When you read most of the comments them, they are more of a emotion than facts. With the fast bowlers them Ambrose and Marshall is over rated, I would like anyone of them to tell me. Who is the leading fast for the wi and, one time in the world Courtney Walsh. I am going by the records of the players whether batting or bowling, just like Viv Richard's is over rated. How many international runs he scored over his career, about 15,000 runs with 35 centuries and. That making him the greatest batsman for the wi, and all times. That is to show you, the type of hypocrisy in the world. As they have a saying that opinion and facts is two different things, because opinions is. What someone is really thinking about a scenario,it is not the true reflection of the person abilities at all.
So as they have a saying, that everyone is entitled to their own opinions.I would like to asked all of those TH-cam channel experts talking their nonsense, about how powerful. The wi team was back then and, some of the same players that they are talking about. How great they are, how many world cup championship trophies competition they won during their careers. Also when Australia humiliated the wi team at Sabina Park Jamaica in 1995,can you guys named the players them who was playing in the match. Some of you memories is very shallow, you guys need to look up the records and. See who was playing at the time, when the wi team loosing their test number one ranking. Some of you people don't know what the hell you are saying at all, you are blaming the younger players them. After the 1995 lossed to Australia 🇦🇺 and the, players them that came after. They have won 3 world championship trophies competition, where the players of the 1995 series against Australia. Who tried for years and, they couldn't win a championship trophy for the wi team. Because the team overall wasn't good at all, the players them you guys are blaming. They went to 4 world cup finals and they, won 3 out of 4 championship trophies competition. So you guys realized that you are talking a lot of trash, you need to check your records. Before coming on social media running off your mouths, talking trash embarrassing yourselves. It is just like how several of those islands guys don't rated Gayle, which he is the only wi batsman scoring centuries in all 3 formats. Also scoring 2 triple hundreds in test cricket, only Lara to do so. Where Gayle is a far better batsman than Viv Richard's, Haynes and Greenidge also several more. We are going by records and the amount of runs that you scored, during your career. The 2nd highest centuries maker for the wi team behind Lara, but the islands people them is very, very biased against Jamaicans, ok.

The only thing here is how two greats who started test cricket between 1986 and 1988 respectively were the only bowlers from 1991 (after Marshall retired) that gave West Indies a bit of hope. Why the other bowlers could not be disciplined like these two I cannot understand. By the time they retired they were bowling around 80mph. In their prime they were around 90-95mph. Really miss these two guys.

Normally the home matches r always easier for any team. But considering english pitches , how difficult it would have been for England batters to perform well when they had to face touring bowlers like Ambrose, Walsh, Wasim, Waqar, Donald, Pollock, McGrath, Warne, Murli. All these bowled exceptionally well in those English conditions. So a batting average of 40 of graham thorpe, Nasser Hussain, Atherton should be considered really really good.

This was the 100th test at Lords , I think 21 or 22 wickets fell on day 2, Windies were bowled out for 51 , I will always rememeber when the match was over , and Bob Willis(RIP) was commentating , he read the bowling figures and that part were he said "Franklin Rose bowled absolute rubbish." had me laughing,a great match and a good series for the bowlers. The windies had two great bowlers at the start but a very poor backup,at this time I thought they had turned a corner , they had young players like Sarwan , Wavell Hinds and Chris Gayle ,sadly things have not changed much, the windies really struggled at Headingly losing by an innings.

@@11hitmanDagenius I remember when the game ended , he praised Ambrose and Walsh , the moment he got to Franklin Rose , he said "Franklin Rose bowled absolute rubbish". That just tells you the state of Windies cricket back then , a lot of their players also lost confidence after this tower , I could recall players like Wavell Hinds , Sherwin Campbell , Jimmy Adams, Nixon Mclean, other players got droped like Reon King, Adrian Griffith and Franklin Rose. With Ambrose retiring it left a hole for the Windies , Windies really struggled in this series , I remember at Headingly they lost by an innings being bowled out for 50 or less , Caddick got a 5er , it was great series but a disappointing one for windies they started really strong but it was that day at lords that showed they had a fragile batting , England did really well after this they won in Sri-lanka and Pakistan but lost 1-0 in India , that is where Nasser Hossien employed bowling at the pads .
