Tesla is the best car company ever! No gas stations, No oil changes, No smog check, No corrupt dealership, No catalytic converter and as fast as a $650,000 Lamborghini .
Proper servicing at 100,000 miles consist of refilling windshield washer fluid changing wiper blades checked mf air pressure in tires only!!
Isn’t Inventory building up. Consistent price cuts hitting residual value.
Those days of shady mechanics saying it’s done when it’s not those days of What Would You Do with Don Quiñonez morals will now go out the window and more AI then ever
…no customer service…and so on:))
Heavy on the no corrupt dealership one of my main reason for going EV and going Tesla, been a dodge ram guy most my adult life. Dealerships are horrible.
87% retention rate sounds accurate. I have a MYP I love it.
Two thoughts-I just bought my second Tesla and realized I’ll never return to an ICE. Just too much a hassle to return to filling stations, regular oil service, repairs and all the other problems. Secondly, the recent free month of Full Self Driving also has improved my car’s efficiency. I’m now averaging less than 240 watts per mile.
How much were you averaging before?
Tesla should have offered 0% interest rate instead of cutting prices which causes used Tesla prices collapsing and pissing off existing Tesla owners.
To be fair, it would have to be something that the banks they partner with for loans and leases agree to. Tesla themselves don’t have their own financing or lease programs.
Yup! Bought my m3 for 44k in 2023 now if I want to sell it I’ll be lucky to get $25,000
@@greenemultisport3919 same here.
@@ProXcaliberThey could have easily bought down the interest rate with the discount $$$ and not trashed the resale market. That said, cash buyers wouldn’t see the benefit. I don’t know what their ratio of cash vs. financed buyers is 🤔
Hi Ryan. My name is Marcin and I live in Poland. My son Tomek and I have been watching your videos on YT for almost four years. They became an inspiration to change the way we think about electric cars, and therefore we bought our first Tesla three years ago, and another one a year ago. After this time, we believe that it was a very good decision and it is largely thanks to you. Thank you for the good job you do popularizing electromobility. Since March 1, I have been crossing the USA by bicycle from the east to the west coast. I'm currently in Salt Lake City. I originally planned to go to Newport, Oregon, but due to poor weather in the north of the country, yesterday I decided to go south to California. Therefore, I have a request/question for you. My trip will last until the beginning of June, because I intend to cycle back from LA to New York, as from there I have a return flight to Poland on June 3. My son's fifteenth birthday is on June 2. I know how much joy and surprise it would be for him if I could send him a short video of you and I saying "Happy Birthday" to him on that day. As a fan of yours, he would be very surprised and delighted. That's why I'm asking if it's possible to meet you for a few minutes in Los Angeles when I get there and ask you about it? I will be grateful for your response. Best regards, Marcin.
We also waiting for new Model 3 Long Range RWD - will be best range Tesla has ever!
Imagine that people who live in Serbia can't buy Tesla. They forgot the land from which Nikola Tesla originated .
My 2023 Model Y Ling Range is a fantastic car for my needs. I do a little of country driving in Australia. There’s good charging in quite a few places but there absolutely needs to be more as the number of vehicles, and not just Tesla’s here, increase. In a mere ten months I’ve covered nearly forty thousand kilometres. That’s a largish amount. And there has not been any breakdowns so far. So clearly the Chinese build quality is good. It is a very quick, good handling vehicle that has a great audio system and a good charging system. I really do like it.
That is the model Y I've been wanting for a while. Single rear motor and around 350 miles range. Great content Ryan!
Rumor has it that the US MY RWD is actually LR which is software limited. Come on Tesla, let us unlock this pent-up range !
In regards to re-gen braking I love it, but if your driving in the snow and ice - turn it off, found this out first hand when we were going a snowy/icy overpass in the mountains I went to slow down and the re-gen braking enguagued and we found ourselves sideways sliding down this overpass. I applied power and our Model Y straightened out, not the way I wanted to learn about re-gen braking in the snow/ice.
I love regen on snowy and ice roads in Dakotas.
my new 2024 model 3 doesnt even have the option to turn off regen breaking
You gotta be more gentle with it and start stopping sooner but it does work.
@@pvic6959 our 2023 Y does have that option or it did I haven't checked in a while, Thanks for the comment - JJ
@@pvic6959funny how nobody realizes this. Teslas are getting shittier- functionalities are being turned off and the option to turn them back on require a payment now
You hear anything about the subscription fee for FSD? I went into my car’s menu yesterday and it says they’re charging $99 a month instead of $199.
Correct. Tesla posted that update yesterday on X.
yeah they dropped the fee $100
I still haven’t received my free trial. I have a 2023 model S. So I have a capable car
Wow, that good. I guess they want people to get it since it's so affordable.
@@Mr.CEO888 Pretty fun to use but it's still in Beta. I still wouldn't pay for it but you can tell in 5 to 10 years that the FSD tech will be good. I will probably get it when or if I get a new Tesla in 5 years from now.
All of these years and I am surprised that no one has done a story about the sales of used EVs and how the actual milage is not advertised. They advertise the same milage as new cars. This is misleading when purchasing a used EV since the battery degrades on a used EV,
What do u mean it resembles spaceX cabin seat?
futuristic space ship looking seats
Ryan FYI discount on inventory are already gone as of last night April 14th
Please make a video about the layoffs.
Is there anywhere where one kind find a roll out map for superchargers?
Yes, but unfortunately nobody is allowed to post them in the comments because it automatically gets removed by TH-cam. I would just suggest to search for it.
Almost 2 years with a 2022 Model Y in AUS and am somewhat happy - will jump ship to Rivian when they eventually arrive, as I want more of an adventure truck. Just hope they will come with V2H charging, so I can try to eliminate most/all of my power bills.
My pevs with Tesla have been:
-They dropped car price by 10K soon after purchasing - should at least have thrown us some free charging credit for the blow.
-Reseal to a door seal, boot motor replacement, wobbly rear mirror, and odd scratches to the windshield
Aside from that service/repairs have been very prompt.
I’m kinda curious why it isn’t available in the Netherlands tho
Eventually, I will trade in my current model Y to get a new Tesla
Does the wait for the new Y juniper model worth the wait ? Does the range will be greater ?
Model Y's are cheaper now.... IF you want the latest tech, I guess wait for the juniper but you can get the best value right now for the Model Y and prices are dropping like crazy plus the build and ride quality has improved compared to the 2022 models and older. It's not guaranteed yet the at the Juniper gets the Tax Credit because the new Model 3 doesn't.
Most likely the range will be greater if it follows the new model 3 path. You'll need to decide by 1/2025 between deep discount of 2024 model vs 2025... likely a $6k price difference from in-inventory vs MSRP for new Model Y.
No one will be able to tell you if the range will be greater. As for if it’s worth the wait, that is entirely up to you. You can wait for the Model Y Juniper if you really want the latest and greatest features like in the Model 3 and maybe even some small extras. Or you can take advantage of the current huge discounts for buy one right now. I believe you can get a new Model Y long range for well under 45k right now especially after you add in tax credits. However, if you wait till next year there is a chance the Model Y will go up in price and not qualify for any tax credit as the same happened this year with the Model 3 refresh.
@@ILoveCostcoPizza In Quebec, the model y as not drop. What à shame
Hope the long range rwd comes to the UK!
Thanks Ryan
Idk if I should get m3 RWD or AWD
That is entirely up to you and what your planned use for it will be. Just keep in mind that if you go for the long range, the recommended daily charge limit is 80% which gives you a useable range of around 270 miles. This is the same as the RWD useable range of 270 miles at 100% and it can be charged to 100% all the time without issue.
Go for the long range. Better sound, power from 2 motors. I want that option with regular 18in wheels.
Just waiting for the compleet new battery pack
Yes , we need it now !
It's a shame the AWD can't be configured to drive in RWD mode for extra mileage when you don't need the AWD.
I have a 23 MYP, but I wish it came with LFP battery. I do over 200 miles a day. I am a gig driver
Performance models need the older style NMC battery as the LFP battery cannot deliver enough power quickly enough for the performance motors, that is the main reason they only put them in the standard models (single motor means they never demand as much from the battery). If you want LFP, the base models are the way to go. Hope that helps.
You should definitely go with a standard range LFP model if that is the case. The LFP models have been shown to have much better battery health over its life so far than the NMC batteries which makes it great for gig drivers. What also makes it great for gig drivers is the fact that you can charge it to 100% constantly with no issue, compared to the NMC which should only be charged to 80% unless taking a trip.
90% of Model Y customers would choose RWD Long Range if they had the option
I'm waiting for the new Y
I would assume Iceland would necessarily require AWD
Only one reason to buy a Tesla. It's not the poorly made car. It's the ability to charge them.
Did they do that survey before or after removing the stalks. Everyone I with a Tesla (which is a lot) now says they won't buy any more Tesla's ... not unless they bring the stalks back.
The stalk is over rated, I remember when people said the same thing about moving the dimmer switch from the floor to the turn switch.
The stalks are the reason why i traded in my model 3 for a model y now. Juniper model y would surely be nice, but without stalks... no.
I would've sticked to the model 3 and the highland has some great features. Missing stalks isn't one of them
Why do they launch thing in other places first ?
Probably because they have newer factories and the markets are different.
Thanks for another great video!
Dang I really wanted the model 3 performance highland ughh
A megacharging station should have a name!!!! Can’t wait for a massive charging area!!
Interesting how the outlook has flipped. Used to be a Tesla Supercharger would be located preferably in areas offering conveniences, now it appears locating a Supercharger (the massive scale ones, that is…) will likely be the catalyst for emergence/growth of conveniences.
I Googled Yeehaw Junction to see where it ism and as the name suggests it's in the middle of nowhere. I have no idea why they would build a mega-charger there. It's not close to any of the Interstate Highways. I wonder if the location is a ruse and they plan to build it elswehere.
If they do the LR RWD model 3 I will buy it instantly
Ryan your info. Is some of the best ....keep it up!!!
Tesla has changed my life ,own a model 3 and myp/fsd cyber truck on the way 😊
We traded our Lexus and bought a Tesla model Y performance and we love it!!!!!
My next vehicle would be the model X !!!
This weekend I tested Mustang GT and Corvette Z06. Teslas are not perfect cars, but they make all other legacy cars feel outdated.
Newly sub here! Planning to switch from my current c class into the 2025 juniper ❤😊
Ryan: You seem skilled, what’s your Background?
Sometimes he mentions being a jazz musician. I think bass player.
Not sure if that is his main gig, but I think that is cool.
If the media says people are not ordering Teslas ,then why is my Model 3 RW with white interior keep getting pushed back? It's now a 3 month wait. Something doesn't make sense.
11:04 very Elon date to choose :D
Its a tougher sell in much of the EU. I rented a model y in France and took it to Germany though several country and charging was a nightmare. super chargers were way out of the way and made 4 hour drives into 8 hour drives
still waiting for that facelift model y
It’s so cheap to get into teslas rn, I got a 2018 long range m3 w/ 69k miles for 20,900 with the 4,000 credit , and I qualify for my socal Edison 4,000 rebate so it’ll be 16,900 for my m3
Not priced that low in New Jersey
Here in Australia the RWD model 3 goes for 62k 😢 that’s my biggest issue I have with EVs they are just so dam expensive! Even the MG4 what is by far the best cheap EV goes for 42k starting. For that price I could pick up a second hand Audi A7 or Audi TT and in my opinion both those cars are just as fun if not more than the MG4. I really hope EVs get alot cheaper soon 😅
Those are very different cars to cross-shop against a RWD Model 3, not to mention you're comparing a brand new EV price to a second hand Euro ICE car. I live in Melbourne, and recently bought a 3 yr old Model 3 LR (with acceleration boost and enhanced autopilot already installed) that had been lowered and had the 20" Uberturbines for $55k on the road, 40k on the odometer. It is far quicker, better balanced and more fun to drive than a number of Euros I have owned in the past. And the running costs are an absolute joke compared to what it would cost to keep an Audi on the road.
Skill issue.
@@raymonddsouza8948 I do like the idea of servicing being next to none and fuel being a lot cheaper! I just aren’t convinced the price of EVs are justified yet. If the Robotaxi tesla is showing off on the 8/8th is anything close to the price the rumours are saying then yes definitely worth it in my opinion!
Wow you guys can get the model y so much Cheaper than in uk we pay around £15000 more 😆
Tesla experience second to none ❤
I look for those Tesla retention numbers will drop when all EVs have the J3400 (NACS) charge port but not by much.
and as other EV makers prove their EV reliability and battery longevity. Tesla will need to speed up its improvement to compete with others in terms of safety (radar, rear cross traffic alert), comfort (improved suspension on next model Y) and reliability (rain-sensing wiper). Price is obviously another factor and Tesla would have edge over non-Chinese makers.
@@Trust_but_Verify Yes, there is room for improvement for Tesla in many ways.
As someone with a RWD Tesla, it's more capable than most FWD ICe vehicles with smart traction control. On slush and ice it drives very well at cautious speeds. The limitation of the 3 and Y are ride height, if you're dealing with a foot of snow in your drives you're better off with something with higher clearance.
I don’t really have much experience driving in the snow, but wouldn’t you want to avoid driving in a foot of snow if you can?
Took delivery of our 1st Tesla MY 2 weeks ago. Man its really the future of driving. The FSD is so good! (Not perfect) but i am more confident on the FSD than other drivers on the road!
I demo drove a Model S this week, and a Model 3 Highland last week. If the Model Y Juniper has all the improvements of the Highland, I do not see any compelling reason for the Model S.
I do believe the Model S will be getting a refresh as well soon but not sure when. It does however have air suspension, although it isn’t as drastic of a difference as one would expect
We want the revamp y
Tesla in the U.K. are in for a good old fashioned fight for sales. Plenty new EV’s available just as good and if not better in places and cheaper. Let’s see if they can make the next move with the model 2 that has to offer better bang per buck.
Charging for Tesla nonexistent in the Scottish highlands past Fort William, we need another at Ullapool at the very least, even a four or six stall in Durness.
Great news hope it doesn’t offer less equipment like audio system than the current long range model but I still think most people are waiting for that model Y refresh and sooner than 2025
A lot of those people might be in for a poor surprise if it just so happens the tax credit no longer applies to the Y after the refresh just like what happened to the refreshed 3. It might actually be more worth while to take advantage of the deep discounts right now than waiting for that refresh.
Tesla 100%
310 mi AWD vs 340 mi RWD at the same price? AWD all day long
You just had to read every country?
I'm more in the camp that want cheaper cooler looking model y still AWD.
and give me tan interior over that blinding white please.
awesome ride, not the best look for that money.
If you live in the snow dude, you want all wheel drive period
Got my second Tesla to my wife, traded in my Mazda.
Yes, TESLA is a great car.
Here is what would make me want to buy the model Y: range, at least 400 miles, price: 40K before the tax credit, features: all the updates of the new model 3, rear seats: flat folding seats.
For that price target and spec, a Chinese clone of Model Y... Your spec would be at $57k. Only in future years when the battery tech/price does come down then you'd see a 400 miles at that price..
@@Trust_but_Verify Chinese clone would be half the price, and yes, that's why people are moving east, greedflation in the US has no limits ;)
Why doesn't the revised Model 3 qualify for the Federal tax credit in 2024? Thank you.
The model 3 RWD and LR don’t qualify because of battery sourcing requirements, however, if they can keep the upcoming model 3 performance under $55k(not likely) it would qualify.
What will the major differences be with the new Juniper ? I feel like I should have waited instead of buying a 24 MY.
I’m in the same boat there are significant changes but I needed a car as I’d been without one for year and a half after my crash but with Tesla I’ve figured out that just close your eyes and buy when you need it 😂😂
@@glintrhmjhopefully you lease your MY. Used price ain’t gonna be pretty if you decide to get the Juniper next year or so.
I think you should have waited. It doesn't make any sense to buy now when the new one is around the corner. Can you return it?
My prediction is that it will have same changes as the highland model Y but new battery packs (shenxing LFP 2.0 and M3P).
That could translate to and increase of range by 10 -15%
Too late, just enjoy your vehicle for 5 years... the suspension would be improved.
You mention those who ordered white interior Model 3 getting delays between the order and “Delivery”! There has been NO white interior delivery in the US! Tesla keeps pushing back delivery dates with no explanation. Poor public relations.
I don’t care. I am waiting for the refreshed MYP to park next to my old (2023) MYP. (Until they make a RHD CT)
Wish I had been able to buy RWD LR
Thanks Ryan, you always have beautiful video. I like the model 3, but I’m thinking the model Y 🥰💕❤️
oh noooo!! new model y?? I JUST got my 2024 model 3... like yesterday. rip
Hey! I'm from Coalinga!
The reason why tesla is ahead of every other market is because they're a decade ahead of everyone else and they release amazing cars. Not everyone wants a car that can go 0-60 in 2 seconds and it's easy to learn.
GM, FORD, RAM, give huge discounts every year to clear the stock, right now some as much as 15k off so its nothing new in the industry, just makes front page when tesla does it.
I get sick of the hipe If they want to sell 25 percent more cars make range 500 miles with awd then it works every where cold hot rural city work play I have bought 2 teslas will not buy another until range works they could crush competition why do bare minimum
Oh buy the way Ryan you are great
They can’t increase battery size because then cost goes up. Just look at the Chevy Silverado EV or the Lucid Air. Both of those cars get between 430 and 470 miles of range with giant batteries but both also cost well over 100k.
The 3 Performance is cool. But no fog lights and the wheel choice is a shame. The outgoing wheels were way better. But it will be a great car.
With current 2024 model 3 LR AWD delivery dates (white interiors) set now in late June...the delivery of the 2024 performance will be (most likley) later than most are expecting. That would be the US. The European release I can't speak towards. Tesla in china seems to move faster. The price also is most likley over 55k making that model not qualify for any credit. We shall see.
Why white? It just seem to be more work in keeping it clean. Are you putting plastic over the seats?
No!! We prefer LFP batterie blade. Charging fast and long use without degradations!!
Then you lose the $7.5k tax credit if Tesla source the Blade battery from BYD.
@@jml9550 I’m in France so no taxe credit but I have 7000€ from government
@@sacharanc that’s good. All I am saying is adding range means adding weight with today’s battery technology. Cost increase which means price will increase. Are we as consumers willing to pay $20K more on a 600 miles range Tesla? This is really a question of diminishing return.
@@jml9550 I made my choice Blade batteries ;-). On my LFP batteries on my model 3 after 60000miles I have only 3.74% degradation and only fast charging (95% of the time )
@@sacharanc that’s a good choice, you can consistently charge it to 100%. The only issue with LFP is energy density, it is not as light or efficient as NMC, NCA. To me for everyday use LFP is perfect, though range is somewhat short for certain people.
I bet if they doubled the range they would double their sales
I don’t get this . This is such an old way of thinking, I have a y performance and have had zero range issues but charge at home. If you can’t charge at home I do not recommend any full EV.
And expect to keep the same price? Weight will be much heavier as well.
To quote James May of Top Gear "People don't have range anxiety, they have charging anxiety." Even people who fear that having less than 350 mile range for tripping is a problem, they're mistaken. What they actually fear is running low and sitting for an hour to charge or that the charging station will be full or not operation. These are mostly irrational fears due to fear of change. Even with my 270 mile range Model 3 I would much prefer to use it daily and rent a long range ICE car for a major road trip vs drive an ICE car daily. The savings in maintenance and fuel free up a ton of cash to drop on an occasional rental.
@@aleckermit exactly. He's correct.
You would have lost your bet. It's not possible with current battery density and pricing, increase price by 50% won't mean double the sale.
. . . and if using Optimus robots, Tesla could probably bring the installation time for a new supercharger station from 4 days, down to a day and a half.
It's the time for getting the site approved and adequate electricity wired there. 4 days isn't the bottleneck.
Screw these versions. Bring out juniper already. Model y is loosing their position in the market because it’s the most out dated car.
If they are launching in Europe now, it means we will get it really soon. Just need to be patient.

Problem with Tesla, no matter how cheap you buy it, you just can’t sell it back at a value… they are worthless like the used cellphones.
No stalks? No thanks. Ill keep my 2023 mylr.
Same boat lol
It's not that bad.
Yes, loss of indicator stalks one of the dumbest things Tesla has done. Seriously putting me off upgrading.
It’s overblown, really isn’t as bad as most people make it seem.
@@ProXcaliber i’m sure it isn’t. But a new LED strip and a screen in the back isn’t enough to make me give up my stocks lol.
💪🏽🤠🇺🇸
We don't get the good stuff cause, why????
Simply EV cars are Not environmentally friendly.
i beg you talk faster
Please no
So it's not a new Model Y then is it, it's a variant of an existing model...whatever to get the clicks I suppose 🖕🏼
This is the beginning of the "dark times" for Tesla. People love the cars, but are getting fed up with the company's policies, procedures, and quite frankly, their horseshit. The shine is off the coin, and people are seeing the company for what they truly are...awful. There are now a TON of alternatives to Tesla, and that's growing with each passing day. Sure, they're still going to sell cars, and make money, but not like they have the past 6-7 years.
Glad you're pitching in with your usual trolling comment. Nice job.
If you pick any other new car instead of Tesla, you scammed yourself
This is just false.
This is a complete fallacy and nothing more than a personal opinion.
Ripoff artist Musk promises 500 mi. range on CT and only delivers 340 but leaves battery pack half empty, what gives?
Best Guess: Battery production is likely still the bottle neck on manufacturing with the 4680 cells, so holding the longer range model back until battery production matches the rest of production.
