18:05 Learn more about how to lose weight fast!
Today we’re going to talk about how to lose belly fat fast. This video is part 2. Part 1 will give you the foundation you need to get started-if you haven’t seen it, check it out!
A quick recap of the main points from part 1 on how to burn belly fat fast:
    1. Eat your salad first
    2. Consume 3.5 oz to 8 oz of protein
    3. Increase your dietary fat until you’re adapted, and then lower it slightly
    4. Consume nutrients (electrolytes, sea salt, and B vitamins)
    5. Don’t deprive yourself (replace junk food with healthy alternatives)
How to burn belly fat fast (additional weight loss tips):
    6. Reduce your stress
The effect of chronic stress on the body is almost equivalent to consuming sugar.
    7. Have good sleeping habits
Poor sleep increases cortisol, which affects weight loss. You also burn the most fat while you’re sleeping.
    8. Manage your insulin levels
Insulin resistance makes it difficult to lose weight. Try consuming apple cider vinegar in water, consuming cinnamon, and taking chromium, vitamin D, potassium, and vitamin B.
    9. Exercise
Do a combination of anaerobic exercise and aerobic exercise. This means doing high-intensity exercises, like weight lifting, and low-intensity exercises, like walking.
    10. Do periodic prolonged fasting
With regular intermittent fasting (1 to 2 meals a day), try periodic prolonged fasting to boost weight loss and improve your health. Every two weeks, do a 48-hour fast. Eventually, you can do this once per week.

I’ve been experimenting a lot over the past 5 years. Taking bod pods and everything. I’ve heard you say that protein powder spoke insulin. The problem is I’m a body builder and I have to hit 180g of protein. I do Omad during the work week and I have to drink protein to help hit the macros. I put pb in my shakes. Does the extra fat negate that spike from the whey protein?

I wish to find out which electrolyte supplements are the good ones, how often to use them? Are there any ingredients that must be avoided? How much of the sea salt to use? I just want to be safe

I want to give hope to everyone. At 70, for about 2.5 years, I eat 90/95 % Keto(sorry Dr 😁) and 18/20 hour daily Intermittent Fasting. I've started OMAD at least once a week. I exercise an hour every day plus work as a lunch sup at Elementary school walking 2+ hours/5 days a week.
I never get on a scale and have lost at least 40 lbs which I can tell by my clothes. I feel better now than almost 40 years. On no meds and rarely have any hunger pains, ever.
I can do this the rest of my life and you can too. 🙏 💪 ❤
Edit: in 2019 I could barely move, my knees and hips were bad. Now, 100% better. It's all about what goes in our mouths and we need to move.

    1) get body into a state of ketosis - put olive 🫒 oil and vinegar on your salad 🥗 . 7-10 cups of salad per day.
    2) Protein
    3) dietary fat - add more fat to your diet. Fast as long as possible!
    4) nutrients-electrolytes and B Vitamins & sea 🌊salt.
    5) don’t deprive yourself of some pleasure
    6) reduce your stress!!-cortisol turns things into glucose. Avoid negative people and the news 📰
    7) sleep 🛌 (good sleeping habits)
    8) ❤of the problem is insulin resistance-tablespoon of ACV and some cinnamon. Chromium as a supplement.
    9) Exercise (anaerobic and aerobic exercises). Such as intense workouts at the gym where you will be sore at least 3 days. Rest until the soreness is gone /$; build up endurance.
    10) Fasting and intermittent fasting which is the extra magic 🪄 that ties everything together!
Key 🔑- don’t eat unless you are hungry 🤤

At around 6pm, I have dinner I always start with a green leafy salad, dinner usually consists of a piece of baked chicken, or some steamed salmon, steamed sweet potatoes (I know that the sweet potatoes are not recommended for Keto, but as I mentioned I follow a modified keto diet) I have steamed seasoned red cabbage along with the sweet potatoes, and that's dinner. Lost 43lbs just by starting IF. I Cut any fast food and all sugary drinks.
At home, I still ate whatever the fuuuuq I wanted. I'd cook tacos, wagyu burgers, steaks - just once a day.
Worked out like crazy, and could *not* drop below 200. _EVER._ I believe it was due to insulin resistance from a dirty diet.🤔
I cleaned *up* my diet, and now eat only lean meats(turkey, tuna), fruits, and veggies (with some treats to prevent going crazy). Lost another 60lbs!!🤯🤯
Got a mini 4 pack🤣workin on the other 2, and this last 10lbs😭
Realized how important diet is over fitness - about 80/20% Id say. Fitness should still be a goal, just don't need to be as 'hardcore' as most think..
I hardly work out like I used to and mainly just do HIIT.
    I'm in my late 30's, 6'3", 158lbs, and went from a size 40 to a 32.
Key is *education* and _execution._ All the information needed was online -FREE👍🖖

So glad I’m seeing this. I lost 20 lbs at the end of last year/beginning of this year. I started on a higher dose of progesterone and gained 12 lbs immediately. I cant seem to get the weight loss going but today was the first time I noticed I’m actually dropping weight. Slower than I want but the scale is moving. I really need to get back in track. I feel so much better when I weigh 120. Also quick response to something you said in the video. I have always been thin my whole life. At 38 is when I started to gain. My hormones and a very stressful situation occurred then my mom died two years later and that pushed my eating over the edge. So I know first hand how stress trauma can affect your health. I was 85 pounds overweight, but believed it was impossible to lose much weight if I couldn't exercise. Well, 1 day I was on TH-cam looking for a Bible Study, when I saw 1 of Dr. Berg's videos. I was BLOWN AWAY !! I watched his videos for about 2 weeks, to prepare me for my New Eating Plan. ( I don't believe it is a diet, since I want to adhere to this healthy way of eating and fasting.) Anyway, I've now LOST 75 POUNDS !!!!! It's easy, and I feel alot better. I only eat dinner, but drink celery juice and kale shakes in the daytime. I do take lots of supplements, almost all Dr. Berg's, because I trust him to have the best ones. Also since I feel VERY GRATEFUL that he put so many videos online, to help people like me. 1 more think, I am over 60 yrs old. Once again, THANK YOU, DR. BERG !!! 😊

I am so thankful for Dr. Berg's videos. I started Keto diet in mid-February this year. I was at 239 lbs the heaviest I had ever been and I needed to lose weight. I am 65 years old and pretty sedentary as I work at a desk 8+ hours daily. Since starting the diet I have lost 33 lbs and am staying on this until I lose another 20 to hit my goal of 186-187. I know I will get there following Dr. Berg's system. He is the best teacher for so many of our body functions

My viewpoint when it comes to food has completely changed. Its a superb feeling when you truly starts to understand how the body actually functions.
Note I'm 24 years old male and in a good shape in general but the benefits that fasting brings to one's brains is very beneficial for a college student lol :) + it has helped with my acne a lot too while shedding belly fat 👌!

      @@gavindoyle1364 hello,
By starving do you mean by the feeling of constant hunger? If so then no im not starving I do feel hungry though few times a day but that's all and it's good to know that hungry feeling is just a temporary signal that your body sends to remind you that "hey you haven't eaten for a while you should eat something". And that feeling goes away very quickly.
And I have sufficient amount of fat to fuel my energy levels to live my daily life (I'm 72-73kg so around 144 pounds).
As long as you take vitamins and salt and electrolytes your body will work normally 🙂
Naturally my body is self eating itself (fat) (autophagy) which in a literal sense could be said to be state of starving though in a modern society.

Love your videos Dr Berg. Always very clear and in laymans terms so easy to understand. Lovely melodic voice too (a bonus). Had weight issues all my life and have always hated eating in the evenings. Love fasting and I eat two meals breakfast and lunch/dinner between 9-3pm then fast till following day. Have lost 40 lbs so far and feel amazing!!! Energy levels high, sleeping well, skin and hair looks great. Soooo many great side effects of intermittent fasting and something I feel that I can do lifelong now. Perhaps you could do a video on what to do on holidays etc. as that is the only time I have found IF difficult as social eating with friends/family etc. is difficult to do if, like me, you like to have an eating window earlier in the day. I changed my eating window on a recent vacation to skip breakfast but found my stomach upset overnight, constant gurgling etc. Felt so much better when I got home and returned to my regular fasting schedule. Xmas is coming and I know I won't be able to fast?? Any ideas. Sure alot of people will face the same issues. It's the one thing I don't enjoy about IF. It isn't very socially acceptable.

Lol! I hear you! So I try to get out alone at least once a week, away from my responsibilities so I destress. Grocery shopping is enjoyable when I have lots of time and I don't have to talk to anyone haha! I get myself a treat (usually afternoon or evening so it fits with IF or OMAD) and maybe go to the craft/sewing store, go clothes shopping or window shopping, or meet up with a mom friend for dinner or a walk or tea, anything that doesn't require me to get stuff done on a time schedule or be responsible for my kids. It's a break and knowing I get that regularly really helps.
I used to trade babysitting with my sister when my kids were young. My husband makes it easy for me to get out of the house on weekends or when he works from home so I feel like I have options for refreshing and relaxing but when my kids were tiny it was so hard to get away because I felt guilty. Start your day with light cardio, like a 30-minute walk or (stationary or other) bike ride. This burns off morning cortisol, making you less anxious to eat, particularly in the context of time-restricted eating. If you do early TRE (and I don't), maybe an evening walk will do the same for you.
If you fast excessively, you're going to have to eat high protein between fasts, or you'll be sorry. It's not all about energy.

Body fat is a huge issue on my dad's side of the family and because of this I easily put on belly fat, and so fasting works best for me. One meal a day with protein and healthy fats, no snacking before or after plus some exercise such as walking. Feel and look great.

Dr, you are heaven sent, so far you have helped me with these videos on three different issues. Thank you! Please keep making these videos.

Here are the things that the Dr talked about that I started doing and saw a improvement. My back issue, my acid reflux and the value of cod liver oil. These three videos on the matter has helped me improve my health. The minerals and vitamins essential for the body is another example.

For me personally, I get IBS issues with massive bloating and burps/air if I don't eat on a regular schedule. So much it's incapacitating, so for me fasting doesn't seem to be an option. However eating keto is working, when I do it.

I just want to note that balsamic is almost always _very_ carb heavy. I get the lowest carb balsamic I can find, and I cut it with ACV and stevia / monkfruit.
"7 or 10 cups" of salad (presumably mostly greens) does not cut it as a metric. Mass (g) or weight (oz) should be the specifier.
As for protein, you don't have to eat chicken fat (chicken fat is notoriously bad fat, unless you're buying ridiculously expensive chicken.) I personally rarely eat chicken or pork any more for that reason, but you can eat adulterated lean meats. For example, you can marinate or sous vide chicken breast in extra virgin olive oil, and it's both delicious and appropriately inclusive of healthy fat. You can do the same thing with lean chops.
Beware fish packed in oil. It's usually seed oil, and if it says it's olive oil, it's often not.

I an so angry against doctors, society and malicious perverse society (blaming you for the effects of habits they pushed (or forced) you to adopt. I was taught during YEARS to do the exact opposite thing that should be. This doctor is a must : clear, competent, informative, compassionate. He is my Christmas gift ! He will change my life. Very angry against my native country. Grrrr 😡

This guy is a genius. I watched most of Berg’s videos and already lost 10+ and feel energetic all day long. And I went COLD turkey on sugar and beer 9 days ago.
I actually look forward to waking up to coffee with butter CEYLON cinnamon unsweetened cacao MCT oil. Its like a drug concoction that feels like Modifinal, but with appetite suppression until 4.

Thank you so much for your channel, you are only channel that gets straight to the point in spelling out the solution instead of spending the whole video on describing the issue. Perfect! So much appreciated! Been taking your adrenal cortisol formula and it has been wonderful in giving me a full night's sleep! Thank you!

Dr Berg, I am an 67 year old woman, height 5 ft 7 inches. I weighed well over 220 on September 10th, 2022 when the doctor told me, I'm (pre) diabetic, and that I must loose weight. He wanted to put me on injections to loose weight. I asked him for one month and see how I'm doing on my own without the injections.
Today , October 25, 2022, I weighed myself and I'm 190. This is the first time in years that I am below 200 pounds. I am doing healthy keto and I.F. 19/5. I started out with 18/6. I am not hungry at all. I feel great! My osteoarthritis symptoms have decreased dramatically, I have less aching and less difficulty walking!!!! My goal is to do OMAD, but I am being cautious about pushing myself too much. My weight when I got married was 130 (25 years ago), I'm not sure how much I can loose or if I will ever get back to that weight again. All I know is that this works and I am really excited by my new look and that I can fit into jeans that haven't seen the light of day in forever!!! I want to lose another 40 pounds for sure!! Re keto, I struggle with getting enough fat into my meals and worry if i am still in ketosis. But I remember something you said in a video, that if yr not hungry, then yr in ketosis. I am extremely happy with my success. Thank you so much! 💓 you are a God Send to me.

I think Cortisol might be my current hurdle. For the last four months it was relatively easy for me to remain above a 2.8 level of Ketosis. Usually averaging 3.6-3.8 and as high as 6 on fasting days. Recently however, my blood glucose remains in the +140mg/dl and my keytones have dropped to 1.0. Yet I haven't had any carbs. Literally been eating Bacon & Eggs. But I have been experiencing lots of stress.

Ketosis breaks about every 40 days. Consult your dietician/physician if you have one about what you can eat in the bridge to the next cycle. I generally hear people calling it a cheat meal(not cheat day).

I was looing for some more tips on how to keep this going. Weight loss is awesome on OMAD high fat low carb. i still have some carbs but low glycemic ones. Fermented everything. Lots of kale lately has jump started the mood and weight is coming off some more. 40 pounds 4 months. LOVE YOU BERG
Please if you are skeptical, try all the things he says, dabble in it. I went full bore and it worked. Dr feng too for some of the hormone science and ways to do fasting. But the nutrition is what helped me. i was never supplement guy, and now I'm not. Just find the right ones that make a difference.

Thank you Dr Berg. I'm learning a lot and your explanation is so easy to absorb and what you say also makes sense. Some of it is hard to hear as it means not eating the bad foods that were, in the short term, pleasurable. But I'm on my 3rd attempt at a sustainable Keto diet and I feel a great deal better, physically and particularly mentally/cognitively. It's really quite striking. I am more determined than with my other attempts and the 'learning' from your videos actually feels like support, encouragement. At no point do judge the viewer or condescend. This makes it so much more viewable. Thank you.

Thank you for this. I did have a bit of crappy sleep the other day coming off of a 48 hour fast and noticed some weight gain. It’s gone down a bit but this video helps me to understand what went wrong. It wasn’t a lot of weight, but I noticed. I have added more nuts to my diet recently too though, and I had eaten a lot of them the day the fast ended. I appreciate this timely insight.
