Great video. My sister just got a 2023 ecoboost Maverick today. The dealership that I ordered and got mine texted me that they got one in that the person couldn't get, so I told my sister, and she was extremely happy with it. She has a new full-size Bronco also.
They added $2500 over MSRP. It sucks but with the demand and my sister lives in a small town in Illinois. She was lucky it came in and the dealership texted me about it.
@@jasonbrenton5748 That is pretty vile of the dealership. Why didn't she order one? She probably could have ordered one for under MSRP and got it in a few weeks! They took advantage of her, and that is disgusting. But, that happens a lot and life goes on.
@joeking433 She ordered a Bronco and waited over a year for it and had the price protection. She was asking me to look out for a used truck for $20k. Any truck right now for that price are high mileage. She looked at my Maverick and liked it . The used Mavericks that are out there are way over MSRP, so when one showed up new, she got it. I work for the Chrysler dealership that is part of the Ford dealership. Multiple people were looking at that truck. They were asking $5k over. Because it was my sister, they sold it to her. I talked to her about it and she was fine with it.
I figured if she ordered one it wouldn't be until the order banks opened later this year for a 2024. The price would be higher and she would pay more than she did. Mine was $31k when I ordered it in 2021. MSRP when I got it was $33k and I priced exactly what I got on the Ford site and it was $36k. I still think she paid less than if she waited to order it. We all got lucky ordering when we did.
My Lariat Hybrid was built on the 20th of April, 2023. I had ordered it September 16th 2022. Nice little 7 month wait, and another month until delivery. I hope to get it before the end of May 2023.
The #1 reason I ordered a Maverick is for the Hybrid. I am in no rush, will wait as long as it takes. My order was on the first day in September. I get the emails every 45 days from FORD.
I was a day 2 order due to multiple issues on day 1. Hybrid on order with no update. Luckily the dealer called me 6 weeks later with a canceled order for an ecoboost AWD lariat. So I bought that one and still kept my order. I really want the hybrid but got the ecoboost to ensure a reliable vehicle until the hybrid arrives. Great car all around.
I saw one of your earlier videos and changed my hybrid order to Ecoboost on 1/4/2023 ( I was a 9/19/2022 order). I received a scheduled build date on 1/12/2023 for a 2/6/2023 build week. My order was very basic...Eco, Area 51, Full Size Spare, Sliding Rear window...nothing else.

I bought my 2022 XL hybrid because of price and milage. I have 17,500 miles on it and am very satisfied with it. 40+mpg which saves me close to $100/mo over driving my Ram. I ordered a 2023 XLT hybrid and am one of the few who are in no rush for delivery. BTW the sound of the eco boost is really cool, but the sound of the extra coins in my pocket at the pump is better. If I want to hear a cool sound I'll listen to my Ram on the odd time I drive it.
I change my order from XLT hybrid, luxury package, and blackout package to the maverick Tremor also with electric package and sunroof and sliding rear window I change my order at my dealer on 27 January and I received a letter from Ford saying my trimmer was gonna be built the first week of February needless to say, I was shocked
The Tremor is an Ecoboost, right? Ford LOVES to sell Ecoboost Mavericks instead of Hybrids! I would think you could get an Ecoboost in a couple weeks after ordering for even under MSRP! They don't have enough demand for the Ecoboosts.
I pre-ordered two hybrids XLT with trailer hitch from Hacienda Ford in Edinburg, TX in July 2022. My order code was 19 on my 1st email from Ford. Ford now sends me a "standard" letter every 45 days that says "chip shortage, inventory sorry we will send an update in 45 days". Johnny, based on this and other videos & my high order number (#19) what you are saying is its not likely I am going to get the Maverick before Sept 2023?
What about a day 2 Sept 16 because of issues with website should have been Sept 15 new order number 3 at my dealer, what are my chances my dealer says I'm safe ??
Being a Sept 16 order my dealer said any changes I go to the bottom of the list! I would change to a Tremor in a second and feel I have a leastchance of getting the XLT hybrid luxury package I ordered. What bothers me is I see many 2023 listed here in the Hartford CT area and here I am waiting with no option for a alternative purchase. Having purchased many models of Ford in the past and even a New Ford Maverick in 1972 I am really disappointed with Ford PR department or should I say customer service. What avenue would you take as I know your lovely wife has been waiting also. Best Wishes for the New Year!

So I placed my order for a Maverick Hybrid XLT Luxury package on day 3, but I got a priority code of 12? Which one is more important, the day of the order or the priority #. I am not interested in the EcoBoost, I already have one, so will not change my order. What are the odds that I get built?
Finisher - One Caveat to the hybrid helping in town, only if you drive more than 1.5miles during cold weather. Have a lot of pool matches in town at 1.25 miles and zero electric miles. That said, love my hybrid as do do many trips over, as went to Keene, NH and almost all the driving at 50 or less mph. Roughly half electric. The odometer said 46.7pmg, BUT some say the computer is 2-3 miles optimistic PLUS put 17 inch snow and ice tires and rims on my Lariat, which is calibrated for 18" wheels. Still low 40's mpg. The difference is .1" since the 60 to 65 tire height makes it very close. About 1-2 mph diff as well. Nice mustang!
I ordered a 2023 maverick xlt hybrid, in sept when the ordering banks were open. If I do get the hybrid, I was thinking not driving it in winter, if I do it would be very little. Would it be hard on the battery if not used for a period of time, and sitting in a cold garage? I live in central minnesota, and have a f150 4x4 to drive in the winter.
Slow 2 Amp charger for the battery. As for the bigger 1.1 kwh battery try and put it away after driving it downhill so it has a little more charge. Ideally try and take it out a few times a month if possible
Very. Might delay by a week or 2 or could even be produced by the 27th. 3 to 4 week delivery after production is pretty normal. Good luck and keep us updated. Thank you for trusting me with your question and sharing your intel
I can see Ford delivering an Ecoboost in a couple weeks from the order date at less than MSRP. There's just not enough demand for them compared to the Hybrid. Ford wants to make 65% of all orders Ecoboost but only 25% of orders have been placed for the Ecoboost.
Canadian orders were late going in due to to days and days of technical issues. Our banks opened after the American banks closed. Are we still considered day 1 in our market or day 4+?
Really hard to say. Most dealers didn't even know the system was working as it was at the end of our day one which was many many days later. For Canadians our dealers are the only ones to tell us where we are on their list and how many months we can expect....if they understand that they will only get a third of mlMavericks as Hybrid
I ordered my Maverick Hybrid on Sept 16. Received a confirmation email on the 18th. What do you think my chances are of receiving one before July? Or should I switch to ecoboost to get my truck quicker?
I change my order from the XLT with luxury package and blackout package to the Maverik tremor also with the luxury package and sunroof I changed it with my dealer on December 27 and received a letter from Ford on January 11 said my Maverick was gonna be built the first week of February
Ordered a XLT hybrid (they wouldn't order a Lariat hybrid for some reason). I'm just going to wait this out. Had an Escape Hybrid in 08 and it was a very good vehicle. I have a '19 Lariat F150 which I will keep and bought a little old (well rustproofed) Ranger while I wait for the Hybrid.

There is so much info on when the order banks were open in the US but trying to find the same for Canada is not. People have said it was the 15th of September like in the US but was it really or should us Canadians not be fooled by that date?
Good chance that I Will change. Ordered 9/19 22…priority 19. XLT LUX Hybrid. Sounds like it only makes sense. Still a lot better MPG than by my last truck, 2014 FX4 3.5 super crew twin turbo.
75% of the people want the hybrid for obvious reasons but it's not only a better value (worth thousands more than the ecoboost at resale) and gets better gas mileage it's also just a better truck with a great motor and a smooth transmission. There's a reason 75% of the people who ordered chose the Hybrid and sad that Ford only wants to make 35% of the orders as Hybrids for they're not making nearly as much money on the Hybrid as the Ecoboost!
Ordered hybrid last day possible Sept 22. Asked dealer about switching to hybrid...they say better odds of getting hybrid than eco based on their allocation. Hard to believe that's possible. Considering cancelling and starting over somewhere else.

US market was 9/15 I believe. What is really confusing me now, is that my dealer has changed my priority code from a 19 to a 10. My order for a xlt, lux hybrid was on 9/19! Now I really don’t know what to do??
Pre-Ordered a MY23 Maverick XLT Hybrid from my local dealer (I45N Spring) in June 2022 for the September order bank opening but they weren't able to get it entered and confirmed until 9/16. If I don't get that order then will see what Toyota comes out with in the next year before resubmitting.

my hybrid 11/21/21 was built 1/11/23 (i think). they should give people who switch cash or some option discount. the mpg in the city is not that great.
Ford is probably losing money on the Hybrid and the Ecoboost is more in line with your average car profit. The Hybrid goes for thousands more than the Ecoboost resale for the reason that Ford wants a 35/65 split ecoboost to Hybrid which makes the Hybrid in higher demand and more rare.
An Ecoboost is not evenly remotely close to a hybrid when it comes to highway MPG. That being said I love my Ecoboost! I’ve had my 22 XLT AWD, 4K tow, Luxury, CoPilot and sunroof since late July (ordered November 21) and commute 450 a week for work on the highway. I haven’t reset the trip odometer and am averaging 25.6 MPG since I took delivery. Could be a smidge higher but with the added AWD and weight that probably shaves off a mpg or two.
Math. I should have expressed myself more clearly. The Lightning weighs almost 2x as much so how you feel the power is the ratio between weight vs power. Just imagine the Maverick weighing 2x more bit having 554 lb ft torque
What do you think about a order on the morning of 9-17. I added XLT Lux package to my hybrid to help with the hitch. Will that be good or a big risk? Or should I hope they get dealer stock and rock the hybrid order until the bitter end?
At this point it’s gonna be a 24 for us. I’m not gonna change for an ecoboost.Problem is rate gonna be higher, price gonna rise again.Waiting doesn’t cost anything, higher rates, higher price, it’s right in my pocket and this is frustrating.
Your dealer should provide you with a debate for Ford having to switch your order over. If they do not provide you with that rebate call Ford customer service. For our July 30th 2021 order we are getting a huge special rebate offer from Ford to cover the price increase of the 2023. You should also be getting this as long as your dealer knows how.
It's a crap shoot, and buyers, unless you have a friend at a dealership, factually know nothing. Your chance of being built depends on three things dealers already know and do have some control over. How many confirmed orders they have in hand, what priority code you "actually" were assigned, [not always what they tell you], and what is the number of allocations awarded by Ford to them. They can assign whatever priority they want, to whomever they want. Still no guarantee, [constraints] but more likely it will be built based on who the dealer actually wants to get theirs first. Pays to be a good repeat customer or employee. Same way all businesses operate. Yes, it's fair, although irritating if you aren't in one of those categories! A dealer with 500 new orders, and only 25 allocations a month plus 50 carryover previous year orders and another 100 friends and family members who want one? How would you handle it? 😪
It is real but frustrating. No official word but since late September 2021 I have been speculating for various known reasons that the batteries are not arriving in high enough numbers. Just look at the battery recalls and stop delivery on GM batteries....and Ford is rumored to use the same battery company for there supply so....Generally the whole market is having trouble meeting battery demand.
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews It definitely has to be the batteries. I work in IT and we literally waited almost a year for replacement batteries for our laptops for agency users.

Yeah, we're actually averaging over the 42mpg on our Hybrid.
September 16 was day 2 in the US, not day 1. I ordered hybrid on the 16 and was the 80th order at my dealer so I’m not holding my breathe
The F-150 Lightning has 775 lb-ft of torque, that’s almost 3 times as much torque; I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Valid points indeed
Not reasonable to switch. Not even considering it
Hybrid or nothing. Not considering it. I'll drive a used vehicle first.
Booyah 👊 😁 👍 🇺🇲 🇲🇽🇨🇦
Thank you the305hauler
I ordered on day one a hybrid XLT. I received my confirmation email from Ford on September 17th. Hopefully I see the car by summer.
Sorry, my order was 11/3/2021. Ford flipped to a new order.
It's actually terrible in the ❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️
It's a crap shoot, and buyers, unless you have a friend at a dealership, factually know nothing.
😪
Almost two years and they still on this crap of not being able to deliver hybrid mavericks? whats the excuses now?
It is real but frustrating. No official word but since late September 2021 I have been speculating for various known reasons that the batteries are not arriving in high enough numbers. Just look at the battery recalls and stop delivery on GM batteries....and Ford is rumored to use the same battery company for there supply so....Generally the whole market is having trouble meeting battery demand.
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews It definitely has to be the batteries. I work in IT and we literally waited almost a year for replacement batteries for our laptops for agency users.
finisher
I should mention I've waited 13 months so far. Apparently 2 left to go
ThT makes sense. Thank you Rocko for the share
When does Ford have good news? LMFAO
🤣
well... crap. I ordered a hybrid on the last day. I guess that's a death sentence.
Most likely unless conditions change.
Unfortunately.
Also dumped the lux
You keep playing this game over and over and over with basically the same ..order the EcoBoost video.
