@@dylanschmeichel2008 you have to be stupidly precise for that. dodging in the exact 2 frames per combo will prevent any damage. It's just easier to summon a mimic tear and spam bleed/frost in her so her poise breaks and the combo cancels.
@@dylanschmeichel2008 bloodhound dash make this more easy for me at least. He gave it on his katana, but he prefer pull out a big shield, but still title his video 'dual katana vs Malenia lol

After switching to the katanas and Bloodhound Step the fight actually felt much more manageable, and I actually had a fun enough time that I went on to help a bunch of co-op fights as well.
i used bloodhound step for this fight instead to get away from this combo. You bloodhound step backwards and then to the right. Its ridiculous because the combo can still catch you at the end if you arent watching your distance even with Bloodhound step..
I learned this lesson back in dark souls one thanks to that annoying Manus combo where I need to use havel shield and armor set just to survive that shit

Really varies and depends on the boss / whatever your playstyle is! thats the beauty of these games is theres a lot of customization and builds you can shoot for, if you tend to like faster paced gameplay shoot for a dex build, if you like shooting metoers at people try a magic build, if you like slappin shit with big ass hunks of metal then go for it! theyre all pretty viable imo (Although blood damage tends to be pretty effective from what ive seen)

Man what is the stat allocation? I switched from STR to DEX after killing her and +10'd Malenias wep and the dmg doesn't seem anywhere near as high as these uchis

Killed her in like 8 attempts, I used Sword of night and flame +10 and mimic tear +10, get her to fight the mimic and blast her with night ability, i also used magic boost potion before
After a couple of hours trying, i finally realized i could never beat her. So i used Cheat Engine to put myself in god mode and finish the fight. Then i found she healed herself every time she hits me. That was a fucking long day.
get bloodhound's step. it gives you enough s to dodge the first flurry. if you can't put it on your weapon then put it on a dagger and swap to it when she leaps in the air. If she starts up the attack while you're directly under her just stay there as running away is going to make dodging harder, just bloodhound step as soon as she dashes. If you already have a bit of distance then sprint away and bloodhound step when she starts flying at you.
@@konstantinkachanovsky2960 She will follow you to the edge of the arena if you run away... she drops right next to you regardless of distance learned that after enough tries I got lucky and she only used it on my mimic when I beat her.
@@TactlessGuy It is bad design though. You should be able to avoid every attack in the game just by rolling, jumping, or running. Ive never had to resort to turtling to be 100% safe from a certain attack in any other souls game. When avoiding her attack without a shield has a luck factor, thats not good design. Getting hit by one of those flurries at the start is basically guaranteed death. If that one attack was removed, I think this couldve been a perfect fight, the lady maria of elden ring.

I can’t wield great shields so after dying to it 500 times I realized you can roll the opposite direction that she’s attacking and completely miss it

This boss felt like a Sekiro boss put in dark souls. You can make a hard boss be fun to fight, this is not the way fromsoft.
Very nice have you figured out a reliable way to dodge the weapon art without a shield? Outside of stagger and just dps her down before she can use it
just use the ashe of war that makes you dash, timing still tight but its not very hard
run away from first spin (you'll need to keep your spacing so you have time), dodge into second spin, sidestep the third.
Beautiful job i beat her with bloodhounds fang but it definitely wasn't a no hit. Are you medium rolling? I would assume so with the shield.

i used the river of blood katana and serpented katana to beat her.. river of blood is really good for blood loss

I used Uchigata and Moonveil , you can also get Rivers of blood. Completed the game with them , they are awesome.
