Hi My name is jamilah I'm from somali , I'm 3rd year med student in Egypt and I loved your videos actually you inspired me and let me get productive so thanx
Hey Jamilah! Thanks so much for your message! Can't believe someone in Egypt is watching my videos> Best of luck with all your medical studies and thanks so much for supporting my channel :)
As a third year nursing student who has always wanted to become a doctor, this is awesome to watch! I too am from Australia, so fingers crossed, getting that GPA up in my last semester, do my grad nursing year in 2021 and hopefully sit GAMSAT in 2022 for a 2023 entry. I work in the hospital as an AIN (assistant in nursing), I do everything except for medication administration, IVT's and certain dressings (CVC or PICC)! My stethoscope wakes me up and I have this burning passion to be apart of the medical team like that, having the leadership role and making those connections of the presenting issues, pathophysiology and medications they may be on, it would be an amazing career pathway to choose from. Hopefully, I'll learn a lot being a RN and those skills will be transferable into medicine when applicable.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback. Your clinical experience will 100% be valuable in your career in health. I always say to people that are think about undergraduate degrees to consider nursing because it is such an integral part of the healthcare team and the clinical experience is unmatched by many other degrees. All the best in finishing up your studies and in your prep for GAMSAT :).
Have just started watching your videos and am loving them! I’m currently a third year chiropractic student who is looking to do a post grad medical degree and watching these videos give such an insight! ☺️
Love the insight into med student life. How do you afford to be a full-time student in living Sydney? Do you have to work heaps or is that not possible with the amount of study?
