    Hey!
    I just tried the F6 plus on my Canon M50 Mark II but I don’t have access to the camera settings on the F6 Plus monitor (such as dual pixal autofocus, ISO, f/ etc … all the Q menu basically)
    Fonctions I usually can access with the touch screen on my M50 Mark II.
    Is there something I can do?
    Or is there a way to have both screens in power so I can access them both, since when I'm powering the F6Plus my camera's screen turns black.
    Thanks !

    Hi, I updated my Feelworld F6 Plus firmware (type C) to version 2.5.1 and the image was a mess. Now I can't go back to the previous version and I can't use the monitor. What can I do??? (I'm from Brazil, sorry for the English, translated by Google)

      I had the same problem after upgrading the firmware. I emailed Feelworld support and they sent me a fresh copy of the firmware file. They suggested I re-format the SD card, copy the fresh firmware file to the card, insert the card into the F6 Plus and hold down the power button for about 1 minute until the power indicator flashes red. Then release the power button and wait until the indicator stops flashing (about 5 minutes). Then remove the SD card and press the power button for a few seconds to start normally. It worked for me.

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally still use it outdoors unless it's really challenging light. Even with brighter monitors, glare can be an issue until you really get up there in brightness. Oftentimes I'd prefer to save on battery life though. The ease of use with this can be a big pro as well. Can't win them all at this price haha.

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I think I would, unless you plan to use something like a wireless receiver on the back of the monitor. The pass through NP-F battery on the F5 Pro is the biggest selling point, but generally speaking the F6 Plus is a better, more full featured monitor.

    awesome video mate, just a quick question - does this monitor supports 1080p with 100fps or 120fps as video input? Specs on amazon shows max frame rate is only 60fps. I've got sony a7iii and if I want to shoot a slowmo I have to use 100fps in 1080p. cheers

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! You're right it maxes out at 60 for the HDMI input but you can record in higher frame rates and resolutions while still outputting a lower frame rate through the HDMI so it works with the monitor. If the HDMI settings are on auto it should automatically work out :)

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! It's definitely not going to be my first choice on a sunny day, the same as any other ~500 nit monitor. But, with a sun shade it could work if it's all you have. The problem with sun is that glare can sometimes cause problems that a bright monitor can't fix either. But, Feelworld does have a new monitor called the Lut7 I think which is very similar to this, larger and brighter. For a bright 5" monitor, the Portkeys BM5 has been great, but I'd also strongly consider something from OSEE ...their 7 inch 3000 nit monitors are pretty lightweight I think and just dropped in price. I use a few of their monitors and I've been very very happy with them.

      Hi! Unfortunately it seems like that's an issue with the M50, and not the monitor. I've never used it myself so not sure if there's much of a workaround except using headphones from the camera itself to monitor your audio.

    Scott, very nice video. I have this monitor I used basically to see my image better. I have no idea what all the features mean. For example, what does the vector setting mean? Why or when would I use it? Wave form? LUT? Parade? False color? Would you consider doing videos explaining each of these features? I have been searching for these answers with no success. They are mentioned with the comment usually being “this is helpful” or “nice feature.” Thanks. Keep up the good work!

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks so much. And great idea for the video- I will absolutely add it into my to-do list :) In short- I don't personally use vectors much on a monitor- only in post to check color accuracy and saturation levels. A waveform is an exposure guide, like a histogram. LUTs will help to show you accurate color if you're shooting in a flat/low contrast LOG profile on your camera. Parade is a type of waveform which shows the 3 primary color exposures separately - sometimes useful to make sure you don't clip highlights when you have very strong levels of a particular color or even to make sure your colors are balanced for checking white balance. False color is yet another exposure tool to check how bright things are in your frame- since it can sometimes be hard to judge with your eyes alone. Each definitely something that could be shown better in a video though, so I appreciate the idea :)
      Thanks again!
