Yup, he knows that his entire life has led up to this moment, but he can't do it. If the fight wasn't already about to be over, this would have sealed it. We saw how important the mental aspect of it was in the first fight. The boxing style also naturally played a part, but so was being in there for the right reason.
All Victor had growing up was his father and his boxing sport. Ludmilla was only interested money and high life she didn't care about her son Victor. She only seen both Ivan and Victor as money making high life.
I like how in this film Drago is seen like more of a real person than in Rocky 4. In that film he was almost like a cartoon character. Ultimately he threw in the towel out of concern for his son.

Yeah, but sometimes in moments of extremity; similar to what both fighters might be feeling in the ring trying to kill each other; you are reminded of the things that you live for, your mum, dad, spouse or bro/sis or anyone and you muster the strength to bear and fight back and ask God to let you live for that thing or person..
I knew of this movie but only got to watch it during quarantine and I am telling you I am hooked. I have watched it countless times. Love, love, love this movie. The themes and story line was good.
Florian Munteanu as Viktor is impeccable casting. Munteanu has this sensitive face. You can see the ignored little boy inside him. The horror of his mother walking out on him is both literal and painful, as is the fact that he won't go down, because he is doing this, risking life and limb, for his father, who never abandons him. Tessa Thompson's surreal song is a nice touch. All in all, though, thanks to Munteanu and Lundgren, the film goes from average to great, especially that last beat, after Ivan throws in the towel, when Ivan and Viktor, father and son, forever united, are seen running together, back to their routine, forever changed and better. The film is good because Munteanu's Viktor is not a stereotypical villain.
I like how creed is looking at Bianca and his mother after getting hit in the ribs screaming out in pain! Knowing he’s hurt but gets up! And continue to battle for everything he’s got! That takes heart and will .. to survive !
Fun fact: Writer/director/Producer of the original film, Ryan Coogler wanted to show via Adonis’s style that he was like Apollo and Rocky. The fighting style is a marriage of Apollo’s speed oriented style and the brawling that Rocky uses. Though these films seem to be more grounded in reality than any of the previous entries. Point being: every thing he does that gets him in trouble versus Drago Is somehow connected to his father.
When Ivan did what Rocky failed to do all those years ago - throwing in the towel to save his family - that really hit me hard. Such awesome writing right there!
I don’t think people give props to how realistic this fight is in its own right. Of course, it’s less realistic than the first fight, but the way Creed approaches fighting Drago and a lot of the actual action is extremely well done. Most fighters would assume a guy as big as Drago lacks speed, which is Creeds mistake in the first fight. But you can see from how quick Drago fires his power shots and the way he’s able to maneuver around the ring with the same fluidness as smaller fighter and keep up with Creed that this isn’t the case. He’s almost like Mike Tyson with the power shots and his ability to apply pressure, but his size does present the issue of a lack of stamina which is shown here. Most fighters would be scared to attempt to get on the inside of Drago to deliver any damage due to the massive shots constantly being thrown whenever anyone is in range, because as Rocky said you have to be willing to take the pain to give any pain. Drago’s large and long arms prevent him from effectively throwing shots close to his body once someone gets in close, but his speed usually allows him to slip back and throw more brutal shots before getting to many shots in at him. The reason why Tyson didn’t have this problem is due to his rotation while fighting and his lack in height that gave him the advantage of power shots without a weakness on the inside, but with the speed and technique to continue applying pressure even without the reach advantage (which he still had due to his long arms to some extent). Overall, people don’t give how perfectly executed the fight choreography is in this movie, and how it compares to real boxing with a lot of people calling it unrealistic.
It was to drain the blood, I am not sure a doctor would let that go… also I don’t think they would have let Apollo fight with internal bleeding (broken ribs I am not sure if that is a fight ender as well

You can't always do the same thing. Rocky 3 ended in round 3. Balboa was the last round but it was a 10 round exhibition match
I feel like creed will have flashbacks at 6:07 like rocky did when he fought drago
drago was different in this movie unlike rocky 4 when he was a heartless robot with no emotion. but here hes human and showed emotion and had a heart
Look at what he went through at the time. He failed the ussr when he lost to Rocky. His wife left him and he could hardly find work. He was lonely single father with hardly any money 💰.
I love this movie!!! Creed2
What i like about this movie is that they were really hitting each other Michael b jordan said it in a interview
Fight starts at 4:09
I remember that dude he's from raising Dion l, Dion's dad that's cool
That pretty cool his wife song as he walked out
My heart broke for drago .feeling abandoned hurts
Poor viktor drago he wasn’t really the bad guy , it was Ivan
True, I still hated Ivan for killing his Apollo. In the ring in Rocky 4.
I'll say the villains were either Adonis, Ludmilla, or Buddy Marcelle
This was by far his toughest and best fight.
Bonita película como consigue vencer el personaje, ante tantísimas criticas, le dijeron que era una bestia y cayó hasta la bestias de ficcion.
10:16 is where it gets so amazing
what song is playing at the 1:11 mark?
