    Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! th-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    Important to note that dB is a logarithmic scale. So 20 dB isn’t double 10 dB. 13 dB is double 10 dB. Therefore 20dB is actually 10x 10dB.

    Hi, thank for the informations! I'm really interested in wattage consume, you showed that in warming mode it consumes 2000 watt but is it always fix at 2000 or it varies between the warming phase (raising temperature up from 16 to 20°C, consuming 2000w) and the mantaining phase (consuming maybe 800w keeping temperature stable at 20°C for hours)? This would have a big impact on running cost.

    One thing not mentioned is that it uses much less electricity than a normal space heater which can trip circuit breakers. Also much safer.

    • @juanzie42
      @juanzie42 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was discussed briefly actually, and it uses just about what is average power for a space heater of it's kind and can certainly trip circuit breakers! Although it's fair to note it may use less electricity by more efficiently heating a room, therefore not needing to be on for as long. In the video it measured 2006 Watts- that is certainly enough to trip some circuit breakers specially if it is on a shared circuit with any other devices. 2006 W on a 110V source would equal about 18.2 Amp draw for example!

    • @DE-sf9sr
      @DE-sf9sr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Skeptical. Has not tripped a breaker that I know a space heater trips.

    • @juanzie42
      @juanzie42 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@DE-sf9sr Perhaps that specific unit which you are referring to uses excessive electricity than most space heaters which is why circuit breaker trips? Ultimately your sample size of 1 cannot trump measured values and ohms law my friend. To outright claim that this unit uses "much less" electricity is a reach when the data is in front of you

  • @sasca854

    There's not really a more "efficient" way to turn electricity directly into heat. One watt is equal to 3.41BTU/hr and there's no getting around it. You'd have to invest in a heat pump or something of the like, which is not nearly as simple to install or maintain as the resistive heaters in standalone units like this.

  • @bogachan4702
    @bogachan4702 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Amazing review. Just to clarify, heating can not be any more efficient for any heating unit, heating has pretty much 1 to 1 (%100) energy conversion ratio from electricity to heat. So any heating unit has perfect energy conversion ratio regardless off quality and can not be any more efficient. 1 Watt*s (electricity) = 1 joule (heat)

    I have a few questions for anyone who has used this device:
    Will it heat and purify a living area of 1000 to 1200 square feet?
    Will it heat and purify seperate rooms within that square footage? There are small gaps under each bedroom door…will it purify and heat those rooms when the doors are closed?
    Is air circulation noticeable?
    Typical energy consumption with average settings?

      Hmm, depends on time to reach a suitable ambient temperature, but let's do the basics: 2kWh for 6 hours of the day = 12kW power at 31.8p/ kWh = £3.82/day. I suspect this would be more expensive than heating your whole house on gas once standing charges are factored, if you're running 2 of them (2 rooms as you said = £7.64). Plus factor the levelised cost (i.e. you need to spend £500 to buy the unit, which if used for 1 year is £1.70/day in addition to the running cost).

    Having owned the taller model, I can honestly say it is the most overpriced product I have ever known. You are paying for the technology rather than the actual performance. The fan needs to be right by you, to feel any benefit and the quiet mode is worthless as the movement of air is unnoticeable.
    Save yourself a stack of cash and buy a cheap fan. You won’t regret that, but you will regret spending wads of cash for something that isn’t fit for purpose.

  • @snufflehound
    @snufflehound 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    A ridiculously overpriced solution in search of a problem. Also, "cooling mode" doesn't actually cool, just blows filtered ambient air. In other words if the room air temp is 80 degrees, the unit will blow 80 degree air - and will never cool the room down, as erroneously suggested in the clip.
