Great teacher, but also a quick learning student for a beginner, people say styles of martial arts are very different but as someone that trains TKD this is "almost" the same.

Agreed a lot of combatives are similar to Hapkido. Goju-Ryu Karate also has similar combatives and philosophies although more traditional.

Not seeming like a violent person also may give you the upper hand, as you may have noticed in the first lesson, the stance of krav maga is also a seemingly nonthreatening position. But when used it can hurt alot😅
