    This is a helpful video as well as all the other videos produced. You both are an inspiration to me to get back onto the ice after being off four years. My husband always went to the rink with me, after marriage, baby and him passing away two years ago I know I need to continue for him and I. I hope to pick up lessons first as this will help me physically, mentally and emotionally. Thank you both I love you and keep up the great skating!

    The shoulders hips heel alignment was a good point and the line really helped explain it. Skaters may sometimes give the false appearance that the shoulders are ahead, when in fact they are right over the hips and heel with a nice arch in the back.

      Yeah, sometimes you can catch even high level skaters skating off their center of balance.

      @@kseniyaOleg I am so annoyed... I send videos of you to my world class trainer (which is not a dancer) asking her to teach me to skate the same way and grace as you and she tells me that russian skate differently and she does not like it. Geez everybody can see and recognize straight away beauty when we see it.... So she does not want to teach me backwards crossovers like you do them opening the legs more and pushing with both legs.... Time for a new teacher. I really want a dancer to teach me... Sorry just venting.... I realy like your skating style more then many champions and medallists I see here everyday....

    About the hips vs the shoulders... I am rather confused because I was taught to do 3-turns without changing the position of my arms and shoulders (if doing a 3-turn on a left outside edge, I would keep my weight on my left side with my left arm in front). Now the new teachers I've had for a few years keep telling me that I have to use my shoulders and bring my right arm forward before turning (the shoulders turn first and the hips/legs follow). This is not how I learned, though, so I find it confusing. Are there two approaches or is one correct and the other wrong?

    Will this be good practice for back-crossovers? I am suffering for the crossovers and I am looking any way out. Can you introduce any others of your uploads helpful to me unless you think this is. Thanks in advance.
