Thanks so much for sharing this. I would love to know how to make this for my windows as well. Can you share the names of the tools or items needed to make the magnetic screen?
Cheers, been having similar issues keeping the frame square, starts off well, but kept ending up with a super wonkey frame, especially with the effort required to push the strips into the groove. A tiled floor helped me keep things square in the end.
Hey there, was wondering would you say that this would be strong enough to prevent a cat from getting out of the window? I live on the 11th floor of a apartment building where the windows in all apartments don’t have screens. I don’t have a cat because of this but want one and trying to find a solution of preventing the cat from falling. Thanks!
That's creative thinking! However, I don't think it's strong enough to prevent a cat from jumping through. You have to rely on the mesh screen dividing the force over the full length of the magnetic strip. This will probably happen if the cat jumps exactly in the middle of the screen. But if he/she decides to try it at a corner, for example, I don't think it will hold.
Good observation, and I think you're absolutely right. Luckily it's possible to put a bit more tenions/stress on the canvas while actually placing it in the window!
Thank you for this very practical video! I appreciate that you also mentioned a mistake you made
I want the door. That is awesome.
Very helpful! Thank you!

Goede video! Ik ga deze methode proberen bij mijn dakramen
Great video and Job well done ... what is the name of the tool that you used to measure the gap ?
With some spacers / filler plates made of plastic (used to level out construction work)

@@dutchdiyfamily thanks so much for replying and sharing your thoughts. All the best
Great video. The screen may need more play when you start the 3rd and 4th side
