    Bought a z125 pro from Kawasaki with 24 miles on it for 3k delivered it gets a lot of use I bet this is about the same. Works well where I live. 40 yrs riding all bikes have a purpose it’s people who hate on them that bring about issues. Ride it for what it is

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      I haven't been able to try a z125 yet. Was curious about how it is since it only has 4 gears. Minimotos are really fun to ride, and absolutely all bikes have a purpose and a reason for being and should be treated as such. In my many years of riding, I've been lucky to try all different types, and I love them all. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I greatly appreciate it. Stay safe

    Dude, you don't buy a 125 cc for speed! Duh... 200 lbs?fyou want fast get something else. This is a great bike within its design parameters. Enough with the lack od speed. Totally adequate for its size.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      I agree with you and as I said in the end it is a great little city bike, quick run around town, a little farm bike or fun little commuter if you don't need to go faster than 45-50mph. I personally liked this bike a lot. That said I'm much heavier than the normal individual purchasing this bike so if you are lighter you will be able to get a bit more out of it than I would. Super light and put a smile on my face ultimately.

    If you're coming from big boy bikes the papios are definitely "slow as shit" but mini motos are so much fun to ride.... Specually in a group. But you'll be smiling the whole time.
    Also CF MOTO killed the style points on their 2024 PAPIOs

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      Lol yeah I would agree that these bikes are better in a group. Just a different experience. I suppose I could have been more pg in the video but true and honest feelings in the moment. Yeah it does look really good and so the the ss version. I think that addon screen you can get for the side is really cool. Stay safe

  • @fun2916

  • @Listener970

    Personally, that scrambler version of papio XO-1 is better looking. 125 cc might be enough for just some mild riding. Not enough power for uphill. But still good motorcycle. Hope they make it more mainstream.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      I think it looks better than the other version also. I sat on the SS and didn't like rider triangle. Personal preferences of course. Its a fun little bike and if I lived in the city or needed a farm bike it would be a good option. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your thoughts. I appreciate it. Stay safe

      The Grom and Papio are so close in specs that it really comes down to looks. If you are worried about service then dealer location would factory in as well but I'm a DIY guy so I personally would by the Papio also. lol Yeah I don't have much of a PG filter even though I do try. That said I start the camera and whatever I feel comes out. Thanks for taking the time to share your feelings and I'm glad you got to laugh abit. Stay safe

    Is there a small motorcycle that you would recommend that can handle hills? I've never had a motorcycle before and would like to start with something as small as possible but I live in an area with steep hills.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      All the Minibikes roughly the same in horsepower and torque so are going to be the same more or less when dealing with the hills. Can't really say anyone of them is better than the other. Grom, Papio, Z125 are all fun and will do what you need but having a little more torque may be recommended. Perhaps looking at the 300NK, any Royal Enfield 350, Rebel 300 might be a better option for you and your needs. All are very approachable and will have a little more torque to handle the steep hills and are under 5k msrp.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      The grom feels a little quicker when getting up to speed but since the papio has 6 gears it has a higher top speed. But to be honest its really close. Change the sprocket to adjust the gearing on either bike to achieve either a faster acceleration or higher top speed is personal preference. Both are great mini motos in my opinion

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      No question about it, yes. Nearly the same price also. The one thing would be the fact that you don't need a motorcycle license for the rukus. I'd actually love to film a rukus and other 50cc machines for the channel someday. Fortnine did a cool video on them. Little city bikes and scooters are practical and fun.

    • @budbundy5021

      @MotorcycleDemoRiders do you have to have a motorcycle license to ride a papio? I'm asking because I live in the mountains in Pennsylvania and there are alot of back roads here. I would think a papio or a ruckus would be just perfect here. I just don't think I would take either one on an interstate highway

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      Yeah since its above 50cc you need a motorcycle license. In Illinois people can get a class L for bikes below 150cc but i did a quick search for Pennsylvania and it looks like anything above 50cc is a motorcycle license. For what you are talking about then sure this would be a decent option. I was just thinking that if I needed a small farm bike this could be ok also. Hope this helps

  • @pauld.b7129

      In Australia we can’t buy Groms or Z125s anymore coz they don’t adhere to our Gvt standards of brakes, so less choice.
      The Papio and the Benelli TNT 125 are the options I’ve come across here in Aus

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      Learn something new everyday! That sucks for the minimotos but don't you all get the 150cc options in Australia? I'm curious because we don't get them in the US

    • @superwag634

      @@MotorcycleDemoRiderswe used the get the 150cc options in Australia. Now anything 126cc and over must have dual channel ABS (front and rear wheel in other words) and most scooters of 150-160 size do not have that. So now we only have 110-125 cc scooters as they’re permitted to have linked brakes (when you touch front brake, it automatically applies the rear brake too, and the opposite)
      Front wheel only abs like Grom had didn’t meet the rules so it is no longer sold new in Australia. But this papio is because it has abs both on front and rear wheel
