    Unless the holder is extra slim and it comes with ultra long bits, it's useless to dismantle a lot of appliances with screws in deep holes, like vacuum cleaners for example. The holder is too wide and gets blocked before reaching the bottom, even with long bits. Long thin-shanked screwdrivers still have a bright future ahead... ;)

    If your cleanout wye had been installed in the opposite direction you would have been able to run a snake through the line to clear any blockage.

    Good information ! But it is unfortunate that the most interesting part in chapter 7 is unsharp and highspeed. It more or less defies the purpose if you show it in highspeed...

    *OK, so for my floor drain under the basement floor, that will take all the waste water into the public sewer line, I am thinking to put a 5 inches schedule 80 pipe. Cost doesn't bother me. Are there any drawbacks for this application? I just wanted to have a stronger and wider pipe under the floor so I, hopefully, never have to dig the basement floor to treat the broken or narrow pipe.*

    Hey there, was wondering would you say that this would be strong enough to prevent a cat from getting out of the window? I live on the 11th floor of a apartment building where the windows in all apartments don’t have screens. I don’t have a cat because of this but want one and trying to find a solution of preventing the cat from falling. Thanks!

    • @dutchdiyfamily
      @dutchdiyfamily 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's creative thinking! However, I don't think it's strong enough to prevent a cat from jumping through. You have to rely on the mesh screen dividing the force over the full length of the magnetic strip. This will probably happen if the cat jumps exactly in the middle of the screen. But if he/she decides to try it at a corner, for example, I don't think it will hold.

    Cheers, been having similar issues keeping the frame square, starts off well, but kept ending up with a super wonkey frame, especially with the effort required to push the strips into the groove. A tiled floor helped me keep things square in the end.

    Thank you for making this video you gave me some insight what I’m about to have to do at the house. Did your line go to the septic tank? If so did you seal it the same way as you did at the old tile?

    • @dutchdiyfamily
      @dutchdiyfamily 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brandon, the line goes to the main sewer (all houses in Holland are connected to a central sewage system). We used the same sealant throughout the entire "project".
