One of the better Krav Maga videos. Does show IMHO how effective even the "civilian ver" is in most cases. I mean if you wanted to learn practical self-defence techniques that actually do work (was originally designed for the Isreali military after all). And, if you have no intention of learning and training in western boxing or Muay Thai. Or MMA. Realistically most people do not want to train in an art where you receive contact. Potentially damaging contact. I know I'm not.
That sorta speaks to an issue I’ve been dealing with on the opposite end of the spectrum. It’s more or less an issue of privacy and people needing to stay outta my personal life. But, I find it interesting how a woman will not like you because of your ex gf not liking you over something that doesn’t even involve your exes “friend.” So, what her friend will do is passive aggressive bs to provoke you. Now, that’s stuff I can easily ignore, right? However, many a times those types of women will wait until a guy is around that she does like to try and take advantage of the position you’re in. Like acting like a b*tch towards you for seamlessly no reason while the guy she does like is around. Which, consequently means he will not like you and now try to provoke you over her. Which, then puts you in a weird spot, because naturally you recognize what’s going on and there’s only so much you can do. Obviously, the immediate threat is the guy, right? I mean, wtf is she gonna do? Yup, not a MFing thing because she knows better. So, now the poor guy is stuck in a situation where he’s gonna get his ass beat coming at me the wrong way because of what she done told him. And, the thing is I’m gonna defend myself, periodt. I’ll be smart about it of course. But, my thing is I prefer waiting until they feel froggy and decide to jump. That way everything leading up to the aftermath is, well wtf did I do? I ain’t say nothing to her or him. So, the powers that be are gonna have to do the math and connect the dots, because I ain’t the one🤷🏻♂️

Impressive. When these techniques are broken down like this, it sounds so simple, but the training it must take to be able to do these things that quickly like it's instinct... It undoubtedly sounds simpler than it really is.

I'm an MMA practitioner, but honestly I only clicked here for the hottie. Good marketing strategy.. I hope she's actually training in self defense; I think it's a big issue for women and wish more would take responsibility for their safety. She's clearly a beginner and seeing her move illustrates the huge disparity between a trained person versus a non trained one. Her coach needs to drive home the importance of a solid base and body mechanics too. Even a low powered training punch was knocking her around. Easily remedied by stance training and understanding how to properly form the arm in that defense.
I clicked for the hottie also but if you read the credits she is just a reporter doing a story on basics of Krav so if she somehow defered her IDF training this maybe all she has ever seen of the style.
I think a lot of this is psychology - she looks like she's there having fun, not gearing up for a fight. Some of this can be taught I think - like, when I was at uni I was in a jiujitsu club where at the end, after announcements & so forth, we'd rei from a kneeling position (suwaru) & then all of us jump up into yoi (ready stance) screaming "DEATH!!!" at the top of our lungs. It was part of the culture of the club & I think it mentally prepared us all to fight hard & be serious about what we were doing. Some krav clubs are like this too - I like how some places try to put you in disorienting situations with loud music, strobe lights, people impeding you with kick pads, so that you're shaking with adrenaline & your muscles are full of lactic acid & you're forced to dig deep & fight like your life depends on it. As Russian general Alexander Suvorov said, "train hard, fight easy".
I agree. I wish the female had taken it more seriously and had a serious look on her face. If they actually yelled at her or were more aggressive like a real street situation, she shouldn't have had a big silly grin on her face. It took away from the seriousness of the lesson.

Got in a headlock by a kids 28 year old brother after I got him out in a high school game of assassins. I had an asthma attack and they held me there until my assassin showed up. Hopefully I can escape out of a headlock after watching this
