It is a relief to see such a well-made video. It has been a year since I saw such a good video. This educated me a lot currently I am using the Dyson air purifier and humidifier and this video allows me to compare it. I don’t think mine has the formaldehyde so I’m going to need to update, and buy this one. It was great to see it in action with fumes and smoke beside it.
Many thanks for reviewing this. May I ask if the fan performance has degraded since you made the purchase? i.e Wind output at respective speed levels are still as is, or it has changed?
may i ask you what about the maintenance?how long the hepa filter last and need for replacement? or we just keep vacuuming the dust , for the catalytic filter can be wash right ?
another good review jayce.. i believe this is good to purified the air. if needed for air circulation normal fan or wall fan will be better n best choice kan? less noise and direct air much faster n further?
Thanks. For aircon room, TP09 is enough. Ceiling / normal fan will be too cool then. For non-aircon room, full blast ceiling fan is better in air circulation.
One main difference of the Dyson Formaldehyde Purifier TP09 that I got this week compared to this review is the Dyson's Selective Catalytic Oxidisation (SCO) filter, the blue filter. The one I got looks more like paper/sponge filter. It does not look as durable as the one in this review. Since Dyson's website claims that this SCO filter "never needs replacing," I hope that the filter endures. I do hope that the purifier is of good quality and will perform well.
Got mine recently bought for my mum. It feels more a like a pre filter with half bottom sponge and half upper thin mesh paper. Feel sad and cheated. The one they show here more like a steel mesh
I have one and the air flow is not strong. Do you think something is wrong with it? All the functions works. It just not enough air for me. But is that normal?
The dyson is basically only good for filtering air and give you statistics on the air quality and thats it. If you want strong air flow and filter in a big room, get a seperate fan and air filter. For a small room, this dyson should be fine unless you want more airflow.
I bought one last month but returned it because the automatic mode would not purify the air enough to go below the "desired air quality threshold". The fan would stagnate at level 1-2 and keep the air quality above the line. That means it was almost constantly on and blowing. I would have thought it would blow hard, get the air clean and then go into standby mode. What is your experience with this? thanks
Mine will increase fan speed whenever air quality is degraded. The fan is on low speed during idle. Not totally off. How is your air quality in the Dyson Link app?
its pity that dyson air purifier dont have a pre filter like any other air purifier brand. I feel like the pre filter could make cleaning much easier. are you feeling difficult to clean the filter regularly compare with other brand?
Cleaning the filters like that totally defeats the purpose! 😆 They are there for you don’t have to do that and replace them when the machine tells you.
Nobody says that you don't need to replace the filter when lifespan is due. It performs better by cleaning them from time to time. You don't need to clean aircond filter?

Watched this review in full, I will get TP09 for my office in Malaysia. Terima kasih, adik!
You are most welcome 🙂
Excellent tutorial video I am considering buying one of these for our bedroom as my wife suffers from asthma thank you
Thanks and welcome 🥰
Thank you for showing how quickly the fan can filter the voc from paint. Impressive!
You are most welcome. 😊
Hi Jay, will this be helpful when it comes to dust removal/mites?
You need Dyson V12 @ th-cam.com/video/PTRMQK0cPmo/w-d-xo.html
Hi. Great video. I have TP04. Do you think I should upgrade to TP09 or not Honestly.
Never try TP04, no comment. Sorry...
Best review on the internet, thank you so much
Thanks! You are most welcome!
Hello Jayce, do you notice any strong plastic or so called 'new smell' from the TP? If yes, how long did it take to fade away?
No. I didn't notice it.
Thanks for these detailed reviews. They are excellent. I ordered my Dyson after viewing these. Very well done!
Thank you, Jon.
Many thanks for reviewing this. May I ask if the fan performance has degraded since you made the purchase? i.e Wind output at respective speed levels are still as is, or it has changed?
I didn't notice. If yours does, you need to clean/change the filters. And clean the whole machine too.
@@jayceooi Thanks for getting back, something for me to think about before i drop any cash on it.
@@maozuka8808 you are most welcome 😉
Just got mine today! Super helpful. Just wondering if this should be as a standalone or we can use a fan at the same time also?
Both also can. Totally up to you.
Sur mon filtre formaldehyde j'ai une surépaisseur en fibre de 5mm : avez vous cette surépaisseur sur le purificateur TP09 ?
excellent review of the Dyson PT09.
Thanks!
may i ask you what about the maintenance?how long the hepa filter last and need for replacement? or we just keep vacuuming the dust , for the catalytic filter can be wash right ?
Dyson recommends every 12 months. But I use it more than usually. Yes, I do vacuum and clean them from time to time.

Glad that it helped. And you are most welcome!

Just got mine and same as yours - the SCO blue filter is made from paper/sponge. Did you find a reason for it and how has your TP09 been performing?
Got mine recently bought for my mum. It feels more a like a pre filter with half bottom sponge and half upper thin mesh paper. Feel sad and cheated. The one they show here more like a steel mesh
I read that the glass HEPA filter is made of fiber glass, and does give out tiny amount of fiber glass. Is it not of any concern in the long run?
No for me.
Do you think that this unit will heat up an area of 800-1200 square feet?
Heat up?
Can it be used everyday nonstop?
Yes. Mine is 24/7 on.
Just bought an exactly same machine as this one! Thanks for your review!
You are most welcome 😉
Does it decrease the temperature of room?
Nope. It's just a fan. Not aircond.
Great as always Dyson
Im thinking if i should get this or Coway Lombok 3, any suggestions?
I own Coway older model. You need ceiling fan help to circulate the air in the room.
For aircon room, Dyson is preferred.
@@jayceooi what about the power consumption for dyson? :)
@@Jess-l9q6y Good question. But can't answer you yet as my unit is at office. WFH now...
@@jayceooi bring it home xD thanks anyway!!
Compare mi xiomai 3 air filter quality vs this Dyson ?
Very nice, and detailed review!
Thank you!
I have one and the air flow is not strong. Do you think something is wrong with it? All the functions works. It just not enough air for me. But is that normal?
The air flow won't be as powerful as standard fan. So it's normal.
The dyson is basically only good for filtering air and give you statistics on the air quality and thats it. If you want strong air flow and filter in a big room, get a seperate fan and air filter. For a small room, this dyson should be fine unless you want more airflow.
Nice, have you try voice control with Google Assistant?
Not supported yet.
@@jayceooi I see, what a bummer, in the Malaysia dyson official website says supports all voice control
Well explained thanks
Thank you too!
*Will the device fan work without the filters?*
No
Jaycee, I bought TP09 and I noticed the airflow is not like you said that the max reaches 5 meters :( maybe my machine si defective?
How far it can reach?
Really great review, thank you!
Welcome 😉

is it consuming a lot of electricity?
No.

It's the same to me. I just vacuum.
How much are the filters and how often do we need to replace them?
RM299. Dyson recommends replacing the air purifier filter every 12 months. But I use more than that usually.
RM299 for 1 pair of filters or just 1 side? Because in your TH-cam video I saw there are front and back removable carbon filters
@@wanosmeraedrazaman3922 A pair @ www.dyson.my/360-glass-hepa-and-activated-carbon-filter
You know, looking at the Dyson website will tell you that info
Is it also a heater and cooling fan
Fan yes. Heater no.
I have the TP06. What’s the difference ?
Good question. However, I don't know the answer. Please consult Dyson Support.
Excellent review
Thank you! 😊
Air cleaning and cooling at the same Time ?
Yes 😊
