    The daughter is learning that the most important THING in a woman's life is a MAN.
    Lose custody of your older child to their father, go through CPS services, get a new apartment- then move your abuser in! Next, protect him at the expense of your daughter having to go live with extended family.
    SMH.

    She made it 7 fxcking days after FBS before she whipped her son. Now she lost her son, and OF COURSE CPS is worried about leaving the daughter. Why is the Judge doing the lawyers job? If he is unable to ask an articulate question that is his problem

    I will never understand why it is alright with some people to give corporal punishment to a child but you cannot do the same thing to any other person. I.e. Domestic Violence classes. If you cannot do it to another partner or person why should the most vulnerable among us. That lawyer Taylor is horrible.

    Why isn’t anyone on zoom commenting on the fact that they are clearly in the same home? I would think that the judge would take issue with the parents sitting in the same room, living in the same home, after two separate fbs SA/DV cases… I’m only part way through, so I might have my questioned answered at some point. Also, mr Taylor is incredibly rude, and seriously needs to take steps to re learn how to ask specific, concise questions. He rambles, continuously utilizes cross as a time to make statements, and he clearly displays his disdain for many of these workers. Mom can’t file multiple severe SA/Assaults from her partner, then expect the department to feel comfortable leaving two small children in the home. It’s him, or the kids. There really is no other safe path forward.

    • @OnTropolis
      @OnTropolis  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      They knew. Before calling the case there was feedback because they were next to each other. They had to mute one of them because of it. I can't believe they didn't get into the fact that they're literally violating the no contact order. I understand they were asking to lift it, but you'd think they'd pretend to wait until it's been lifted lol

    • @makenziecely
      @makenziecely 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I didn’t have much background information on the case, so I appreciate you replying with the extra details. It’s kind of sad that they are only really concerned about the spanking (the belt spanking is completely ridiculous-I could understand if she thought over the clothing swatting was okay, but no parent should need to be told not to hit their kid with a belt), but seem to find the sexual assault and violence as issues that are fixable with a few classes. The kids were present, I really don’t think there is any way to come back from that traumatic situation. It’s incredibly unfortunate that she chose to continue a relationship with an abuser, over doing everything possible to keep her children in her care. The casa worker Goehman couldn’t have been more blunt and honest in her assessment of the dangers in sending the children back into the present home environment.

      @@Baird3711you think it was an overstep to remove children who were physically present while their father graped and beat their mom? While she also was physically assaulting her son and leaving injuries? She did 7 months of parenting classes and monitored parenting and less than a week after those classes ended she was right back under investigation for DV in the home again. Corporal punishment is so archaic, it doesn't teach a child anything exept violence. If an adult beats up/spank another adult it's an assault and it attracts criminal charges. Why is it ok to assault the most vulnerable, i.e., children with impunity. And, who da F leaves a child in a corner all afternoon. This mother is not fit to have children in her care. This makes me so angry. To help children manage their emotions and behave in developmentally appropriate manner you form deep connections and secure relationships with your child, you adapt the environment etc.

    I would not leave Jasmin in charge of a any child... Leaving marks and bruises on a four year old is unacceptable, After going through services, she clearly knew not to spank... Jasmin is full of rage and should not be trusted with those that can not defend their selves...

      @bethhayes8427 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The bible tells you not to use your hand. So what do you think they should use. My now older grown children got spanked with a belt and turned in to great responsible adults with good jobs and well mannered kids that are now pretty much grown. All this wimpy and nonexisting discipline is why todays world is in such a mess. Our schools are a joke and full of bullies because of no parental discipline.

    I also notice the case worker Wendy laughed at the mother joke when she said they could move in the extra bedroom, that didn’t sit well with me. I feel like this is a circus and the only acts are the parents and their lawyer!!!

    57:34 Ms. Erickson needs to stop rejoicing in this case because nothing good is happening here especially for those children. She keeps making faces when the mother is answering questions and she is definitely enjoying it too much, she needs to work on her poker face for sure.

  • @jacksyoutubechannel4045

    @ 0:40:25 -- It's a fair position to have, that corporal punishment shouldn't be permitted, but it's not a good argument that it would be a crime if done to an adult. "Grounding" an adult would be kidnapping/false imprisonment (depending on your jurisdiction), taking their phone away would be theft, and making them do chores as punishment without due process would be slavery. Parents regularly restrict freedoms of speech, assembly, movement, and religion. And we expect them to. Ninety-five percent of parenting would be a crime if done to an adult, just as 95% of the obligations we impose on parents of children would be illegal to impose between two adults.

    • @OnTropolis
      @OnTropolis  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, grounding is removing a privilege for recreation. Children don't own their phones or devices provided by parents. Chores are a contribution to your environment which adults are expected to do. Hitting a child to prove a point is criminal as it is to hit an adult. Children have no rights as human beings they're treated as property. Just like we'd never force a DV victim to go back and live with their abuser because they "did services" and got better... It's disgusting what children have to do in the name of a parent's Rights
