    I appreciate your video as I also purchased a black with the black appearance package without ever seeing a Maverick close up so I was so curious to have a better idea of it’s looks. Exactly as your situation I also bought one that someone else had ordered but walked away and I found out today that it is on a ramp in Texas so I should see it soon! Anyway, thank you for showing yours! Looks great!

    My tremor came in today. Haven’t seen it yet. I got the avalanche color, but did you ever get a firm gas mileage estimate?

    • @hc7073
      @hc7073 ปีที่แล้ว

      Short trips you’re going to average 20 to 21 1/2 on the highway, 25 to 28 I live in Georgia a lot of hills so you’re up and down a lot if you live in a state like Florida or Texas. You could do much better.

    Seeing as I just got my hybrid a month ago with the black appearance, I choose hybrid. My reliable 99 V6 Ranger was torture with ~16mpg. Granted I mostly drive in city hence the bad ranger mileage but the hybrid is knocking it out of the park getting over twice the mileage range with a smaller gas tank!

    • @revnation_auto
      @revnation_auto  ปีที่แล้ว

      My 2004 ranger actually gets 25 mpg combined and if I had the regular tires on it I could get 30 mpg on the highway. I also have the 2.3 L four-cylinder with a five speed manual transmission.

    Thanks for adjusting your mic. I have watched 3 of your videos and your voice has been so low but when you adjusted your mic that was perfect. I’m going to say I would take the XL Hybrid because I have had a CL Hybrid on order since October 31 2021 lol. My dealer said 2 weeks ago that mine has been built and should be her by the end of February. Looking forward to some future comparisons of these 2

      Ford either needs to offer the rear locker as a option for standard models or needs to add 4k tow for the tremor. This combo is perfect for the toy hauler for side by sides and atvs but the 2k tow of the tremor is not enough and a standard fx4 is fine 99% of the time but sometimes you might be parked on wet soft ground in field parking lots or loose gravel entrance roads wishing you had that rear locker to move things around.

    My 2023 Lariat Tremor is in production. I bought mom a 2023 Lariat FX4 thats in transit to the dealer. Crazy thing is somehow Ford has been sending me updates on 3 VIN numbers. I only ordered 2, the 3rd one, another Lariat Tremor is supposed to go into production the end of next month. Dont think Im buying the 3rd one.

    An excellent comparison & contrast of these two versions of the 2023 Maverick. I went with the hybrid when I put my order in last September (2022). However, Ford is "constrained" on the number of hybrids they can build, roughly only HALF of all 2023 model year hybrid orders will be fulfilled (based on internal Ford memos, that were published by an online Maverick truck club website plus it's been reported in media there will be no carry over of unfilled hybrid orders into the 2024 model year. Additionally, I have a home in rural northern Nevada which means I do very little city driving, the city mpg's of both Maverick versions are mostly irrelevant for me (the hybrid's mpg's are outstanding, the eco-boost not so much). This long winter has been brutal with deep snow and I drive on many rural unpaved/un-plowed roads. I was repeatedly reminded that 4WD/AWD matters a LOT to me. I have 4WD's on my aging F150 & F250, these trucks are important for my heavy work loads/towing. Using these expensive to replace big trucks for routine light duty trips doesn't make good use of my dollars or much sense. On January 3rd, 2023 I changed my mind on the hybrid and switched my Maverick Ford order to the Tremor. I need an AWD Maverick far more than a hybrid's extra mpg's. The Tremor Maverick will reduce the miles I'm putting on the big EXPENSIVE heavy duty trucks, extending their lives...which saves me lotsa money (just price a new replacement F150/F250)....they cost a lot more than a hybrid Maverick's extra mpg's. NINE days after I made the switch Ford HQ sent me an email that they would build my Tremor. A week after that I got a Ford HQ email that my Tremor will be built the week of March 1st. I have a friend who also ordered a hybrid Maverick at the same time I made my original hybrid Maverick order....he's only receiving the 45 day courtesy "order email updates" from Ford HQ saying they have his hybrid order with no anticipated build date. Soooo... unfortunately for half of the folks who have ordered the hybrid it will only be a mirage in their driveway....there will be no rollovers to 2024 model year Maverick orders...and the 2024 Maverick's likely will cost more (inflation). An alternative is to buy a hybrid Maverick from a Ford dealership's inventory, out of curiosity I visited a Ford dealer and they only had ONE Maverick(an XLT ecoboost) and it had a $7500 mark up. The sales rep said the $7500 markup is on ALL of the Maverick inventory they sell (not Ford direct orders) and the markup is typical of most Ford dealerships...I have not confirmed that price markup with other dealerships.

      @@revnation_auto Atlas Blue Metallic....needless to say my eyes were glued to your Tremor. I also agree about the Tremor decals. I saw somewhere either a TH-cam video or on a page of the Maverick Truck Club's website that the decals can be removed with a heat gun BUT I didn't watch the video or read the post, I was time constrained. I wonder if using that strategy would damage the paint in the long term. I can't recommend using a heat gun without definitive research that it would work WITHOUT damaging the paint. Keep up making the excellent videos!

    Thanks for posting your comparison. I like them each for different reasons. Question? You mentioned the seats in the Tremor are "far better", but only said the orange stitching and Tremor logo were why. Is there really any other difference like in size, padding, material, comfort, etc than the Hybrid's? I look forward to your analysis. Thanks.
