Hello Dave and Camera Lady. I hope this finds you well. I do love 💕 a feeding video and it is even better when you have my favorite Metallica as part of it. 😊 I just can’t get past those blue legs with those yellow patches. I may have to make one if those. I know you are thrilled with the youngsters that are just starting their passion for the hobby but some of us old folks are new to the passion as well. Some of us definitely older than others! 👵🏻😅I am still pleased to have found your channel. I am very careful about what I watch. I can’t stand those channels that fight their spiders with each other or against other insects. 😡It is just cruel. 🥺You two, however, are a joy. Please keep doing what you do and we will keep watching. Take care of each other and stay safe. Good night!

Hey Dave, I've seen this interesting collection and I just love watching them.
You would be proud of me Dave. Today as I was heading out my backdoor to do some chores around the yard I watched a little bug go walking across my dining room table. It didn't look familiar, but after getting a closer look I found a different kind of spider than I am used to seeing around the Austin Texas area.
He was a handsome little fellow and he stopped walking away from me, turned around and started watching me, I think, but we stood there looking at each other for a short time at which time I put a piece of paper over him to give him a place to hide.
He was under there a few hours later, but when I came inside he skedaddled to wherever he lives but didn't leave a trace.
Like I say, he was a handsome fellow so I named him Dave.
I just wanted you to know that you have now a progeny that you can look forward to seeing at some point in time.
    Basically a grandspider !!!
They really are majestic little creatures and our world is better with them in it.
Thanks for putting up such great videos.

Exactly the same with my reptiles, Dave... I only feed them when they show signs of wanting to be fed (counts fingers). Some of my 'charges' get fed once a week... others up to a month. It all depends on their appetites, and whether they're in the process of shedding or not.
Oh.... and a BIIIIIIIIG shout-out to AMELIA, too !

It's very true with bigger prey and the danger to the spider. I've seen a feeding video long time ago, where a mouse was given. It manged to bite and wound the spider fighting for its life 😔

One of the most common questions I get from people is how often should they feed their mantis - when they need it. I also don't believe in feeding on a particular day, if you know your invert then you know by looking their abdomen when it is dinner time.

Absolutely correct. I've watched my spiders how they behaved when they were hungry and when they got food. So in my opinion, they will show when they are hungry. A little bit difficult to discribe but you feel it, you simply see that. Don't know to discribe better but I think all creepers know what I try to say :-)

I love this. I always felt bad about feeding by spider size/activity/etc because it's not a schedule like a lot of people have. Seems to make them come out more for sure, and most of mine have learned to come up to the front of the enclosure to wait for food so when I look over and they are looking back I know it's food time.

What an entertaining video. I was totally mesmerized. One spider more beautiful than the other. My favorite feeding was the first one. She was really hanging on! You and Camera Lady are amazing. I'm curious - do you ever get an escapee in the other part of your house? Thank you again for sharing your wealth of knowledge. Happy Thursday to you and Camera Lady.
