I’ve been using Wise Owl for almost two months. I really like it! But you should always mist your brush when painting with it. Makes a big difference. A bit pricey but good quality. I Started with Annie Sloan 10 years ago. It’s good, too. Gray Linen was my first WO color. The one hr enamel is beautiful! It goes on and dries like glass.
Collie Chronicles with LilyMae Doyle That’s what I learned as well, mist as you go. I wasn’t used to that but as you said it makes a HUGE difference. I tried the One Hour Enamel last summer and fell instantly in love! Who wouldn’t with no topcoat needed? That paint is amazing! I tried it in Abyss. Talk about a gorgeous color 😍
Do you like wise owl chalk paint better than Annie Sloan?
@@mascottie hmmm, good question. I think the colors in Annie Sloan are a bit more elegant and the stockists really know their product and love it, not just sell it. That makes me want to buy more, the friendly relationship and suggestions they give.

Awesome paint. I ordered and just received the same color!!!! Can I use GF top clear coat? And would you recommend for bathroom cabinet? Thanks
AWESOME TO HEAR! Is that clear coat water based? ONLY ONLY use water based topcoats over the paint. Otherwise it will turn yellow or an amber color.
I had a few issues… I had gobs on my project and had to remove asap. I kept water bottle handy too. But I sanded down slightly because I ended up with brush marks using Cling On F50 brush.
Hmmmm that's unfortunate. I didn't have any issues using this paint.

What stain did you use on the top of the chest and how did you seal it? Did you use wax to seal the wise owl paint on the chest?
I used General Finishes Gel Stain in Java and sealed with their gel poly topcoat. I used water based Polycrylic over the paint.
Can this paint be applied with a roller?
Brian & Donna Stempfle Hi there! Yes I’ve seen many people apply it with a foam roller especially on flat services like dresser drawers and coffee tables.

Jules Garcia I have only used the Wise Owl chalk paint along with a Cling On brush I have not tried a roller.

Quitie Mac It’s called a Cling On Brush. I love these brushes. They don’t shed and I don’t have brush marks in my finish. If you go above and look at this description for this video you will see a link to another video titled Cling On Brushes Hot or Not. I did a review on them.
