In a Vanilla playthrough of SoC for some stubborn or buggy reason I ran into a similar issue. It would not be an instant delete though, so I just spammed first aid from the threshold to the control room of the Big Brain room while battling zomz. Failed a bunch but also built up my traumatic bond with the Stalker series.
For what it's worth, you can also just sleep in the bunker for four to six 13 hour sessions, waking up for a minute each time to drink some water, eat, and pop another sleeping pill. Takes maybe 5 minutes of RL time.
Downside to doing this: the enemies that spawn in Anomaly get progressively harder as your playtime for a character increases. After a week in game you've got monolith with RPGs and gauss rifles in Army Warehouse as well as chimeras spawning in Cordon :)

In my first few days up North I already a fully-functioning sniper rifle and a pretty alright DMR. This is something people who played SoC would already know. If Kruglov dies you get the uncalibrated helmet (you pay for neither of them in SoC). In practice, the difference, if any, is minimal, and trying to complete that damn mission with Kruglov just isn't worth it. You'll waste way too much ammo (which is rare and expensive in SoC, especially the top shelf AP rounds). Easiest bet is to just accept the mission, wait til he dies, then go back for the uncalibrated helmet and proceed
If you want the completionist achievement, you need the calibrated one. And if you're wondering why people bother with achievements, the hint is right there: completionist.

all things considered its not that big prize , with these mods and inflation in the game the 7.5k difference is like 3-7 food items or 3? medkits , for essential plot item thats bargin lots of other games where they got essential item and they money hate it its usually big sum
it kinda like a dam in a sense. you getting closer to the source the pressure is higher. when the dam broke it not just damage the brain it got destroyed.
I was under the impression that both helmets did the same thing, but in certain sections like the miracle machine, the properly calibrated helmet gave you a longer time to shut the brain down.
Yea for some reason they changed it so that you can’t go into lab X16 which is really stupid because if you go down there you get soft locked and can’t leave unless you use debug mode to spawn yourself the calibrated one or fast travel out of there. It did work the way you described in ShoC though.

I killed them all and i confirmed every single body with a headshoot.... The last one was this guy... He was not dead already but seriously wounded. He was crying for his life. You can't! But disabling the miracle machine is not actually a requirement for Living Legend. Once you have the 5g helmet you're given the task to disable the Miracle Machine, but it isn't required!
When i first played the game i didnt know about anything and didnt start the living legend quest line, but there were still "can you tell me about brain scorcher" and "ı need psy helmet" when i talk with prof sakharov so i take the uncalibrated version since i believe i didnt need full version for now (i was still kind of at the start of the game). NOW here comes the strange part instead of the "close miracle machine" quest prof sakharov wanted me to close brain scorhcer (btw i still didnt know what miracle machine or brain scorcher is so i wasnt confused). so i go to radar and close the brain scorcher... I didn even know that if there will be places that request a better helmet so ı buy fully upgraded version of psy helmet AFTER i closed brain scorcher lmao.
Also he takes something like 18k if you wanted to upgrade it again (which if you wait 2 days without buying prototype you pay 17/18k so if you buy both prototype AND later upgrade it you get scammed 2x lmao)
Miracle machine is the big brain in a tube shown on the video. Why it is called Miracle Machine is unknown, but it basically a prototype of the Brain Scorcher. Miracle machine can turn people into zombie by using psi engry, and been firing emissions because of lack of maintenance.
The Psy-Helms you get from Sakharov are not helmet items you equip and don't give you any psy resistance in the way a normal helmet does. Instead they are quest items which the game will check if you have when going into certain areas

The point is that to finish the game you don't need the calibrated helmet. Going into the room with the funny brain in X-16 isn't required to finish the main questline for Anomaly 'Living Legend'
The helmet just stops you from dying in certain areas from high psy-levels. If you're talking about the x19 lab in Radar which has the timer there is a switch you need to pull once you get to the end of the level. kill the 3 bloodsuckers before the timer ends and pull the switch at the end, without either helmets you wouldnt even be able to make it inside the lab to have the timer pop up

Scotch, if you haven't tried out Oblivion Lost Remake 2.5 yet, I highly recommend it. I've played almost every major SoC and CoP mod out there, but OLR was something special. Absolutely not recommended for new players though, you'll get 500% stuck and lost if you don't already know the basics of the story and what you're doing.
Someone might correct me here, but if you're talking about 0:23 through 0:39, those "blips" are not psy areas. What you're seeing are the 'offline' Stalker/Mutant squads roaming around, the color of said blips denoting the faction (this is a part of the A-Life system). You learn the location of psy areas by experience, which usually involves stumbling into a map, realizing the screen is a weird hue, and dying. Of course, if you have a psy helmet you'll never realize there's a psy zone in the first place.
In theory it's doable, if you play with dynamic faction relations on, the bandits and scientist can negotiate a cease-fire and become neutrals, at least in vanilla Anomaly. If you look at the faction relations in your PDA, whenever two factions reach -5000 points they pledge truce. I once played as a scientist and befriended all the factions, but it's quite boring after that, noone will shoot you. Once two factions are neutral you can start doing missions for them and earn their trust. I had a bug that I found a neutral monolith, that was my entry point, I was ok with them after ten or so missions done, that was pretty weird. I don't know if you can replicate this in EFP or GAMMA, tho.
@@ДэнаунНовиньо my first playthrough still ongoing as a merc, i have dynamic factions enabled and somehow we're not to chummy with the ecologists anymore. didn't know i needed to talk to them for more than just selling research material and artifacts. when i got to this guy, they looked like military so i just killed them no questions asked until i saw a scientist run from the bunker.. he was marked as an enemy so i killed him too. looted his corpse and there was a psy-helmet. hoping i uhhh dont need to ever talk to that guy again because he's very dead.

Yes, G.A.M.M.A is just Anomaly with a bunch of extra unnecessary stuff added on. Unless there is an add-on/mod in the GAMMA modpack which specifically changes this mechanic then it should still work the same

How do you disable the Miracle Machine if you cant enter the room with the brain jar?
You can't! But disabling the miracle machine is not actually a requirement for Living Legend. Once you have the 5g helmet you're given the task to disable the Miracle Machine, but it isn't required!
