The name “Death-Roll” for that inversion makes a lot of sense because Iron Gwazi is themed to alligators which latch onto their prey with their powerful jaws and roll to try and tear them apart which is known as the “Death-Roll”.

I LOVE the Schwarzkopf inverted loops. Yes, inverted loops are common but the ones on Schwarzkopf loopers (especially the more aggressive ones and the back to back loops) feel so cool. The positive forces just seem unnatural, especially while you're inverted.
My first inversion was the loop on Revolution and as a kid it really blew me away that going upside would feel like that. I didn't know at that time that that bizarre sensation was specific to that loop type. My favorite is the back to back sequence on Shockwave.

I wouldn't say they're the craziest inversions but two favorites that come to mind are the zero g roll out of the lift hill of Incredible Hulk and the dueling loops on Dueling Dragons. Being on the front row of Dueling Dragons when the other train is coming right at you before you pull up into the loop at the last second might be my favorite coaster element of all time and I hope someday we get another coaster that replicates it.

My favorites in no particular order are: The Mosasaurus Roll, Flying Snake Dive, Banana Roll on Steel Curtain, Pretzel knot on Banshee, Batwing on Montu and Afterburn, Cobra Roll on Kumba, the sequence of the first two inversions on Twisted Cyclone, barrel roll drop on Twsited Timbers, inline twist on Banshee, and the arcade roll/Raven Truss dive on Arie Force one. I love a lot of different categories of inversions, but those are my personal favorites. Still yet to experience the death roll, but hopefully that’ll change this year or next year.

The only inversion that got me to almost soil myself was the Drachen Fire dive drop on Steel Curtain at Kennywood. It’s terrifying all the way from the parking lot. I honestly think the inversion on Steel Vengeance that feels like your going to go to the right as you rise up but then suddenly twists you down and to the left. That’s a freaky sensation. I also really like flight decks corkscrew at CGA. It starts to rotate then has the briefest stall before really whipping you around. It almost feels like arrow dynamics put a weird transition in the middle of a B&M. Speaking of weird, Tennessee Tornadoes first loop is all over the place with transitions. All of my other favorites are obvious ones already discussed. I just thought these three might be underrated.

There is a few cool elements on monster at adventureland in iowa. The stall being awesome and the tightened corkscrew at the end.

_Superb video!_ I'm a wood coaster guy, but I love some inversions. Y'all have good taste! _Schwartzkopf loops!_ Shock Wave's 2 loops are my favorite! The positive Gs are crushing, the loops _fast_ & fun. I _love_ having only that skinny lap bar, the loud, unique sound of those 45-year-old loops, the gray cloud creeping into my eyes, these loops are _the best!_ The first drop of Storm Chaser is bizarre & fun! I call it a "corkscrew drop." It's a perfect, zero G inversion & drop. A unique beginning of a _very powerful_ coaster! Another favorite is the ending of Outlaw Run. _Wow!_ A wicked, fast double Zero G Roll climbing out of that deep, dark wooded ravine, floating effortlessly, hauling ass, then banking perfectly into the brakes. Magnificent! It's also a dadgum _wood coaster_ for this wood coaster guy!

I think the inline twist on X-Flight is noteworthy because of the back-to-back near miss elements. There's really no other wing coaster in America that has that kind of offset (vertical, then horizontal) head and leg chopper effect.

My first WTF moment on a coaster inversion was my first time riding on Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFOG. That pretzel loop was like nothing before it and such an inversion on any other type of coaster would have some forces that humans are not well adapted to.

Iron Gwazi's death roll is way better than the Mosasaurus roll if you get it when it's warmed up. The Mosasaurus roll is crazy, sure, but man, when Iron Gwazi is hauling (or at least I think I got it when it was hauling. If it wasn't then I really want to know what that would feel like since it already didn't feel legal) it's just not comparable. The Mosasaurus roll doesn't quite feel like it's trying to kill you.
I'll also put in a good word for Kumba's Zero-G. It's almost as good as the Mosasaurus roll to be frank.

Hmm I love how different we all are. For me, my favourite inversions were dive loops and zero g rolls UNTIL stalls came out. When you said you don't think they would be anyone's favourite inversion, well, stalls with lap bars are mine, as I am obsessed with hang time. In fact, I even like those carnival rides that just hang you there for an obscene amount of time and you can feel your body fighting against the lap bar the entire time, like Rangers. See for me, stalls on coasters are finally giving coasters that flat ride hang feeling.
That said, the blue fire roll spinning on Steel Taipan is very up there for me, and I am sorry you didn't get to do the spinning car when you were here. If only they would loosen the magnets and let the spin be a lot more gravity driven like in Ride to Happiness, it would be even better. Steel Taipan was more like Time Traveller in this regard (which I did ride last year on my US odyssey trip) but still very disorienting and a bucket load of fun. The upcharge price is outrageous so it's a once per park visit for the majority of us, unfortunately.
Next year is US again then Europe for one big mega 3 month tour, so finally, RTH.
Back to inversions, I love Cannibal's dual roll due to the stupid hangtime.
I don't know if I have a favourite, for me it's more inversions I DON'T like. I do NOT like Immelmans and I do NOT like Cobra Rolls. Every time I see a multi looper without them I say "Hooray"!

When I first started getting into coasters, inversions were honestly the least intimidating part, other than Pretzel loops which freaked me out quite a bit. I would get more nervous about height and drops more than anything else.

We're the opposite. I rode Skyrush before I ever rode a coaster with inversions, even though you've got a literal family coaster with an inversion next door lol. And it was Galexyland's Mindbender to get me to be ok with inversions. Not the coaster journey you expect to hear at all. And in December I finally redeemed my biggest regret dating back to 2013 when I was taken to Silver Dollar City as part of my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary when I returned to Silver Dollar City and got Outlaw Run as my 350th credit.

The vertical loop on Batwing at Six Flags America is INTENSE. Flying Dutchman coasters are underrated. Oh and who can forget the stand-up zero G roll on Shockwave at Drayton Manor? It's not so much crazy as just pure fun.

Love the video, but I would recommend a part 2!! After looking in the comments and the reviews down here as well. And I have a suggestion, and I’m home park biased for this, but personally I have to say the first inversion on steel curtain into the first drop has to be up there. The sensation and the height of it is just unmatched on and off the ride.

The inversions on Ride to Happiness are fantastic. My WOW moment was the inversions after the second Launch. One moment you watch the sky, the othwr moment the plaza. The Jojo roll is great in the front even better in the back. F.L.Y.s in versions are fantastic as well. The hangtime makes that Ride. The inversions on Condor are good if you ignore the 'comfort' of the slc. Untamed is my first RMC and the hangtime was not as enjoyable as Ride to Happiness.
