Got me a 660 blue boy , also have 4 of the real ones . Blue boy in box till rainy day . Got my son the 372 blue boy . And he has had no problems with it . Always been a husky , jonsered guy . Loving the 2165. And 2172 ,great saws in my book . Finaly broke down got a 462cm . After 30 trees down with it . I’m thinking this is now my favorite saw . At 58 and 138 lbs .my 661 all day gets to my little hips and shoulder . The suspension in 462 is incredible . As for the blue boys ,put oem chain tensioner , better spikes . And if carb needs adjusting a lot . Buy the walbro or tillotson real carb for it and you should not have any issues . Can’t say it’s as good as stihl or husky , but price wise , with new carb and tensioner . For weekend guy it’s no brainer .its literally a third of the price from real. But it’s not quite a real one .
I've had a blue 372xp clone with a 52mm big bore kit for over 2 years now and well over 60gallon of fuel. No real issues. Pull cord broke (that happens on OEM too) Now I have 4 clone 372s and a real 372 as well People tend to hate these saws. But if you actually spend time with them. They ain't so bad I've had great success
@@zachgordon9531 I'm so glad to hear you say this - especially as all the others blurting "Yeah, I've got a blue one too...." demonstrate NO awareness at all of the issue. It's as if they haven't thought far enough ahead to see that the money they are paying goes straight to pay for Chinese hypersonic missile development and for more bribing of African countries to support China, and for more economic and military confidence for Xi. Yet all they can see is a cheap saw.
Identical to the name brand and literally can use their parts. Only bits I've heard to check if having issues been the coils and carb. Mainly coils by a ton. Oe coil replacement and tune it
Keep in mind, Gents. Apples to Apples. To look at efficiency and speed, you'd need to have the same bar, same chain, and ... same RPM ... for each saw, to have a direct comparison. 90 cc can pull more teeth through a piece of wood, but 75 cc could do it faster, if the RPM's were higher. Sorry, I'm a science guy. Thanks for the video, though. Nice to meet ya, Mitch!
Low end torque is a bigger factor than rpm. A slower saw with more low end torque will cut faster than a fast saw with little low end torque. Once that sharp chain bogs down the saw it doesn’t take much for a high torque motor to recover as where a fast motor with little torque will require backing off and cutting slower.
Two interesting points, wonder if a chain saw had a 2 speed trans or gear reduction providing more torque at a lower chain speed, what would be the results? Just food for thought
Love the videos!!! I bought a g660 over a month ago. It's working great so far . Knock on wood! Lol I really like it actually. I am a stihl guy but can't afford that big saw from stihl.
I feel like this is the saw you keep in your truck box of your pick up if you live in a rural area but go into town a lot. Or on your tractor/atv. Its good enough and big enough to do some unexpected work or clear a fallen tree off the road but cheap enough where if stolen or damaged you don't lose too much sleep over it.
It would be a great saw for cutting the arms and legs off of a thief people have to stop putting up with burglary and thievery and whoop the hell out of them sick and tired of a corrupt court system that makes money off the criminal and the victim gets nothing back how about you stop condoning corruption
Its the exact saw that you can buy from a pawn shop for 350 thats 20 years old but might have 1000 cords on it. Remember theyre comparing a NEW stihl to one designed in the 90s. If thats all you want a 150$ Poland is plenty.
Happy to help you out (💰) and I really love this channel,it covers all aspects of the tree removal process. Good luck to everyone that entered the raffle.

I have a G660 3rd generation that has about 6 tanks of gas through it. From the store it ran rich and I left it there for two tanks and leaned it some. It’s running strong on 24 to 30 inch rounds so far.
Looks like the Chiner saw did ok. I have an 046 Stihl that I've been running for 27 years. Starter ropes and clutches are the only thing it's ever needed, besides routine maintenance. It has thousands of hours on it. Still runs great and has 135 lbs of compression. I'll run it till she blows. Might buy a Chiner saw.

This comment is not relevant to the saw, but I wanted to say last year my m390 blew up and I replaced it with a m462-cm and immediately put WCS dogs and barkbox on it. After cutting with for a season I'm a customer for life. Gordy makes excellent products that actually perform as intended and described.
I picked up a g660 about 2 years ago for home use. I've not had a single issue with it. Always starts, runs well, hasn't failed me at all. My buddy got one and had some fuel leaks he needed to fix right away.

Mine 466 blow Cylinder gasket about 30 min from being brand new. Started the same way the idle kept getting higher and higher. Almost Seized the piston. Stock gasket was paper changed it to a stihl steel gasket. Runs like a champ now. I recommend changing the cylinder gasket. Before you write
The little bottle they come with is a mixing bottle. They work really well if you only need a bit of fuel or need to mix a richer or leaner mix for something specific. Edit as a stihl technician. I’ve seen brand new 462 500 and 390 blown up after a few hours.
I have a g444 (ms440 clone). I’ve probably cut 50+ cords of hardwoods and dropped some trees with it. I’ve had to replace the handle since it bent and the worm gear just broke (replaced with a Amazon no name). It almost keeps up with my ms462 with a 25” bar. And I don’t have to worry about a $1100+ saw bouncing around when I’m on my tractor.
Thanks for the fun video, and for *not* being yet another gear snob who labels these blue saws trash without even owning one. 👍 I got the G388 (038 mag clone) a couple of months ago. Besides an easy repair to the kill switch it's been great.
The ported 660 is just such a hot saw 😂😂😂. Just when i was like, man that thing’s doing good, then outcomes the 660. Terrible comparison but great to see the difference 😂. Love the vid
Really enjoyed the vid, I’ve considered one of the blue thunders for milling, and as a power pull power head. I haven’t done a lot of falling in recent years, so fun to see some techniques I never even knew about. Stay safe.
I have an old 066 stihl that still runs great . I wouldn't have any other kind . It works great for limbing , topping, bucking cutting down and just about anything you want to do.
I’ve said it before but I would really love a review on the 592 as well! I prefer your reviews because the saw actually gets used and worked instead of cutting a few cookies. Thanks for another great video - they keep getting better and better 😀
I bought a new Blue Max chainsaw (also chinese) off a neighbor several years ago for $120. He got 2 by accident but only paid for 1 and sold me the extra one. I rarely need to use a chainsaw so I wasn't too worried about it. Never had any issues with it. Still have it and it works. The saw in this video looks almost exactly like it, blue and all. Probably made by the same factory.
I have one of the 660s, and for the little I use it, works great. One thing I would say is to run it a little thicker on oil than a Stihl. The tolerances in the factories that produce these things is nowhere near as tight.
Guilty of threeson Best TH-cam channel out here. I have a Facebook group to discuss these saws and you don't get booted for mentioning other brand names or pointing out both the good and the bad. It's "Holzfforma Stihl Husqvarna chainsaw discussion"

My go to saw is an old 044 with a big bore kit, I will definitely check out these blue saws. I am also checking out West Coast Saws, Thanks. Stay Safe!!
Even though it wasn’t stock I was honestly surprised how well that saw held up, especially after attaching the 32” bar. A good chain on a shitty saw goes a long way.

Hey I’m in Wildland firefighting and we’ve been using and abusing the 592 Xp and the weight to power is impressive in my opinion the only problem we’ve had is recently it’s been having a slow leak of gas coming from the motor
I’ve waited all year for one and when they finally came I I told my dealer I’ll wait a few months to see what issues arise and let Husqvarna patch that up before I drop the money on one they fixed up issues on the 572 after the first release and I picked up one and had zero issues that were reported . I’m going to give it a few months and see on the 592 but man it was a nice saw you demo the other day

Pull cord broke (that happens on OEM too)
Now I have 4 clone 372s and a real 372 as well
People tend to hate these saws. But if you actually spend time with them. They ain't so bad
I've had great success
I have never used one, I know we don't make a saw in America dam shame. I just wish we didn't import from China so much, this is why I won't get one.

Man.. I'm sooo sorry for your loss... I'm gonna start watching this channel now... And forever
Had my eye on one these for a few months now, cool to see more content on TH-cam about these saws.
I’m in Shelton and from Michigan. I’ve been cutting wood my entire life and learned a few tricks!

I have a G660 3rd generation that has about 6 tanks of gas through it. From the store it ran rich and I left it there for two tanks and leaned it some. It’s running strong on 24 to 30 inch rounds so far.
I love watching these videos. I lived in Sequim from 2011 until about 10 months ago when I moved out to TN. Makes me home sick.

Was upset about the China neesians steeling from Stihl
So glad you mentioned legally purchasing the expired patents. How cool is that. I felt instantly better.

Or do a base gasket delete. Most of these have too much squish anyway
The little bottle they come with is a mixing bottle. They work really well if you only need a bit of fuel or need to mix a richer or leaner mix for something specific. Edit as a stihl technician. I’ve seen brand new 462 500 and 390 blown up after a few hours.
Oh man, such top quality content... thanks for taking the time to make itl!
I have the same saw. Rockin a 32" tsumara bar and stihl rs33 full house chain. I love it

Thanks for the fun video, and for *not* being yet another gear snob who labels these blue saws trash without even owning one. 👍 I got the G388 (038 mag clone) a couple of months ago. Besides an easy repair to the kill switch it's been great.
Agreed. Obviously for these guys it’s important to have top tier equipment but the average homeowner doesn’t need a $1,000 saw lol.

Always better off being safe ( the hollow tree ) I was thinking about buying one of those blue saws myself so this was a great video for me thank you.
I have one of the 660s, and for the little I use it, works great.
One thing I would say is to run it a little thicker on oil than a Stihl. The tolerances in the factories that produce these things is nowhere near as tight.
You can definitely tell Mitch has been behind a stump a few times. Great job guys!
You can tell he wont be behind to many more if he keeps ignoring basic safety.

This is the best bang for your buck! Cause out of all the saws this is the newest tech of the clones and big enuff to do anything. Stihl saw of this caliber is $1200
Just watching you two it's so informative. Really see some cool methods on falling. Like how you jab the blade in the back so it leaves a safety hold... then cut the back fully til it falls. One thing I didn't know is. Calling any chainsaw stock... never knew chainsaws can be beefed up so much and modded
That’s called a boring back cut.

Built a bunch of logging roads up there.
The only thing to replace on them is the decompression valve they arent as well made as the stihl ones and if they fall apart they put a beating on the piston

@@jimmylarge1148 in my experience they're light, vibration free, and reliable. But I've only used pruning, and mid-range. The companies I've worked for exclusively use the Poulan pruning saw in the tree. Never saw a Poulan with a long bar, for larger trees though.
