    Thanks for the video - the fan didn’t come with installation instructions. Not that they’re always needed, but it’s nice to have something to refer to

    I am attempting to place this fan on a slanted ceiling that is fairly high. My old fan had a pin at the top and the outlet plate had the opening so you could mount in with the pin to the ceiling instead of using a mounting bracket like in the new kit. Do I still just attach it in that manner and use the mounting bracket just so I can fit the remote at the top. I bought a new down rod extension but if I use the mounting bracket that comes with the kit - my rod is at an angle if I do it that way. Thank you so much for the great video.

      The fan is required to be installed with the mounting bracket included with the fan. The fan can be installed on an angled ceiling with a maximum angle of 20 degrees if installed with the receiver. If you ceiling angle is greater than 20 degrees, you will need a 45 degree canopy kit so that the downrod is not angled when installed.

    Hi! I'm trying to make a decision between this fan or the Hunter Aerodyne, but I'm not sure what's best. The Hunter fan is cheaper and I like the style bit better, but I'm worried that I might not tolerate the humming that it's produce by its AC motor. Do you think the HB Zandra would be much better than the Hunter? What do you recommend?

      @ceilingfans101  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In our experience, the Hampton Bay fans are much easier to install than Hunter products. According to listed specifications, the Zandra fan is going to move more air. The Zandra also offers color temperature control for the light to let you choose different color temperatures ranging from warm white to daylight deluxe.

    Thanks for posting! This video was helpful. I just installed this fan but I noriced that the downrod is not completely perpendicular to the motor. So my downrod can be straight but then the motor is crooked, or the motor can be straight but then the downrod is crooked. It appears to be worse when the set screw is fully tightened. Is this normal or did i mess up screwing in the downrod to the motor unit?

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      The downrod should be straight from the motor collar. Please make sure that the downrod is screwed in completely to the motor collar. Tightening the set screw should not alter the angle of the downrod.

    On the top of the down rod there is a pin that makes my wires twist up. How do I get that pin out or stop it from twitch when i tighten it

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can remove the screw from the ball and that will allow you to turn the downrod without twisting the wires. You can also try to hold the wires straight up while screwing the downrod into the coupler.

    Should the antenna stay hidden or be exposed? My remote isn't working consistently.

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  ปีที่แล้ว

      The antenna for this receiver is not required to be outside of the canopy. We would suggest changing the frequency of the remote. Follow the instructions at the 17:49 mark and that will change the frequency of the remote to improve the remote signal. The may be an interfering signal in the area causing the weak reception. Changing the frequency should resolve the issue.

    When the fan is at 5th speed the hanging pole is oscillating, how can stop this issue(It even creaks)

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Make sure that the slot of the ball is seated properly in the mounting bracket and that the set screw is completely tightened on the motor collar. The downrod should not move when the fan is operating. If that doesn't resolve your issue, we would suggest calling Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-434-2678).

    Hi, I recently installed a ceiling fan with a light that came with a remote. Everything went well, however the fan and the light only works with the remote and the wall switch is completely un operational . Would you know what could be the issue ?

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Typically, if there is a switch present, there would be 2 power wires in the ceiling - one would be a constant power wire (typically a black wire) and the other would be a switch wire (typically a red wire). Sounds like the receiver was just wired to the house's black wire.

    Will this work on a cathedral ceiling at a 10° angle?

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, the fan can be installed on an angled ceiling with a maximum angle of 20 degrees. Please note that you may need an extension downrod to ensure proper blade clearance from the ceiling.

    How to install when i have black, red and white cable?

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We would suggest just capping the red wire with an electric nut and electrical tape and then wiring as instructed in the video. If the red wire is a switch wire, you could cap off the house black and use the house red instead. That would allow you to use the switch to turn the fan and light on/off simultaneously.

    • @ceilingfans101
      @ceilingfans101  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like your fan is receiving an interfering signal from another device in the area. This can be easily resolved by changing the frequency of the remote. Watch the video at the 17:48 mark for instruction on how to pair the remote.
