreed on what she say I know that sana Momo tzuyu dahyun don't have the best vocal in Kpop industry but for me there vocals are just fine and for those people saying that those four wonderful girls doesn't deserve to be an idol a little reminder again that they have roles in the group so let me educate you again lead vocals are the 2yeon and lead dancer is mimo and rap line dubucheng and visual are sana and tzuyu (even though all of them have crazy visual ) and we cannot forget God jihyo which is the leader so it's 9 or nothing baby they are the perfect balance group when it comes to roles and that's a fact hunty but the t is jyp because he's neglecting his money maker and acting like nothing, even though twice was the one who puts food in the table when he's hungry.
The most bad thing I think about kpop is the fans only stan kpop girl groups/girl artists because they are/have a "Girl crush" concept for example Redvelvet made the song "bad boy" and "ice cream cake" that's why redvelvet became famous because the song had a "girl crush" concept,it annoys me because if redvelvet didnt do the song "bad boy" redvelvet would never get the appreciation and credit they get now People would never have found redvelvet if redvelvet didnt create the son "bad boy" and Seulgi and Irene, Joy are the only appreciated members in redvelvet Seulgi is most likely appreciated cause of her dance and vocals and Irene is appreciated cause of her looks and Joy is appreciated cause of her "standing out vocals" or "height" and major amount of reveluvs ignore Wendy cause Wendy is not the "best" in looks and dance and reveluvs started hating on Yeri cause Yeri was added in the group which made redvelvet a "5 member group" I don't personally think redvelvet would be the most "versatile" group because reveluvs don't really give appreciation to members like Wendy and Yeri It's not the groups fault it's actually the fandoms fault And that's why I don't like kpop Even the groups like Blackpink are not appreciated for members like Jisoo who is not appreciated for "not being the best dancer" And rosé is not appreciated for "not being the best rapper" or "being the ugliest member in the group" Or twice Onces really ignore members like Jihyo,Dahyun,Jeongyeon,Nayeon and chaeyoung For not being the "best visuals" I find kpop really unappreciated or having the "judgemental fandom" It's not like I hate kpop Groups like exo and itzy are my favorite Exo is my favorite for having a "nice fandom" and Itzy are my favorite for having a "fair line distribution" I don't like groups like twice cause members like Momo,Sana, tzuyu and Dahyun are not really given lines to sing But I think kpop industry could be more popular if the fans were not so "judgemental" Anyways thanks for reading Have a good day
6:30 I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR A WHILE NOW BECAUSE SOME "STANS" FOR SPECIFIC GROUP IS DRAGGING ONE MEMBER AND IT'S SO ANNOYING HOW PEOPLE BELIEVE THEY'RE ACTUALLY A FAN IN FACT THEY OBVIOUSLY NOT A FAN sorry for the capital i wanna let this feelings out somewhere
i agree red velvet is literally the most versatile girl group but along with them, (g)i-dle is also reallly versatile with their concepts and talented. i would say they are so under recognized instead if underrated because people still dont know about their music and i'm pretty sure if they listen to their songs you'd love them
@@user-li1yu3sy9t if you don't like their music it's okay, but it is so sad how few are the people who knows how much CLC is versatile. If they were more popular everybody would call them "Versatility queens" and stuff
Is it bad that I’m waiting for darker concepts. Not like physical or but something like Melanie Martinez vibes. Not like obvious black outfits=dark concept but idk. I love cute concepts and all but I haven’t yet seen any thing dark. I also don’t like typical dark or rock dark. Idk even know what I’m saying anymore. I guess baddie but not so pretentious baddie.
I agree that Red Velvet is super versatile, but you should check out Mamamoo's Piano Man, Taller Than You, You're the Best, Hip, and Destiny. (Also their newest release) They have been going for more mature concepts lately, but they are also super versatile and have done many concepts 😇💙
i hate that kpop stans call twice untalented just bcs they don’t have the strongest vocals. when in reality we have 3mix, great rappers, great dancers, and great writers. but they focus on the weaker vocals and talk only abt them. take for example red velvet, all of them are great vocalists. now if we take jihyo, nayeon, jeongyeon, mina, and chaeyoung. they can be just as talented. if we were to speak abt rappers, chaeyoung, momo, and dahyun are great rappers that have written songs themselves. same with dancers, all of them are great dancers that can excel in hip hop, elegant like move, and do cute concepts. and please don’t belittle the discography, they have the best b-sides but is always pushed off.
You articulated your points well, were incredibly fair and I totally understand where you’re coming from with each point. While I respect your opinions, I only take slight issue with points 4 and 8, and here's why. 4. You’re right. But imo Red Velvet’s versatility works against them more than it works for them. Because every song is so different, plus they have red songs and velvet songs, they don’t have a signature sound that people can easily identify. Also, their wildly varied concepts appear disconnected and amateurish at times. I think that’s why people have favourite individual songs or concepts, but don’t fully stan the group, and why they haven’t reached the popularity of other major Kpop groups even though they clearly have the talent. 8. It depends how big the group is. When there are only 4 members, like with Blackpink, it’s easy to integrate one other person’s vocals in. The only reason some of their collabs haven’t worked well is because they didn’t sound like true collaborations, not because of the amount of vocalists on the track. However, for a group like, say, BTS and its 7 members, you already have 7 people vying for vocals on a 4 minute song. That’s where adding another vocalist gets crowded, messy and, frankly, pointless.
noise music is an actual term, usually describing a song with a messy chorus and/or consisting of primarily sounds and no lyrics or just a song that sounds like.. noise, no real melody or pathway for the sound to go, it's just a mess of sounds
This was the first kpop unpopular opinion video I have ever seen that was actually entertaining. Mostly, the people get insane and just act really judgmental and rude. As an exaple, they insult some idols for not being "talented" enough. But you focus on some important aspects and you were so respectful and cute. Love you~😘
Hi everyone! A lottt of people have commented on my pronunciation of dahyun, I now know how to pronounce it the right way, thanks for letting me know. And thank you for all of your support on this video!
This is so random but i love your voice...it's very calming/articulate!
its da-yun btw , the spelling is just dahyun
the way people are still commenting about it even after I pinned this comment 😔
@@reveorbit You were pretty close tbh, there is a slight push of an 'h' sound because if you read the korean spelling it's 다현. Plus you're speaking English, it doesn't really matter. I think that the public only stan red velvet when they do "Bad Boy" kind concept, which is kinda sad because we already got a lot of groups with that concept and is good to see something different.
I agree! the public likes generic songs

A lot of people think that when groups like BTS preform on award shows they’ll get tons of new fans but in reality many locals just skip it and wait for acts they know like western artists.
me who saw at least 100 kpop fans irl-👁👄👁
I have some friends irl that like Kpop!
I think it gets slowly more popular~
but I know what you mean...
Anushka Chowdhury again there are definitely kpop stans in the west but i’m talking about like the ‘locals’
it definitely is but it mainly stems from people that are already in stan culture like people like like anime, etc. it’s more difficult to see locals that like singers like drake or something even caring about kpop.
Yeah, I’m like an outcast to my friends :( the only person I can talk about it with is my best friend, which is kinda convenient :)

Um, technically all music is "noise" because you can hear it so like what are they trying to prove and like that's just such a stupid argument...

Saying a song is just “noise” makes absolutely zero sense
And not to mention that some people actually enjoy the messy sounding songs (like me), everyone has different music taste
In architecture noise is defined as unwanted sound and its specifically for sound pollution. But nevertheless people have different music taste, some ppl love loud music like rock, some ppl don't. A good thing about Kpop is that it has a variety
Then their daily are just actions.

honey, let me tell you. just because your faves are not popular, doesnt mean they are extremely talented either
Those idols working hard to succeed yet they get called "overrated"

When a Idol don't fit a Standard of beauty = Ugly

im okay if they just call themselves idols but twice have called themselves singers and are also acknowledged as singers!

Seriously though, kpop really isn’t that popular here in the USA, and its sad how people think you are weird when you like it.

In my opinion, it is very popular over here; Just because people don't listen to it doesn't mean that they're not aware of it
(Also, I hope I'm not coming off as mean)
JAYA REIS your right.
I agree with you .
@Pinkii Lights I'm so happy that someone else acknowledged how talented CSJH The Grace were. Lina is still my fav female vocalist
Also, Twice’s summer song “Dance The Night Away” is a bop.

True, also stray kids. They have so many genres that people haven't done like gods' menu or levanter. And they write their songs which make it deeper. Also, side effect was a whole new type of music and skz was the first one to do so in kpop.

okay but dahyun isn't a rapper actually her rap is,,,, kinda cringy, her singing voice is much better and cute, she might not be able to hold such high notes but she's got a cute voice.
ur probably saying that because you are used to a rapper being a girl crush? Or am i wrong? :)
@@5and988 nah, there's females idols with cute concepts that rap very well and i am not into girlcrush that much. its just that, dahyun wasn't mean to be a rapper, and she's much better as a vocalist
i honestly don't think dahyun excels in either singing or rapping, her rapping is pretty emotionless and her singing seems super breathy and also quite monotone. i don't mean to sound like she doesn't bring anything into the group, that's just my opinion, and I think she still has a lot of charm and natural charisma as an idol.
i felt like i was the only person thinking of that!
i really wish momo and dahyun will switch places momo's voice fits rapping so well it'll sound so unique and distinctive and dahyun's soft voice is good enough for momo's parts in singing
Or
too many parts that are just different from each other like in itzy dalla dalla and red velvets rbb and zimzalabim the rap verse is so different from the prechorus as well as the chorus as well as the bridge. it's like a whole roller coaster.
Or
The volume of the composition of certain instrumentals in a song is just high.
That's why people feel like the music is loud especially international fans who are used to simple musical production songs like say so by doja cat or heartless by the weekend(small examples) As for me I'm used to the quote on quote "noise" music.😂😂
I hope this comment makes sense
I think also Mamamoo are the most versatile group together with Red Velvet. Who agrees?
Yeah i agree
I think it's because mamamoo and red velvet have the vocal power and diversity for it. Most groups have either all the members with the same type of voice, or they just dont have the range and skills, so they are very limited in what they can do for their song to succeed. We stan powerful vocals lol.
yep
I think it's because of their agency tbh. Mamamoo's agency is known to have a close and dynamic relationship with Mamamoo, with the members having a say in their outfits, choreo, and songs. Idk about SM and RV because I don't really stan them (sorry), but GG used to be a bit of a versatile group too ("a bit" because I also don't stan them, I just hear a lot of their songs in public, half sound the same, half are different from each other).
Fun fact: most “blackpink” profile pictures fan pages are other fandom creating an illusion to hate on blackpink

THIS. THEY R 99.9% PROBABLY JUST RUINING BLINKS’ IMAGE.
ChaoticDolly I totally agree! I mean look at them when they were Minx too
@@reveorbit what about mamamoo?
Louder! 😍
@@rachelwynn4450 Yes i agree
Zimzalabimzimzimzalabimzim

*My opinion:* People usually overlook JYP idols because they generally have brighter image but people like darker stuffs.
I like you 🥺
You actually give out real constructive criticism.
Because literally no one is?
yessss queen
I'm glad there are people like you who know what an "unpopular opinion" means
"Just because you don't like a group or their music doesn't mean their overrated just because a lot of other people do."
GURL THANKS! that will be my line everytime I saw tweets about my faves being overrated!!
the narrator's voice is so calming bro i dont even have to focus on what she's saying, imma listen to this to fall asleep
i agree with the no positions one but txt is truly an exception to that imo
I wouldn't say TXT is underrated, but they are definitely underappreciated and over-hated :((
I think BigHit debuted them in the wrong time just as SM did with NCT, who also hasn't made nearly the amount of success and money as their older-brother-groups...
For once I found myself enjoying boy group summer releases more since the concepts felt more original (SF9 and ONF especially impressed me!)
4. This is just a fact 😌 Though I'd also say CLC, Mamamoo, EXO, SF9, SHINee, and SNSD always surprise me with their concepts as well! Maybe not to the extent of Red Velvet but still enough to keep me interested lol
5. AGREE, people really say groups like Mamamoo are underrated when they're actually super popular? Just because a group isn't in the big three doesn't mean a lot of people don't still appreciate them lol
6. This is why I'm too scared to get a Twitter 😅
7. Hmmm idk... any new group is going to suddenly have to perform in front of a ton of people when they debut so I don't know if this is all that different? Sure there still might be a bit of a shock but I guess that's what their training period was for.
8. I kind of agree and kind of disagree. I feel like if an artist works well with the sound that a group has it could be really good but I am getting a bit tired of Western collabs. It would also help if the featured artist was able to do something that the group wouldn't excel at on their own (for example, f(x) had a song with Zico a while ago which I really liked since I don't consider any of them to be strong rappers)

4) Factss.
Imo OVERHYPED means that ur talent does match ur hype. and u deserve it BUT ur fans can hype up the smallest things, and act like everything small thing u do is perfection

@@janetumukoro7126 Oh i was talking about the era in general, the song itself isnt THAT bad (except the rapping tho)

as a once, i wholeheartedly agree that some members are not good as the other in terms of singing. in the very first place, twice isn't a group that's meant to be vocal centric. jyp himself claims that his artists may not have the best quality of vocals but rest assured they have the greatest personalities. but that doesn't necessarily mean that the girls as just good people and nothing more, they all have their own talents and dreams. one may not be inclined towards singing but upholds astounding potential for dancing or playing instruments. i hate how people drag the girls for their vocals (and question their talents) when they're actually pretty good but they just choose to be ignorant and spiteful. cut them some slack, in the end of the day they're just idols. idols doesn't necessarily have to be great in every aspect - they just need to have a perfect balance of skills (dancing, singing, visual, variety etc.). idols are just meant to entertain and make people happy so if you don't like their vocals then feel free to just focus on what you prefer than continuously shift your attention to them so you can bash to your heart's content. i'm just glad that despite how their company limits the opportunities and appropriate training the girls still strives to improve, especially tzuyu and sana!

So far I think Stray Kids have pulled off the “no positions” thing the best (they just recently officially removed them), because every member sings, raps, and dances very strongly, and by getting rid of their positions we’ve gotten to see members like Seungmin get to rap in songs when originally that wasn’t his position!
My unpopular opinion:
Most of this year's releases have been pretty generic and we took 2018 for granted :')
Sadly I joined the kpop fandom this year like around April so I didn’t get to experience the golden age of Kpop which is back in 2018 :’)
At least this year is better than last year to me

the opinion about no fixed opinions is so true!! i feel like companies market groups like that just to have another reason for the group to be ‘different’. if your going to have a group like that, actually stick to it,, like have member ‘a’ sing in one comeback but then rap in the next, show the versatility of the group. groups have no fixed position yet you could probably very clearly guess the positions of each member!!
I can go on and on
Also Twice has really improved over time and stop coming for Momo because she might break ur neck cause she the main dancer(top3) in the industry sooo Respect!
I think the stigma surrounding K-pop is not just only in the West but also in different parts of Asia as well
I feel like when people in america say “noise” they’re talking about the backtrack thing (I’m not sure what it’s called) cuz it’s not as common in America
But I mean. The just don't have a good Sense of humour like music itself is made out of noises, I composed a whole song by scratching paper and these people consider a backtrack as noise, WTH?
Nili Lajuli facts tho lol
They are two types of talent, the one being in born and the other one being trained. And in twice situation I think that Sana and tzuyu are an example of a trained singer. And I think the are a decent vocalist try to watch some of their video in their concerts. They sound good. And also they are also idol out there who have the same issue with twice and some people are not pointing it out. Only on twice.
Twice is an amazing group. Im a once, I LOVE aLL of THeM.
But they're not as proficient in singing as they are in dancing, They're not phenomenal singers, but they're some of the most phenomenal dancers in kpop.
You're so polite, I usually don't like unpopular opinions videos cause the lack of it, just like you said at the begining, an unpopular opinion doesn't have to be rude
loona also giving me red velvet in the making vibes. you NEVER know what they’ll comeback as they don’t really have a “sound”.
This is the only unpopular opinions video that I have sat and watched throughout. I love how there is no unnecessary hate or anything. And I agree with all your opinion. I subbed rn❤️
1. I totally agree (I'm so proud of Tzuyu and Santa's improvement)
2. I live in Japan, so I can't really comment on this (bb why are you dissing Orange Caramel-)
3. I adore summer concepts, but this year's summer songs are getting boring (Red Velvet where you at? I need a summer bop)
@@reveorbit It's alright lol. I don't stan them, but they are iconic.
Also that’s why everyone has a position in the group.
about the twice vocal thing:
i disagree in specific about sana
she has being singing some of the same parts that nayeon, jihyo,.. sing too
one example is "like a fool" in their debut album
of course she didn't sing her lines as great as the other members (she even cracked her voice in the showcase) but i think her voice has been great since debut
she had struggles with projection (mostly due to hate) but has strong points as well (such as her tone)
i just think she is a solid vocalist in twice, but it isn't showcased properly
"Just because it is unpopular, doesnt mean that it has to be mean", girl started with a real unpopular opinion.. QUEEN
Your right.
people expect too much. Not all members needs to be perfect and strong vockalists. 3 members is enough
Agree
The most bad thing I think about kpop is the fans only stan kpop girl groups/girl artists because they are/have a "Girl crush" concept for example Redvelvet made the song "bad boy" and "ice cream cake" that's why redvelvet became famous because the song had a "girl crush" concept,it annoys me because if redvelvet didnt do the song "bad boy" redvelvet would never get the appreciation and credit they get now
People would never have found redvelvet if redvelvet didnt create the son "bad boy" and Seulgi and Irene, Joy are the only appreciated members in redvelvet Seulgi is most likely appreciated cause of her dance and vocals and Irene is appreciated cause of her looks and Joy is appreciated cause of her "standing out vocals" or "height" and major amount of reveluvs ignore Wendy cause Wendy is not the "best" in looks and dance and reveluvs started hating on Yeri cause Yeri was added in the group which made redvelvet a "5 member group" I don't personally think redvelvet would be the most "versatile" group because reveluvs don't really give appreciation to members like Wendy and Yeri
It's not the groups fault it's actually the fandoms fault
And that's why I don't like kpop
Even the groups like Blackpink are not appreciated for members like
Jisoo who is not appreciated for "not being the best dancer"
And rosé is not appreciated for "not being the best rapper" or "being the ugliest member in the group"
Or twice
Onces really ignore members like
Jihyo,Dahyun,Jeongyeon,Nayeon and chaeyoung
For not being the "best visuals"
I find kpop really unappreciated or having the "judgemental fandom"
It's not like I hate kpop
Groups like exo and itzy are my favorite
Exo is my favorite for having a "nice fandom" and Itzy are my favorite for having a "fair line distribution"
I don't like groups like twice cause members like Momo,Sana, tzuyu and Dahyun are not really given lines to sing
But I think kpop industry could be more popular if the fans were not so "judgemental"
Anyways thanks for reading
Have a good day
the only group that I've actually seen be widely known in the west is bts other groups tend to live in their shadow
Yup but idk why people hate cuz of that
6:30 I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR A WHILE NOW BECAUSE SOME "STANS" FOR SPECIFIC GROUP IS DRAGGING ONE MEMBER AND IT'S SO ANNOYING HOW PEOPLE BELIEVE THEY'RE ACTUALLY A FAN IN FACT THEY OBVIOUSLY NOT A FAN sorry for the capital i wanna let this feelings out somewhere
i agree red velvet is literally the most versatile girl group but along with them, (g)i-dle is also reallly versatile with their concepts and talented. i would say they are so under recognized instead if underrated because people still dont know about their music and i'm pretty sure if they listen to their songs you'd love them
Do you know the older sisters of (G)I-DLE, CLC? They are def so versatile, but sadly, so underrated
@@chiara9224 yes i know CLC although im not so into their music, i agree they are also very versatile
I like how you shared your opinions *respectfully*
This was the first kpop unpopular opinion video I have ever seen that was actually entertaining. Mostly, the people get insane and just act really judgmental and rude. As an exaple, they insult some idols for not being "talented" enough. But you focus on some important aspects and you were so respectful and cute. Love you~😘
Congrats you’re the first youtuber who’s done this without me wanting to push you off a cliff, thank you sm for being respectful
I agreed with everything,I loved how you seemed very smart, respectful and spoken with the argument if that makes sense lol
ikr.
