Is there anyone who knows why, after discontinuing/tapering/switching an SSRI antidepressant, there is a HORRIFIC awakening response (panic, dread, doom, suicidality, HR in the mid 100s to 200)? It is NOT related to original condition as it also happens in people who were on SSRIs for non psychiatric issues.
SSRIs are known to increase cortisol dramatically and then burn out the adrenals if used longer than a few months. So, cortisol is LOW (per many DUTCH w/ CAR and other tests) even though it sounds like high cortisol.
Is adrenaline released when cortisol is low?
Thousands of people have this horrific experience daily for YEARS and many don't survive it.
Do you have any physicians who review results?

I need to do some tests as I have health problems for 7 months or so. It was a big st ress initially, although I am constantly in stress state, and take anxiolityca. I am wondering what is happening with my cortisol and adrenals, as, my healthcare provider nothing can do more after giivng me one treatment with penicillin antibiotics, which are not helping me .I am with slow energy. I am 65 years.

What’s your thoughts on adrenal cortex for low morning cortisol? Nutrition sleep exercise dialed in.

Hi, came across your TH-cam channel while tryingvto research cortisol normal levels. I have all the symptoms of Adissons but my uk doctor doesn't think anything of my recent cortisol blood tests.
    9am - 128 nmo/L and another a week later of 250 nmo/L
Could you please adise if these are low and require further investigation?
I would be so grateful. Thank you.

How long does it take for cortisol to rise and normalize after being over medicated on Synthroid? In your interview with Mike Mutzel you said it could take 6 months or longer with prednisone. Should I expect about the same timeline with synthetic thyroid medication? Thanks!

Your cortisol won’t normalize with a T4 only medication. Synthroid is terrible … 🤦‍♀️

Synthroid is T4 only. You also need T3.

@@private9013So, what products do you consider safest? The animal products or Cytomel for T3?

Hello! I’m just reaching out for help, I’ve been trying to find a doctor that will take my Dutch test results seriously but I haven’t found one. I did look on the Dutch website but the two doctors I did find did nothing about it. If anybody knows a doctor who does virtual and will take my results seriously please let me know, I’m desperate for help.
