The best Paella I've ever eaten was in N Y city. It was so long ago, 1964 and on 5th Ave. I believe. I can't even put into words the taste of that dish. The same day, I had breakfast with an actor, I believe his name was Scott Brady. At the time he had a TV show named, Shotgun Slade. I was in the military at the time and he picked up my breakfast tab as well. He was a very nice person and had a party that night, at the hotel, don't recall the name and he invited myself and a friend. We were very well treated. A movie star of today would likely not do something similar for members of the armed forces. It's been a long time and I am sure he is no longer alive, but Thank You again, Scott Brady for being such a kind American.
Of the hundreds Paella recipes I saw, I like this one. No fuss no mess, no talks, building flavours layers by layers till its reaches a superb dish. Love it
Those two children are the best food critics I've seen on you tube. Thanks them and to their parents for raising them properly. Great paella recipe as well.
It's good that the chef didn't mind being filmed while cooking, showing us his recipes. Some good chefs are secretive! That paella looks damn goooood!!! ¡Muy bien!
This video is excellent ! +++ Really well done ! I like it so much. I'm gonna try it out. Thank you so much James for your video. It's a precious gift :-) Bye
Just made this Paella following his recipe exactly as he did it here. This is the best dish I have ever made. It is excellent!!! I used piquillos peppers, piementos, and red and green bell peppers. It turned out Amazing and the kitchen smells good too. It tastes out-of-this-world good!!!! I followed his recipe closely. Thank you Chef!! Thank you!!!
What an interesting video. Thank you for posting it. I am anxious to give this a try at home. In watching the preparation I couldn't help but notice how similar this is to Indian/Pakistani biryani. There are many videos of the biryani on You Tube also.
Muy pocas veces se ve un profesional de alimentos masivos exponiendo una verdadera obra de arte, felicitaciones usted tiene talento de sobra...!la mejor versión de una paella que allá visto.gracias por publicarlo.
It looks so good and "scrumptious " most definitely.. the kid is cute and it's good to see a traditional method of cooking paella. The chef made it looking so easy
Ok, I am a giant paella virgin! I have a 60cm paella pan, big charcoal BBQ, Bomba rice, squid, monk fish, prawns, mussels, beans, peppers, toms, garlic herbs etc, and 20 guests for lunch tomorrow. I have watched the video now it's pray for a nice sunny day and in at the deep end!
Looks spectacular. He knows the right amount of spices -- paprika, saffron, herbs, ect that makes quite a difference, and, I suspect the type of wine. Wish I were there -- my guess is he knows a lot that 3 star Michelin chefs do not. Reminds me of India and watching some chefs work who do the same thing over and over and become beyond perfection.
Loved the video. Short to the point but informative. When I saw it for the first time, made m2 very hungry. Off to the shops and bought the ingredients. Absolutely delish!!! Greetings from South Africa.
I made my first paella from this video and it was impressive, really amazing dish! Followed every instruction carefully, even added the saffron and added some clams too. I have eaten paella before but I think the one I made was the best so far, thank you!!!
we vacationed in Spain a few months ago and I learned how to make Paella. I purchased all the ingredients including that Brilliant Paella rice and it turned out fantastic. I made sure that I brought a few boxes of that rice and the Paella seasonings back home with us 😊. one thing, yes Saffron is expensive but I wouldn't skimp out of it. 😊
I was hoping you could pass a plate through my smartphone at the end of it. Nice job editing too.....seeing it made with the ingredients noted makes so much more sense to me...seeing is believing! Robert & Mette in America
Them kids been taught right...to love food for its natural flavor, not the processed shit we find everywhere these days!! This paella was made with REAL ingredients...every last one of them. Looked divine indeed!
Wow those kids ate the lot. Great kids. Not like mine who dont like the green touching the red touching the rice..I love one pot meals, now the kids have left home I can eat more of this beautiful cuisine!
Hard to understand why some people voted this video down. I think it is an excellent, if not the best depiction of what this iconic Spanish dish is all about. I really love how the boys devour the whole thing at the end. Awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing! Cheers, from Los Angeles, CA
Kids raised right! Not throwing a tantrum and asking for McDonalds. Actually embracing diverse foods at a young age. As a UK child I spent 2 weeks almost every summer in the Balearics for holidays 80's to 90's. My fondest memories were eating the fresh catch from the fishing trips we went on in the form of a monster paella. The pan was bigger than this one! Of course my brother hated it and wanted sausage and chips. I live in Texas now in my late 30's and taste the similarities of Spanish food eating Tex-Mex. But it never compares to those days.

The method was quick. Little boy at the end was gold! how cute

Any hotel that takes that much pride and care in making food is a hotel worth staying in. Congrats to the management and the Chef!
Anyone that cooks with that ease is a master and this is the technic I’ll follow. Others make it look complicated
