    Omg you made this SO SIMPLE!!! I feel like EVERY other tutorial the person Starts talking about all the different loops inside of the stitch and keeps turning the foundation around and saying look for this loop now look for this one and so on and all they needed to do was point to the two loopS at the bottom and say PUT HOOK HERE!!! Omg I can’t believe it was THAT SIMPLE!!!! You are so awesome thanks for breaking it down so simply!

      People have a habit of over complicating things when trying to be helpful and it sometimes ends up being the opposite. I find that just getting straight to the point has been the best way for me to explain anything.

      @CK I agree that slow motion can help when doing stitches for the first time (as I am usually tangling myself up instead of crocheting...) so I change the playback speed to something under 1.0x. I'm usually on the TH-cam phone app so the playback speed is located in the upper right hand corner in the "settings gear" icon.

    • @ooohlaa13
      @ooohlaa13 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @CK you can slow it down by tapping on the gear icon, or speed it up as well for slow movers. I hate the music I am using my mind to learn and its hard enough without entertainment, well meaning as it is!

    You're so good at explaining this technique & slow enough for anyone to follow along who is a beginner. We crocheters wish more tutorials were as patient as you. I plan to use this technique FOREVER❣️ Before, I was making my long chain; then, so I'd have what I call a 'solid foundation', I would SC in every single chain & THEN begin ROW 1 of my pattern or design I was creating on my own, which were fairly simple things. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for a TERRIFIC tutorial!!! I'm 72 & you just made my life much easier!!!!! God bless you 🙏..... I love learning new things❣️ Lana

    Great teaching and video in many ways; right distance, light, speed, clarity and more.
    I find repeating a video like this over and over and over, especially to get the “logic” or reasoning behind each move speeds up learning exponentially.
    With the above said, it would be nice if you made an ADDITIONAL video that repeats the entire process from the very first “knot” to get on the hook through to maybe 10 stitches maybe 6-10 times. (Then viewers would not have to slide the red line back over and over, and they could have hands free to do it along with the video when ready.) Just say’n.
    Sometimes I will slow down a video to try to do it along with the teacher, but your video was so clear it wasn’t necessary.
    Thanks!
