    This happens if one does not read the manual. You nearly did all the things wrong, one can do wrong. The device perfectly works as expected. If you set the heating temperature to 1 °C, it does neither heat nor does it speed up the fan.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately Dyson don’t supply a printed manual. Fortunately I was able to sell this on for more than I paid for it and replaced it with a far more efficient purifier at a fraction of the price. I should have just returned the first one that was dead on arrival.

    • @davidneverdave
      @davidneverdave ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ibaisaicwhy do you need the manual to be printed? Dyson have an 11 page manual for this model on their website. You’re also holding an iPad in your hands in this video. Sounds like you just want to find any excuse to call the machine faulty…

    Also the temp is the room temp not the heat output so if its set to 30 it will heat to 30 and if its set to auto it will go to its highest fan speed to get to it

  • @Ash-re2fe
    @Ash-re2fe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    You have to set the oscillation in the menu it gave you. When you pressed the button in the app, you went into a sub menu where it showed a graph of it spinning, and beneath that it had a selection of modes. You kept it set to “off” and then pressed “done”. That was the issue there. When you tried it before with the remote, it cycles through those same options and you were just pressing it enough to go back to “off” again haha.

  • @hackey8811
    @hackey8811 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The heating option works like a radiator, you set the temp you want and it will warm to that temp, once it gets to that temp it will stop. When the room temp is below what you set it will kick back in. It blows out the same same temp no matter what you change it to, temp 15 and 37 is no difference, it’s the temp you want the room to be like a thermostat.

  • @s.kxx1956

    When the temp is lower than room temp then fan speed wont increase

  • @siguros

    That was painful to watch! On heat the fan will ramp up to heat the room. Having temp set at 1 with an ambient temperature of 22 the fan will be on minimum. Only on cool will you adjust the fan speed. RTFM 😑

    Hi. I have one of these on order. For the main part I wish to use it in my bedroom. Is it necessary to keep my bedroom door shut for best efficiency or can I leave my door ajar as I would normally do without loss of efficiency. The door was kept open so I had a constant change of air in my bedroom. Thank you. Interesting video by the way.

    • @williamcopeland2617
      @williamcopeland2617 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      When you plug it up for the first time and turn it on, I would let it run with the door closed for about 30 minutes. After that, you are good to go whether the door is opened or closed. I have the HP10 in my master bedroom and it works very well.
