I actually already have a 2023 AWD Ecoboost Maverick bought it January 21st
Thank you for the intel Freddy. How did your ordering experience unfold and how do you lime your 2.0l ecoboost?
Is there a difference between a 'Buyers Order Sheet' vs a 'Sales Contract'?
Yes one gaurenteed what is on the order and the other if they sign it gaurentees price for that model year
Ordered the Ecoboost Lariat on the 22nd of Sept and just took delivery on Feb 3. I had the spray in bed liner as the only additional accessory and was not able to get it.
It took me 9 months to get my 2022 hunter had it pin striped using the accent orange and it is. Beautiful no problems
Thank you for the intel Ken. Was hunter auto corrected and it was supposed to be Lariat?
Order XLT Hybrid in October 2021. Had to be transitioned to 2023 order. It’s at the dealer and I’m picking it up tomorrow. Got the Private offer but Ford is not honoring it. I have to pay the full 2023 price and fight to get my rebate after. Good news turned bad real fast.
I ordered my Hybrid through my dealer Last June 11th, 2022. Obviously my order didn't go into Ford until September, when they opened for orders, but I was still hoping that mine would go in quickly once it did open. When I received my confirmation email it said, "Your vehicle order is one of the early orders for 2023 Maverick LARIAT". Do you know if that is what everyone's confirmation said? Or if that was reserved for the first batch of orders? If I'm not going to be getting a hybrid, I might consider switching to the ecoboost.
In canada we did not get any emails. If your order was put in day one I do suspect you will get a hybrid and we'll get a bill date once your dealer has all their converted. Orders schedule. Those would be the orders that were ordered before november fifteenth twenty twenty two
Ordered mine when banks opened in September. Just got email today saying build is scheduled for March 27!
AWD ecoboost
XLT with lux, 4k tow, fx4, copilot 360, alto blue
Thanks Johnny, I got my email today- build week March 13th...can't wait.
When did you place your original order? I’m still waiting for my build date.. I ordered my Lux hybrid package 10/2021 and they converted my order into a 2023. I hope to be receiving that email soon. 👍
Fantastic news. Jeff Whitehead I'm glad you got a build date. Our order was actually done being built before the day it was supposed to begin and then from build date to arrival it will be 3 or 4 weeks. Keep us posted
Ours was July 30th 21 for a Hybrid XLT Lux and nothing else. Being that we had a build date the system would not allow any modifications
I ordered my EB Lariat Lux the date the orders banks opened for the '23 model year- 09/16/22 (would have been 09/15, but the system crashed from the sheer weight of all the orders). Here's hoping for all of us to get what we ordered with minimal delay.
Always enjoy the videos. My '23 hybrid XL was ordered September 15th, delivered December 31st. Not a rollover.
Eric you are one of the lucky ones. That is great news. Congrats and thank you for sharing with the community
NO! this is where Ford is BS! and if someone like Toyota gets their shit together I will put my Oct '21 Order in the rear view.
@slingbart705 Sorry my guy, I simply ordered avoiding every constraint and got one.
I ordered a hybrid XLT on day four of 2022 ordering. I didn't think my chances of getting a hybrid in 2023 was very good. On 1/4/2023 I changed my order to Ecoboost. On 1/12/2023 I received a 2/6/2023 build date. Area 51, Ecoboost, XLT with only full size spare and sliding a rear window options.
First ordered 6/26/21. Reordered 9/16/22, first build date 2/3, second 2/13, third 2/20/23. After 19+ months still expecting I won’t be disappointed. But skeptical as to when I’ll see my Maverick order. Thanks, enjoy your videos.
49parkerrd thank you for the information for the community to digest and your support is appreciated.
I thought I had it bad ordering in October 21’ that’s wild. Here’s to both of us eventually getting a Maverick!
@@trevorbraun2574 590 days so far, but who’s counting.
I had a 2022 Maverick kept it for 8000 miles and decided to sell it to Caravana. The very next day I called my Dealer and told him to put me on the list whenever the 2023 order banks opened to get me another one. He ordered it on the 16th the very first day the order banks opened and Thank God he was able to put it in. Now I'm just waiting for him or Ford to let me know my Maverick is ready to be built!!! So I can go pick it up. I loved it. It actually gave me 50 mpg in the city. I felt like I was driving a golf cart with a bed in the back.
Carlos thank you for all the intel. Keep us updated
Sure will Johnny enjoy watching your updates. Keep up the good work!!!
I wouldn't trade my hybrid for anything. I have 9300 miles on it and I have had it for 3 months
I have a 2020 AWD Escape coming off lease this month with a buy price of under $19K. I have a Hybrid Maverick XL trim on order and I am in the unbounded time sink of sadness and despair. I will go ahead and extend the lease month to month, keep the Maverick order alive and just wait it out. However, very likely it is looking like I will just buy the Escape in the end. If I am not getting the hybrid, then I want AWD and the price differential will be $7K or more with no build date in site.
You can extend the lease for up to 12 months and your buy back will lower with each additional payment. This will result in lower interest payments then if you buy it put so please consider this to save hundreds of dollars.
I'd buy the escape the mavrick may never come.
@@Johnnyscarcarereviews Awesome advice Johnny! Thanks. Seems like there is no negative to just keeping the lease alive until the Maverick arrives. Then I can just but either vehicle.
@@allotherstaken3 AWD Escapes are under appreciated. That vehicle has been everywhere from Ann Arbor, MI to Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas, CA. It is allowed on dirt roads that regular cars are not. I am not taking that thing rock climbing. And I have grown an emotional attachment to that vehicle. You may be right.
Finisher!
Thanks Johnny, Great job of highlighting the Ecoboost FX4!
I'm glad you mentioned the excellent value that comes with the $800 FX4 package! Those wheels are awesome! Not to mention the hitch, etc.
My pleasure!
I decided to buy a GMC Canyon SLT with under 18,000 miles which is a totally loaded machine not missing items like the Maverick. Where is the rear window defroster on the Maverick? GMC has a really good BOSE stereo system!
Hi Johnny, I put an order in for a 2022 Maverick Hybrid on 10/2022. I already got the vin# but the build date has been moved back 4 times, last email was for 12/19/22 build date. Now I don’t get any more updates from Ford. Am I just waiting for nothing, or is there still a chance? Thanks
Call your dealer and make sure you have a priority code at least 10 but you should be a 2. Your dealer had a little work on their end to co firm with Ford that you are aware it will be a 2023 and thst you accept the 2023 build.
I called Ford customer care and they said my order has been changed to a 2023 and they gave a certificate # for $2,500 for the dealership to make up for the price increase for the 2023. This call was over a month ago and still no schedule for build even though it’s for a 2023 Maverick hybrid.
Finisher. 15 days until my build date.
Johnny is it true Ford is cancelling all bronco allocations / orders at the end of February if they are not scheduled?
We knew this was coming and were just waiting for an official date. When I get the exact date I will cover it...but it is coming.
I have a hybrid XLT on order I contacted the dealership I ordered it through and asked if I could switch to an eco boost. Salesman said no it would bog the process down and take even longer to get..? I haven’t gotten a build date yet, only order confirmation email.
Ford WANTS you to switch to an ecoboost. They can only produce half of their hybrid orders. Switching to an ecoboost would probably guarantee you a 2023. Not sure why your dealer would tell you that.
FYI, I ordered a Lariat Hybrid Lux, Atlas Blue, added CP360 and Assist on 9/20/23 got a confirmation email from Ford that night. Recently heard the Hybrids were oversold and some may not be built. Contacted my dealer on 1/5 and asked to switch to the ECO Boost (had to add AWD so it increased cost by ~$2200), added SIBL with D-Link Bed Connections pkg. They said no problem and put it through (along with Pri 10). On 1/12 i rec'd a build email with VIN# for the week of 6 Feb! I do drive a lot of city (proportional to highway) and wanted the Hybrid. However, my annual mileage is only about 4-5K miles total, so I was okay switching and taking the MPG hit. I'd ask again if you want to switch. Good luck!
Thank you that is great info!
I have the 23 atlas blue EB.lux pkg..copilot scheduled build feb 20 in the meantime bought a cyber orange hybrid xlt with lux is nice dont know what I will do in a few months may trade in May keep.99% is city driving so dk only 600 miles put on it in 3 mths
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE XL AND XLT
I couldn't wait I needed a second vehicle due to my job and I could have waited if I was told you will get scheduled for build in February or March but not knowing wasn't working out at my job so I looked at numbers knew I could afford a slightly inflated hybrid and bought one used and I absolutely love it i think it's worth every penny sure having it cheaper would have been nice but I just couldn't wait a year or more I also canceled my order so hopefully some else will get built who can wait or has been waiting since 21
I have the same model and colour. It’s my second one, both were lariats but the orange one has more luxury features. I have zero complaints, it’s a great vehicle and all the truck I need.
Thanks for the update and your opinion. I have an XLT hybrid lux on order. I think I plan on waiting for that at this point. I did the reorder on 9/26/22 I original ordered back 11/14/21
Allan thank you and as a conversion I'm positive you will be built.
Finisher
Thank you Zachary.
I just received both VINs for the Mavericks I ordered. Production week of 2/6 For the Lariat FX4 and week of 2/27 for the Lariat Tremor. How long is it for delivery is my question ?
Hey Johnny - if you are a dealer this vehicle you are showing isn't yours - it is a customer order - you have zero allotment - while your dealership can order one in September '23 you won't have one on the dealer floor to entice customers until at least January '24. That is where I come in - I have one that is confirmed in route and will let you do a dealer to dealer deal with my approval- you just need to pay me $50K and I will let it go
So I have a day 1 order from the morning, I think the 4th hybrid order for my dealer. I have a priority code 19 though, should I be worried about getting built or will code 19's placed early day 1 still likely get built?
Awesome looking Maverick, looks like the same configuration as the one I have coming. Exceptions being mine being velocity Blue and the drop in plastic bed-liner. It has arrived at my dealership and I'll be picking it up near the end of the week, the 19th or 20th.
When did you order it. I ordered an XLT Hybrid the first day the portal was opened on September 16th
@@brucelemken3249 I didn't order it, I just got really lucky and put down a deposit on a dealer stock order before anyone else.
I secured it in mid to late June of 2022.
Idk if I'd give it a design award for the interior
@johny, so I order mines on sept. 16 USA and it’s 2023 hybrid XLT alto blue, lux, n 360 copilot. But my dealer gave me priority 10. And said they only had mines and someone else for hybrid so 2 of us. Will I get built maybe?
Nice video Johny.
I never noticed the yellow door coloring coming through the inside of the cab before.
You get your Maverick yet?
I really like your channel and most of the time I agree with you, but, I have to disagree with you on a couple points Johnny. I have had my 22MY Hybrid for almost a year now and have almost 18,000 trouble free miles on it. I think the Hybrid engine is much quieter than the EcoBoost engine. I would also disagree with you about changing to an EcoBoost if you are driving mainly highway, I have been getting between 37-39 MPG during the summer, winter it has gone down to about 32 MPG and I drive mostly highway 60-65 MPH, that is still better than an EcoBoost gets on the highway. I also tow a 1500lb tent trailer with my Hybrid and get 28-30mpg, which again is better than an EcoBoost gets when towing. I would say to switch if you are a later order for a 23MY or really need AWD or need to tow more than 2,000lbs. On another note I love the Orange Accents on the XLT, but Orange is my favorite color, that is why I went with the XLT and not the XL or Lariat.
Good points. Yes I agree if someone is a later order and wants à Maverick Asap then it's worth co sidérant otherwise no hold the order. As for ecoboost highway driving comes in at 28 to 32mpg so yes the hybrid is still better but at least the difference isn't huge. Thank you for the comment and for the support and information.
The AWD will knock off a couple MPG, and the 4K toeing package with it's higher axle ratio will knock of a couple more. But for sure, most people won't see a Hybrid this year. Ford can't come close to building all the orders. My Hybrid is being built as I write this, it's a 2022 order rolled over to 2023 and there are plenty more with priority over 2023 orders. So I see his point that if someone was dying for a little truck, eco-boost is the best bet to actually have one built.
I am not interested in all that woke Electric Gas crap . When can I walk into a show room and buy a gas powered only maverick ? And why don’t they make them in a diesel? I see they have the best engines ever according to the Australians were it comes in diesel if you like . So Ford let me no when I can go to a Ford dealer look at 15 to 25 of them all with a gas only engine pick the one I want write you out a check and drive it away. In less then a couple hours.
I juat wanna go fast because if I ain't first I'm last....short summary of why I like the F150 Lightning. Also handling and ride comfort. From an environmental standpoint well if the goal was to make a difference then we would poor water into our trucks and with electrolysis we would run hydrogen and spew out 0xygen. With a battery that recharges from compression created when deaccelerating. Basically an internal combustion engine that runs on hydrogen created from an electric motor that splits water into oxygen and hydrogen. Tons of power and free to run.
It has nothing to do with being woke. The Hybrid is for people that want the best gas milage. And if you actually watched the video, you would have heard him say the gas engine models will be on dealers' lots this summer. And You can forget about a diesel in a small pickup here in North America.
Johnny, would adding the spray-in bed liner and cargo management system bundle cause any delays in my build? I have a 23’ maverick ecoboost. AWD, FX4, copilot 360 and 4K tow
Antonio with an Ecoboost order I wouldn't worry and for the moment those are bot constrained on the Maverick. The F15p and Superduty are different stories all together
I've looked at one and have seen a video on TH-cam after a mileage review, looks cheap and the video more than proved it with how the under side looked, not worth the money over the the long run.
That interior looks horrible. Not because of the plastic, its just laid out weirdly and whats with the screws? Why didnt they just give it the same interior their real trucks have? I know this thing isnt an actual truck but the point is its meant to be an alternative to a truck.
Thank you for sharing your opinion.
