Replaced with a new one as well. Does this need programming? Or a High Level Scanner to do resets, coding, programming? When the car is put in first, the gear lights flash on the dashboard. Thanks

the hood sensor that tells the ECU that the hood is closed isn't working or faulty, in some cases the hood needs to be opened and closed again. this will cause the gear number to flash.

A question, if I humbly may! I'm about to unscrew the hydraulic lines, but afraid if the pressure has been relieved in the system.. I pulled the reservoir as apart of the intake mani removal.. thus drained the Pentosin fluid. As I progressed with a head gasket replacement, I made the decision eventually to simultaneously relocate the SMG unit; I pulled the salmon relay in the fuse box, turned on ignition but didnt start car, and attempted to shift gears but trans wouldn't engage into anything out of N, trans gearbox symbol light is on the dash.. does this effectively mean the unit has been relieved fully of pressure? Just don't want fluid going absolutely everywhere once the lines are fully unscrewed!!

The lines are high pressure low volume, so just put a rag around to catch any fluid and unfasten them. It'll dribble out at the most, just make sure the pump relay is out or its unplugged so it doesn't run while its dry.

I’m thinking about replacing the hydraulic smg fluid. Am I able to do this without having to bleed the system? I was just simply going to use a low pressure sucking pump to get what is inside the reservoir.

@@gloglo1275 as long as you can get line into bottom of pump section that's should do it. Keep in mind the fluid in lines will still be old fluid. Also make sure pump does not run while you do this or you will have to bleed system.

      I have a question

What exactly were his symptoms of a bad pressure sensor?? I just installed a twin disk clutch and it is violently bucking in 1st and 2nd. It’s almost non drivable. I’m looking at all options and all scenarios.
