The funny thing about it is that the wish granter is a hologram made by the c-consciousness, and it gives whoever reaches it a twisted hallucination of their wish before it kills them. In all likelihood, the immortality ending where you become a zombie is the only one that’s real.
Yeap, it also has many similarities with "the room" from tarkovsky's Stalker.l, there the room also supposedly grants wishes but with a twist, been a while since I saw the movie but I think a writer wanted to become famous so the room gave him fame but post-mortem and killed him a week or so later :D

Well yes from a personal perspective it is just straight up evil and bad but also it's kind of complicated if you've read the book/seen the movie Stalker by Tarkovsky. They have nothing to do with the games story (or stories) but they are the backbone for the stalker game series, and there, although it's all very complicated and philosophical, the way I understood it is the wishgranter (called the room in the book/movies) is alien tech that made it to earth that sees the future and can see the end of human civilization through nuclear weapons, thus it can't really fulfill any wishes or make anyone happy, which is what people ultimately want. There's loads more to it of course, the other option is that it's literally space junk of an alien race that accidentally left it on earth much like we throw a can of pepsi in the forest.
I havent play enough to reach Wish Granter in Anomaly 1.5.0 but i have done it in 1.5.2 and when i wished peace for world all npc's dissappeared except Sidorovich ( it proves that hes immortal )
the reason why when wishing for world peace you don't get deleted is because you become part of the zone and see NOTHING but the rest of the zone is still going, you are basically in a parallel universe
But you can still talk to sidorovich and get a task. The task is to get the next task. And then you can talk to Sidorovich to get the next task. And this repeats. If this is true, Sidorovich can see in parallel universes.
I was a dutyer, I Chewed ass and kicked gum and i was always all out of ass, my relations with my factions allies were at max, and then strelok took me to the monolith or the wish granter. and the first thing i ask fo is immortality, my relations were still maxed I still was the hero of all loners, dutyers, ecologists AND the monolith, and now i can walk anywhere without giving a fuck, dunno bout that zombified stuff, the monolith didnt drop a monkey paw bussiness with me.
The only problem is that CNPP, Pripyat, Radar, and Red Forest will be boring since Monolith is now friendly. They're actually one of my main source of income aside from Artifacts.
When I was doing Call of Chernobyl, I managed to escape with 4th wish (all riches in the zone) by using the backpack before making a wish, but I still can’t drop it after the wish is made.
damn, man this is an awesome little vid, for some reason when i wished for immortality i failed my main story quest, then completed it and didnt become a zombie, so i was literally immortal and monolith didnt attack me either, idk what happened but i'm not complaining.
So. Coming back from Anomaly. From what I've found, if you chose the 'Make Me Immortal' option from the list, if you have maximum goodwill, it seems to stick. Don't know if it's a bug or nor, but with such, no one one maximum goodwill shoots me. So basically every faction aside from Mercs and Soldiers in my playthrough. Honestly not that sussed about that.
so thats why i crashed when i chose the riches of the zone, i have loads of addons as well. Also I was rolling with strelok as an ecologist to get to the with granter, I thought he was invulnerable like Hip, he died inside the sarcophagus
If you don't mind cheating (it's for a video anyway so...), you can launch the game in debug mode, create a character from another faction, type "g_god on" in the console and just fast travel to somewhere around the wish granter room, that way you could have shown the last one
The latest patch changed Immortality It now just makes you stronger and makes monolith not hate you So you can now do a 100% everyone loves you Ecologist run where you use a disguise to max goodwill with Bandits and then wish for Immortality to max goodwill with the Monolith
I was playing earlier today looking for the monolith control room and stumbled on the wish granter and for a few seconds forgot my true mission I went up talked to it then saw my options and backed away with ought wishing even knowing about the wish granter it still can lure you in 😂
I wished for world peace last night as I finished the Mortal Sin questline as a Freedomer and I was wondering why everybody besides Sidorovich disappeared lol
When I wished for peace, everyone besides sidorovich and a few monolith disappeared. I don't know why the monolith were still there, there was only 3 of them, and they didn't have any sort of special quest.
The world peace option doesn’t just delete everyone it sends you one mission to go back to cordon where it all began and talk to fat man and he gives you a special task
At the time of recording it didn't do that, it just killed everyone, but they may have changed it. Also I'm not sure if what faction makes the wish changes the outcome now.
Yeah but the whole idea of the mod is that it's a infinitely repeatable open world so "restarting" doesn't really matter unless it's one of the "main" quests. It's all set after the events of SOC. Plus I think there's legal issues.
Not sure if i glitched the game somehow but when i wish to become immortal, i teleport to the swamps like normal, but i retain all of my relations and i can still sprint as well as interact. I basically become immortal for free with no downsides
It would probably just make you blind and teleport you somewhere in the zone, like a radioactive lake or something :P (based on the out of sight out of mind saying) :)
Am I the only who had the " become immortal " option I gotta say it's pretty cool I no more take damage But why didn't you have that option ? P.S: this choice caused some problems on strelok mission the one that he gives you all the answers you need so I had to load the last saved game which was before the immortality thing And it worked just great Then got the wish granter again and choosed the immortality again and also my realtion with the monolith fighters is maximal now :D
I just wished for that same one and it teleported me inside an open tomb at the church in the great swamp! Oh and I was still myself with strelok and the other guys in my squad
if i am not mistaken, inmortality wish just turn you into a zombie stalker xd, "neutral" stalker attack you if they see you, or at least thats what i remember
there is a perallel really in game when you activate the debug menu it throws you in a plain where there is 4 cubes after you clip around them without falling off the world you are teleported naked in the world in the great swamps if you manage to get to sidorivich without dying to radiation poisoning or anomalies monolith spawn like around 30 at the other end the world is empty but for some reason the real zone spills over to it there are other stalkers but they are killed off fast. no mutants except the psi-dog at the hearth of oasis. it gets boring since you have to buy all the access point but you have everything you need emissions artifacts spawn for sell and if you get missions from sidorovich which dont automatically fail you can progress and open other gear. It might be more close to realty if you want it to since you dont have so much tense action in life. Forester in red forest is the place to use tech stuff, sidorovich for trade.
I wished for immortality; but I'm still labeled as a Loner, max respect to the proper factions, sprinting around like a vegetable juice commercial, and chilling with the factions like a capybara. Did I do something wrong? Not in game error, as a person in general. Update: if at the Sarcophagus for the Shard, the game WILL crash on a last question
It's a side effect, nobody is actually meant to use it, it's just there to lure people in so the monolith gains new members. That said although the wiki says the monolith was made by the C conciousness and the game seems to hint that a few times it's not ... necessarily concrete. If you watch "Stalker" by andrei tarkovsky (which is kind of what the game is based on, for a large part at least) you'd see that "the room" there works much like the monolith in spirit, and there it's ... a kind of an alien ... thing. My bet is it's the same here and CC just lied to Strelok. I mean in the same conversation where they explain what the monolith is they also lie to Strelok about his identity and a few other things too ;)
Oh one more thing about the monolith, the things it can do are ... insanely powerful to say the least. If the CC could make something so powerful they wouldn't have any problems of any sort, ever, and strelok would never have reached them. Now one could argue that whatever ending you choose with the monolith it just makes you think that's happening, creates illusions in your head (like if you chose humanity must be controlled it turns everyone into a controller etc.) but it can also crash your game. That's some serious power for it to be just one more creation of CC like the brain scorcher, which they also lied about. They say they made it when in reality the tweaked and fixed some already present equipment the soviet union left there. ^_^
Is there a way to undo the wish,i thought it would be better in anomaly edition, turned out its worse than vanila.I chosed the control one,now my whole screen is full of controller、blood sucker、zombies, and most importantly, they respawn every 10 fking second. It would be good for lore and gaming experience if they respawn every 10 real-life minute, but now my save and gaming is totally ruined,(my back up saves too,i refresh them pretty often so they dont left behind the progress too much). help plz
Yes totally, depending on which ending you choose that is. But anomaly doesn't have a "main" quest really. It has a few story quests depending on the faction you play as but the main focus is free roam, repeatable quests, exploration and etc.
About "every item in the game" wish - it crashes the game because it spawns some kind of "dummy gauss rounds" (I'm not sure from which mod they came from or is it from mod in the first place). I tried editing the script and it worked out. Well, to be precise it "worked" until I found out that every time ANY round is fired - the game crashes. Technically tou can pull it off by copying script -> editing original -> making wish then fast traveling to your stash (this is basically cheating. All you have to do is follow the damn... sorry, bad joke. All you need to do is enable fast travel to stashes in options with all pointers enabled) -> save EXTREMELY fast cause there's always a chance that someone will open fire at something (it's the Zone, duh) -> close the game -> replace edited script with original one -> load the game -> DROP ALL ITEMS TO STASH (I don't need to explain why, right?). Profit. Congratulations! You've just scammed the scammer! I can't remember which exact script it was ngl cause it was more than a year ago. But I do remember that it was real pain in the ass. Also the "immortality wish" is somewhat broken on some versions due to the fact that it's making monolith friendly to you and ignors "everyone is your enemy" part. Also also you TECHNICALLY can die - anomalies, gauss headshot, blowouts and two grenades still can kill you (not sure about psy-storm tho). The game just raises your regen level to the point where your injuries regen faster than it should be possible.
Wow that's pretty impressive that you got to the cause of why it crashes and stuff, especially with like a billion items in the game :) Great work and thanks for the explanation/guide ^^
@@JuggernautSPQR thank YOU for the content - there are surprisingly small amount of videos about the Anomalie's wish granter 😅 And yeah it was really hard to pinpoint exact thing that caused crashes. Took more than a day. Like really - editing -> launching game -> crashing -> re-editing - launching -> crashing takes a lot of time and really makes your head hurt. On top of that - it's not even worth it. Seriously. At the point when you make it work all you can think is "Jeez I could just get those from debug mode..." Thank you :)
Yeap, you can go at any time you want, it's not a part of any quest, I mean it is in the storyline but you don't need a quest to go there. It is considered the bad ending of the game though, as you could tell from the video ^^
So I completed the Storyline but I got no Achivement, can you explain why? (P.S if you dont have an Idea its probally because of the cheats with godmode and item spawning) Edit: welp I just didnt complete the story line you can cheat and unlock it (right click on symbols to fast travell and F7 for everything else

I wished for the zone to disappear, game crash. I was confused but hit F5 before making a wish so i tried the same thing again. Crash. Then it dawned on me and I was happy :)
Get the death lamp artifact, get the knot artifact, activate it with death lamp to create lucifer artifact, get it to 100 percent full by feeding it more artifacts, then go to the wish granter... You're welcome. By the way regarding the first option, when it crashes read the error box, it says WISH GRANTED!
It didn't for me, I didn't get an error message in this version/update. That's the thing there's slight differences depending on the version and mods you use. But I'm curious what do you mean with the Lucifer artefact at 100% what does it do to the wish granter?
As i wished for the zone to disappear in 1.5.1 vanilla, i've got a "fatal error" -crash with the description 'wish granted' It made me laugh for to long xD
Yes but this is a free mod so we cant really expect the same level of production everywhere :) plus I kind of prefer this style, it's more 4th wall breaking and unique
@@JuggernautSPQR yeah I guess thats true. another thing I wanted to mention. the monolith isnt all powerful. when you wish for peace it dosent make everyone die. it simply makes your character believe that using psychic powers
@@mairidberz1450 yes we'll yes and no it's really debatable, the monolith is based on "the room" from the stalker movie which grants wishes but also on purpose or not screws people over, how powerful it is in the game I guess is kind of up in the air now, what with the original dev team gone, anomaly and other mods being a thing and stalker 2 coming ^^ it's more up to our own interpretation, much like the movie stalker is :)
just came back from world peace ending; i continue to play cuz its scarier and feels more liminal where you know people used to be there, but now they dont
I don't really know honestly. I think you can, I don't think the wishgranter breaks after you make a wish, but all of the wishes kind of screw you over and mess up your game so there's not much of a point doing multiple wishes.
Interesting endings but personally I can't drive myself to finish anomaly...I mean the endings are all pointless and the game is just too difficult. I like the original vanilla stalkers because they were challenging but not crazy difficult. I'm gonna go play some COC and see if I can get truck cemetery to stop crashing.
Did you know you can tweak the difficulty in anomaly both within the overhaul mod and by adding submods to high hell? Id it's too hard for you, you can make it just like the original games or even easier in terms of money, damage, ai, etc.etc. it's all in the options menu for the latest version ;)
@@JuggernautSPQR Thanks but I tried that, I mean I tweaked the settings like crazy but mutants especially just kill in like two hits and its annoying as hell. The old stalker games had certain areas with alot of anomalies not Anomaly though, there's one every 5 feet in cordon and swamps. It just gets too frustrating sometimes.
@@BrokenCircle1 Hm, yeah the start is really brutal, what I did in most of my playthroughs is make the economy much more player friendly, bigger rewards for tasks, selling items at a slightly higher price (instead of the default 5 or 10% of it's value which I found just stupid) added some mods that make combat a bit more realistic, enemies less suicidal and so on. Yeah there's a few pronunciations people debate it back and forth, the stalker wiki says it comes from the Greek "nous" and sphere, I have some vague memory of someone in the game calling it the no - o - sphere in a cut scene but I could be completely wrong about that. People also argue that there is a difference between it in stalker and in real world philosophy where the concept exists too, tomatoes-tomatoes as far as I'm concerned :P

But you can still talk to sidorovich and get a task. The task is to get the next task. And then you can talk to Sidorovich to get the next task. And this repeats.
If this is true, Sidorovich can see in parallel universes.

Same just happened to me
Hip isn't invulnerable, she can die also, I mean before you recruit her ^_^
Just got here for the first time I wanted to see the options thanks mate!
If you don't mind cheating (it's for a video anyway so...), you can launch the game in debug mode, create a character from another faction, type "g_god on" in the console and just fast travel to somewhere around the wish granter room, that way you could have shown the last one
Ohhh yeah you're right I didn't know about that tnx. Didn't realize I could fast travel anywhere
I was kinda nervous after picking the wish for the zone to disappear, it did "disappear" and I thought it deleted my saves ;-; gladly it didnt
lmaoo same bro
Same thought bruh i have an heart attack when my game exit and I started to think that my save file disappeared too 😂
The latest patch changed Immortality
It now just makes you stronger and makes monolith not hate you
So you can now do a 100% everyone loves you Ecologist run where you use a disguise to max goodwill with Bandits and then wish for Immortality to max goodwill with the Monolith
Huh, good to know, didn't try any of the endings recently, cool ^^
so is it basically the “good ending” now
I was playing earlier today looking for the monolith control room and stumbled on the wish granter and for a few seconds forgot my true mission I went up talked to it then saw my options and backed away with ought wishing even knowing about the wish granter it still can lure you in 😂

Virgin wish granter vs chad debug menu
you know come to think of I'm surprised there's no option to "replay" soc in anomaly if that makes sense
Yeah but the whole idea of the mod is that it's a infinitely repeatable open world so "restarting" doesn't really matter unless it's one of the "main" quests. It's all set after the events of SOC. Plus I think there's legal issues.
yeah good point
Not sure if i glitched the game somehow but when i wish to become immortal, i teleport to the swamps like normal, but i retain all of my relations and i can still sprint as well as interact. I basically become immortal for free with no downsides
They might have changed it in the latest version, or it's some addon/mod you have that cause the bug, idk :)
Me to!
Imagine if there is a wish option to delete the wish granter
It would probably just make you blind and teleport you somewhere in the zone, like a radioactive lake or something :P (based on the out of sight out of mind saying) :)
Am I the only who had the " become immortal " option
I gotta say it's pretty cool I no more take damage
But why didn't you have that option ?
P.S: this choice caused some problems on strelok mission the one that he gives you all the answers you need so I had to load the last saved game which was before the immortality thing
And it worked just great
Then got the wish granter again and choosed the immortality again and also my realtion with the monolith fighters is maximal now :D
Yeah it seems like the only option that actually lets you keep playing so I like it :)
It's quite a brilliant reversal on the idea of gaming as wish fulfilment!

It's a pulse, it randomly appears outside, I think
I wished for immortality; but I'm still labeled as a Loner, max respect to the proper factions, sprinting around like a vegetable juice commercial, and chilling with the factions like a capybara. Did I do something wrong? Not in game error, as a person in general.
Update: if at the Sarcophagus for the Shard, the game WILL crash on a last question
Ah I mean right and wrong is difficult to determine in the zone, both morally and from a game error perspective :D
@@JuggernautSPQR game crashes when you get your answer after getting the Shard.
Also, i become friends..yes FRIENDS WITH 3000 POINTS OF REPUTATIONS!
After i go to the with immortal wish
My game crashes too after last question. How to fix it!?
Why did they create the wishgranter if their goal was to limit and control the zone? If supposedly everytime it's used, it in creases the zone by 5km?
@@JuggernautSPQR ah I see. Yeah that makes sense. I've played a little bit, not much though. Love the lore in the game
The controller thingy id rather don't use ...I use a mod wich multiplies the squads by 2000%
Is there a way to undo the wish,i thought it would be better in anomaly edition, turned out its worse than vanila.I chosed the control one,now my whole screen is full of controller、blood sucker、zombies, and most importantly, they respawn every 10 fking second. It would be good for lore and gaming experience if they respawn every 10 real-life minute, but now my save and gaming is totally ruined,(my back up saves too,i refresh them pretty often so they dont left behind the progress too much). help plz
Only way is to load back to a point before making the wish :(
Hi dude! i have a question, in this anomaly mod can do after ending play?
Yes totally, depending on which ending you choose that is. But anomaly doesn't have a "main" quest really. It has a few story quests depending on the faction you play as but the main focus is free roam, repeatable quests, exploration and etc.
Considering i watched the endings
The wish granter is literally a god tier troll
@@JuggernautSPQR thank YOU for the content - there are surprisingly small amount of videos about the Anomalie's wish granter 😅
And yeah it was really hard to pinpoint exact thing that caused crashes. Took more than a day. Like really - editing -> launching game -> crashing -> re-editing - launching -> crashing takes a lot of time and really makes your head hurt. On top of that - it's not even worth it. Seriously. At the point when you make it work all you can think is "Jeez I could just get those from debug mode..."
Thank you :)
You can go to the wish granter in anomaly? I just completed the living legend storyline and gave the crystal to strelok
Yeap, you can go at any time you want, it's not a part of any quest, I mean it is in the storyline but you don't need a quest to go there. It is considered the bad ending of the game though, as you could tell from the video ^^

It's a 20-30 minutes walk for a Loner, and then you can chill out while waiting for the helmet to be calibrated. You will also need to clear the Chernobyl by yourself, because final mission of LL questline gives you three useless NPCs that will get themselves killed and fail the mission.
