About 2 weeks after this removing of the wrist band incident occurred, Ambrose destroyed Australia in the deciding Test Match at the WACA in Perth with a devastating spell of 7 for 1 (that's 7 wickets for 1 run, not the other way around). Australia were crushed by an innings inside of 3 days, the West Indies won the series, and Ambrose got 3 individual awards all at the same time immediately after. Those awards were the player of the match, the player of the test series, and the player of the entire Australian summer.
Su Ka, you might have to ask that question to Curtly Ambrose. But from what I can remember of that Australian summer, Ambrose was bowling well long before this incident occurred. After what happened here it only made him faster and more furious.
