We walk throughout the Atlantis property checking out the Dig and shark pools.
Join us on a day trip to Pig Island and a 1/2 day trip to downtown Nassau. I also golfed at Ocean Club 18 hole golf course.

NASSAU
We took a 15 minute cab ride from the Atlantis to downtown Nassau. We had a great 1/2 day checking out Straw Market and the port shops.
Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas. It lies on the island of New Providence, with neighboring Paradise Island accessible via Nassau Harbor bridges. A popular cruise-ship stop, the city has a hilly landscape and is known for beaches as well as its offshore coral reefs, popular for diving and snorkeling. It retains many of its typical pastel-colored British colonial buildings, like the pink-hued Government House
PIG ISLAND
We got a private boat vs getting on one of the bigger over loaded boats that took us to one of the Pig Islands. There are several companies and a few different places to swim and feed the pigs.
We went with this company and had a great day. The cost wasn't that much more to have our own boat vs get on a bigger tour.

I stayed at the reef and was moved to the cove in sept 2008 because of a tropical storm called hanna and hurricane ike comming up behind it which didn’t end up hitting Nassau or the Bahamas . I live in the uk 🇬🇧 so couldn’t evacuate and as no flights even with connections .i virtually had the slides to myself . Since then I’ve been to the Atlantis in Dubai it’s very nice great slides but isn’t a patch on the Bahamas Atlantis original thanks for the memories Philip 🇬🇧

If you ever get a chance, Atlantis is a must see. We were there, stayed at Harbor Side too, in 2021 and going back again in June. It was absolutely amazing. Most unique experience at a resort and just thr most gorgeous country!

Great question, I’m not sure about coolers we brought beach bags with us for our day supplies
How do you get a taxi there?
Lots of taxis outside the Royal Resort. Actually all 5 hotels lobbies had cabs waiting. There was also the resort shuttle that was free. We got a cab from the hotel lobby and went to downtown Nassau and cost about 30 dollars.
