    These videos are so fascinating - even seeing a failed egg sac - which incredibly, was the third from one pairing - is so interesting.
    I'm curious - if you had left that infertile sac with Mama spider, would she eventually have eaten - or just discarded it? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
    The furry spiderlings are so cute - how lively they are! Anyone who looks at the contents of those pots without wonder, and isn't astounded at the miracle of life, well, they just don't get it!
    Thanks for sharing your impressive knowledge and sound judgement, through your fantastic TH-cam channel Dave. Your animal husbandry is second to none - which is precisely why you have such a high success rate with the breeding programmes. Your expertise is matched by an ongoing curiosity. Observing the spiders' behaviours, you're constantly open to learning new things from them. That is the mark of a true expert.
    Any lucky spider who winds up in The Beastie Room. has landed on all 8 feet! I'm so glad you are educating others in the hobby to adopt your calm, kind approach with these amazing creatures.
    Love and warmest regards to you and fabulous Camera Lady, from fans in Gloucestershire. XXX 🌹🌹🌹

    I know I have asked so many times if you can do updates and you have always said you will try your best and now this is the second video in a row where we have seen the huge change they make in such a short amount of time! Hi Dave and Camera Lady 💙💕🕷️hope you’re both doing well and enjoying your Thursday.
    Thanks for another brilliant video from the Beastie Room!
    It’s a shame about the 3rd Egg Sac being infertile, Camera Lady gave a wee “Aww” too when you said that it was just eggs. But Mummy Spider looked really well and still in good shape 😊
    Thank you for showing us the slings you’ve got in the nursery pots again too, they’ve grown so much since the last time we saw them.
    Take care and have a great weekend 💙💕🕷️😘xxx

    Hello Dave and Camera Lady, from Colorado this week! ⛰️⛰️Even while on holiday I have to get my beastie room fix. We are visiting my elderly mother for a week, in Colorado. 👵🏻👵🏻
    I found this very interesting about the multiple sacs. I would guess that she can only keep so much sperm from one pairing. By the time she gets to her 3rd egg sac she must have used up her reserve. It is still pretty amazing that she could produce 2 much less 3!
    Thank you again for the baby update! They are at my most favorite stage. All fuzzy and cute! It has been lovely seeing the follow up with these babies. I am really enjoying the new format. I hope your move is going well. We are all moved in to our new house but boy do we have our work cut out for us. I’m off to sleep so I can enjoy the rest of my vacation. Take care of each other, stay safe and good night! 🖤♥️💛🖤🖤

    I'm kind of inclined towards your theory. Survival of the fittest is just the way of nature. In captivity we raise all the albinos/cool morphs which wouldn't last a day in the wild, just to enjoy the sight of it. However it's probably more difficult to judge with Ts than with other pets, as they usually don't exhibit clear signs of their weakness. I don't think size or any obvious measurable character can be used as a peg for which T is the fittest. But glad you brought this conversation up!
    Cheers Dave & Camera Lady! ✌

    What you said about captive bread spiders are more likely to live rather than in the wild. But, remember captive bread T's are good. It helps the numbers in captive bread situations, so less are taken out of the wild.which is very a good thing for sure. Less are taken out of the wild in their native countries ❤❤❤❤❤❤

    • @jackdavidson2484
      @jackdavidson2484 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      no one is certain, but the leading theory is that they are simply yet to develop sight (not that they will get much of it! ) and are reacting to touch (including air currents) similar to adult T’s., and therefore are just reacting to the others reactions, working as a whole to the human eye; this surely doubles as a defensive behavior/ mechanism to larger predators
