Please excuse my brain fart, I said Canton instead of Cooperstown. I will carry this shame with me forever. Also - Gil Hodges is not in the hall of fame, but he should be.
You kinda took foolish baseball’s format. Retro gaming, stat hypotheticals, more clever script. Interesting that you wouldn’t just commission him to make you videos.
MANCHESTER UNITED shawty like a melody in my head that I can’t get out got me singing like “na na na na” every day it’s like my iPod is stuck on replay
Cody may be better then his dad but his dad has something his sons team can't seem to get a hold of a world series ring. Even if he just jumped around the dugout after big plays he was still on the team lol
The Live Ball Era had started several years before Ty Cobb's feat when Babe Ruth's breakout transformed the game -- an approach that Cobb, a hitting purist, despised. His boast to the sportswriter was implying how beneath him the newfangled "power hitting" was. Meanwhile, fly balls being outs after being caught on a bounce hadn't been a thing since *1864* (1885 for foul balls).
Rewind Greece's EURO 2004 win. It will be a really interesting rewind because it is one of the greatest football miracles and you haven't done a football related video in a while
Did Shawn Green’s feat take place in 2012 or 2002? At 7:37 it says “May 23 2002” but when y’all show his stats at 7:38 it says (5 23 2012)... what’s good? 🤔
Question: How high do you have to hit a ball for a person to be able to run all around the bases? For an average runner and then the fastest runner? And if the person does successfully run around all the bases before someone catches it, does it count as a home-run because he finished running around all the bases?
That would be great but there's no one great moment in the game that they can rewind from. The whole game is an entire shitshow lol. A better moment would be Gotze's goal against Argentina in the final and then they can talk about that game during the rewind.
Mike Cameron nearly accomplished the 5 HR game. His last AB after 4 dingers he flied out deep on the warning track. Matt Williams had a 3 homer 2 deep warning track game.
The one hitting thing I won't get in the show I've gotten hat trick HRs, hit the cycle, even hit four, don't think no know I hit five hrs. Crazy though my guy has been over 100 twice and 80 my first year rare if at all hit square (power button) and this year on pace for over fifty or sixty. Going for every batter record though I am convinced the two that will never get broken is Rickey Hendersonville single season steal record at 130 and Billy Hamiltons Run record at 192 (1894 there was another guy with the same name look him up). I'm sure you could go for 99 speed and stealing and go for just singles, but you would have to steal second atleast once a game for 131 or less games. People forgot he set two records that year he had 130 steals, but got caught 60 or so times so every game he tried atleast once.
How much would it change if you added RBI for total-TOTAL bases! For example, Grand Slam = 4 bases for you + 3 bases for the guy on first, etc. 10 total bases for that AB
What about total team bases in a game? The MN Twins have had two 8-run homerun games this season and the A's & Mariners have had some 7-run homerun games I think.
Dude called Cooperstown Canton, and doesn’t know about one of the biggest Hall if Fame snubs in baseball history. How did this obviously casual sports fan get a job at SB Nation?
Yeah usually. Either the batter doubts how fast they are or the fielder doesn’t mess up on the play or if they do mess up their arm strength either permits the batter from running to third because they are afraid or they get thrown out.
wait i thought TB took into account bases you got after you reached. so like if you got a single and then someone drove you in on a triple that's still 4TB?

SB Nation I honesty thought it was on purpose, as a joke
Nice

You guys should make a series of videos like this called #highscore
SB Nation L
This is dope
The actual MLB
How do you guys only have 20 likes your literally the MLB
I thought the same thing lol
Hi mlb
holy cow
"In the 19th Century, stats were tracked in soot in the nearest child's face" LMAO
brilliant
Such a great line
MANCHESTER UNITED shawty like a melody in my head that I can’t get out got me singing like “na na na na” every day it’s like my iPod is stuck on replay
Some dude named Joseph Spadafino has more likes on a youtube video about baseball than the official MLB channel. Wild.
Now that I understand the intent of this series, the one I want is the evolution of "Most Penalties Minutes in a Hockey Season."
"A story for another time."
"A few weeks after Cameron's Shot Party..."
Oh I definitely see what you did there, and I love it.
6:01 “Adcock wasn’t Canton-bound”
well no one in this video is cause the baseball hall of fame is in Cooperstown
He litterly put a annotation saying Cooperstown and also has a whole paragraph written about saying how dumb he was for saying thay
BK Highlights but that wasn’t there when I commented this
This is such a great series. Following pointless stats (the kind we all love) that always have a great stories behind them.
Very disappointed you didn't mention my 5 home run game in MLB The Show 19. That was the record smh
I broke it with a 6 homer game with Judge in the show 19 lol
I had a 7 homer game with my created player in the show 15 so there's that too. Lol

What is this, a crossover episode?
I love this new series, very Foolish Baseball inspired.
I won't last long. It has copyright infringement all over it.

I know I clicked on an SB Nation video but for some reason I thought it was Foolish Baseball... weird.
Garrett York same here man
I love this series! What an interesting idea to cover
Oh look, Foolish, I mean SB Nation, has a new video up.
You guys should’ve added an honorable mention or some other short segment for the most total bases in extra innings regardless of number of at bats.
I love this guy. Always great commentary
Cody Bellinger has a similar swing to Shawn Green.
That was exactly what I thought when I first saw Bellinger. Hope his slim body could handle such powerful swing though.
They have the same body type also.
Cody may be better then his dad but his dad has something his sons team can't seem to get a hold of a world series ring. Even if he just jumped around the dugout after big plays he was still on the team lol
Not really
No mention of Matt Kemp on July 2, 2018 - 5 for 5, 4 runs, 4 RBIs, 18 total bases...AND he was pulled early and he missed an at bat.
Foolish Baseball has entered the chat
Wasn't really sure I liked this new series after last episode but Mike you really got me to like it. Good job!
Loving the High Score series and its production.
Shohei Ohtani sends his regards
These videos are so well made keep them coming!
Unfortunately, Gil Hodges isn’t in the Hall of Fame.
He has a bridge named after him in Brooklyn tho
I really like this series. Keep it up guys!

mike cameron was also hit by a pitch in that 4 HR game so it potentially robbed him of that 5th.
Mentions the mariners “but that’s a story for another time”. Here we are lads
Love the animation style in this video.
the production value of this video is really nice
Adcock might’ve visited the Pro Football HOF in Canton. Hodges too I suppose.
These SB videos are always high quality

Thanks for watching this episode of Baseball Bits, uhh, I mean High Score 😉
GREAT video!
Being a Canton man I was shocked to learn we have the Football AND the baseball hall of fame
Thimas Maroon: " SB Nation must have watched a lot of Foolish Baseball to make this video!"
Legend has it that Ty Cobb tried hitting home runs for his dislike of Babe Ruth
Hey you used my hometown newspaper for the Cameron quote. That's wild to me. A town of 50,000 on the map in a high score video.
That four homer game by Shawn green was against my brewers who I started following a year later.
There's a small mistake at 7:42. When it shows Shawn Green's stats from that day it says he hit his 4 HR game on 05.23.2012 when it was in 2002.
Someone should do "the creation of SB nation deserves a deep rewind"
Did Shawn Green’s feat take place in 2012 or 2002? At 7:37 it says “May 23 2002” but when y’all show his stats at 7:38 it says (5 23 2012)... what’s good? 🤔
2002, the guy screwed up his dates
Potential Idea for next baseball-themed episode of High Score: Longest Hitting/Home Run Drought or Longest Hitting/Home Run Streak
Shouldn't dead ball era players get a bit of a boost in this score list because the game was so pro-pitcher?
Foolish baseball did it first

Him and luis Gonzalez both had real good year out of nowhere. They're two of the guys people don't mention with roids but it was obvious
@@johnwray393 Not True. Green hit over 30 dongs 3 times before the 2002 season
7:39 says 5/23/2012 instead of 5/23/2002
I was at that Shawn Green game in Milwaukee...and we left before Green's last AB...CRAP!
Is there a tracked record for total bases that includes advancing on other players’ hits, errors, or steals?
Question: How high do you have to hit a ball for a person to be able to run all around the bases? For an average runner and then the fastest runner?
And if the person does successfully run around all the bases before someone catches it, does it count as a home-run because he finished running around all the bases?
No. If the ball is caught without touching the ground the batter is out and base runners must go back to the base they started on
@@nohbuddy1
Ahh ok, that makes sense. But now for anyone who can do this physics question =/
Can you please do a deep rewind on the 2014 world cup match between Brazil and Germany
That would be great but there's no one great moment in the game that they can rewind from. The whole game is an entire shitshow lol. A better moment would be Gotze's goal against Argentina in the final and then they can talk about that game during the rewind.
Well technically you're right, Joe Adcock wasn't "Canton bound". But then again neither were Gil Hodges or Lou Gehrig.
"A thing of beauty, but one followed by some REAL ugly times for that Mariners team."
That hurts like a Bill Bavasi trade.
I read this as he said it
Mike Cameron nearly accomplished the 5 HR game. His last AB after 4 dingers he flied out deep on the warning track. Matt Williams had a 3 homer 2 deep warning track game.
Does anyone know the song that played in the last 20 seconds of the video
SB rippin on Foolish Baseball again?!
The object of base collecting is to collect bases
yeah
Am I the only one who loves the new series
If it was in a day, that title would go to stan the man Musial, 5 HRs in one day.
That's quite a few, if that happened you could say it was ... PRETTY GOOD
Good video
"How many do you think there are?"
"...ten"
The one hitting thing I won't get in the show I've gotten hat trick HRs, hit the cycle, even hit four, don't think no know I hit five hrs. What if your team hit around every inning, and you hit a homerun every at bat. That’d be like 36 bases
Can we get a Foolish BB x SB Nation crossover episode at some point? Imagine how quality that vid would be

What about total team bases in a game? The MN Twins have had two 8-run homerun games this season and the A's & Mariners have had some 7-run homerun games I think.
Can we have an SB nation episode on the absolute ludicrously unlikely chance of scooter gennett's four homer game?
Dude called Cooperstown Canton, and doesn’t know about one of the biggest Hall if Fame snubs in baseball history. How did this obviously casual sports fan get a job at SB Nation?
Either 5 HR, or 7 Triples. Strange that nobody scored a triple in any of the total bases record.
thats what we call in the zone everything landing
By our the best
Petition to make walks count in total bases
At 7:38 it says 2012 instead of 2002
Any more Collapse?
Imagine being Ty Cobb and liking singles.
I don't play the game, is there a reason there are singles and doubles but no triples? Are they just risky to go for?
Yeah usually. Either the batter doubts how fast they are or the fielder doesn’t mess up on the play or if they do mess up their arm strength either permits the batter from running to third because they are afraid or they get thrown out.
You should do one about most hits in a hockey game
In my most recent OOTP save I had a guy smash 6 home runs... From 7 at-bats
After Mike Cameron hit four, he hit another homer, but it was just foul. It had the distance.
wait i thought TB took into account bases you got after you reached. so like if you got a single and then someone drove you in on a triple that's still 4TB?

Matt Carpenter had a 16 TB game last year
so who has the record for most total bases in a game including extra frames?
