Its amazing how Season 2 shifted audience perceptions about Pacifica in the best way possible. She was intentionally written as the stereotypical shallow, rich, image-obsessed female bully at first, but then ""Golf Wars" happens and we start to see deeper into her life. Her father offered no words of encouragement before her match; just a threat of not damaging the family's reputation. When Mabel offered to share her tacos with Pacifica she was genuinely confused, as if the concept of sharing is completely alien to her. These are just a few indicators that Pacifica's life isn't one of happiness and luxury.
Which makes her treatment of Mabel and the others after escaping the course more impressive for her character growth. Despite being raised to not show any signs of generosity or weakness to others, she lets her guard down somewhat and chooses to share in these simple childish moments of fun and kindness. It still isn't much by those with a normal, healthy grasp of human interactions, but its a start.
I just wish what happened in the finale didn't happen. It honestly felt like character regression.

It was great seeing both Mabel get some character development and Pacifica show there's more to her than a "walking one dimensional bleach blonde valley girl stereotype. But my favorite part of this episode has to be the Big Henry scene. It was completely absent from the original script and added by Matt Braly. I like to think this was practice for how he'd go on to hit us right in the feels again and again in his own show, _Amphibia._ A moment of silence for Big Henry.

Few things I love so much about this episode:
- Pacifica is becoming a better person, very slowly to many but it shows.
- “WALKING ONE-DIMENSIONAL BLEACH BLONDE VALLEY GIRL STEREOTYPE!!!” 😂 Damn Mabel
- “Pacifica’s rich, Mabel. She’s cheating at life.” 😂 Damn Dipper
- RIP Big Henry 😢 You can always count on Matt Braly (Amphibia creator) to write a dark death scene… The miners deserved the sticker, honestly. One of them sacrificed themselves, for god’s sake
- Next up, the episode that millions still love to this day, but where two characters kinda sparked a trend in most Disney shows that followed, most notably with Amphibia and The Owl House (and no, I’m not gonna hint what it is, I want Elijah to be surprised; if you know, you know 😉)

Alex wasn't didn't expect fans to take a liking to Pacifica, as he aimed her to be the opposite of Mabel: in his words, an utter terror. Matt Braly was one to steer in this direction (and Pacifica's next appearance ;) and I heard he had that sort of arc in mind for Anne. Also, regarding Boscha's turnaround, I like to imagine Braly just stumbled upon their writers room during production.
I got so happy when Elijah said that she was eating salt&vinegar chips. Those have always been my favorite.
The Big Henry scene is one of the most emotional moments in fiction. Pacifica's parents suck and they were barely in the episode (though that could have something to do with it)

I've been having really bad physical and mental health issues and I've been to the hospital so many times and I don't even know if I'll make it to 10th grade by next year, but it's just nice to have something to look forward to. I like this episode very much. Even though it`s some kind of a filler episode it has fantastic humor and good character moments. And that thing with Pacifica is becoming more important in a later episode (which is one of my favourits). I`m just so happy that you continue to watch this series, it`s phenomenal 😄! Also RIP Big Henry, he was only like one minute on screen but he died in such dramatic way that I`ll never forget him.

It's a reference to the 1726 satirical novel Gulliver's Travels, in which the protagonist visits a variety of bizarre fictional foreign lands (and also Japan), the first of which is a country called Lilliput, where the native people - the Lilliputians - are, on average, only six inches tall.

This episode is just the start of Pacifica being redeemed. Wait until “Nothwest Mansion Mystery”. That’s when her character really starts to change for the better. Oh also that episode is the scariest one of the entire show so just warning you now.

2) The mini-golf people are called liliputtians. This is a play on the Liliputians from "Gulliver's Travels," which were a race of people, relatively small to the title character.
