Depending on the culture/upbringing/life that makes one a travel bug or homebody. Constant traveling is overrated. Our home is our castle speaks volumes.
Seeing other countries is stimulating for young children in their formative years.
As a couple it is best to communicate regularly to meet each other’s needs. That’s what a good marriage entails. Narcissism has no place in any relationship. Like stress it kills.
When you have a tour guide and yet you wish to do your own thing it will be best to hire a private tour guide like you did in the prior vid(part 1 to this part 2 vid).
You don’t need animal protein for protein needs….plant protein from greens/cruciferous/mushrooms/beans/legumes are superior and plentiful to meet one’s daily protein needs.
A varied plant-based diet of whole grains, vegetables, and beans can easily meet your daily protein needs, without the risks of animal products.

Yes that's rude..the whole point of a tour is to listen to the guides...maybe you should have booked a private tour.. you'll know for next time... that's why I didn't do tours when I was younger and traveled

Yes, since you asked, I think you were pretty darned disrespectful to the tour guide. If you want to make your videos do so, but please don't complicate this guide's life by wandering off and not being attentive. Maybe just rent a car next time and drive yourself if you don't want to deal with participating in the tour you booked. Wow.
Tours are good but certainly not the right thing for a family who does want to do their own thing..the others passengers will always have wait on you..best to take a tour just for yourselves next time..

Luke’s language and communication skills are highly developed for his age. That means he’s very intelligent and that a bilingual household with engaged parents that provide rich experiences to their child like you do helps them develop well. Kudos Lilly and Wat

Self promotion was more important than what the tour guide had to say - people paid about what the tour guide had to say- her true colors surfaced again- next video she will be acting real humble talking about God and gaslighting everyone who just saw her acting rude and arrogant. God is not meant to be a marketing tool… I would think there would be some consistency in your life - you could learn from other Christian YTs- God comes first always- not themselves or their insatiable need for attention. Just my opinion.
I travel vicariously through you lol. I can not afford to travel and your content is so realistic, I love watching these. The food videos not so much because I always get hungry and wanna try all the fabulous foods lol. Btw Luke is NOT picky lol that boy tries everything food wise it seems and likes most of it. Just travel on your own don’t booked any tour because they will rushed you through don’t even have time to take pictures and stuff then they made stop at some shopping center for you to spend your $$$ so they can make a commission 😂

Touring in a group with younger children is hard because you’ve got to consider the other tourists in the group as they also wanted to listen to what the tour guide says.
It’s best to do a private tour so the guide may have more leeway with the children to do what they like.

Wat, is your Thailand culture perfect? You can't tell me they do not yell in public ever. She may have had a bad day, just sit back and relax. Some days are bad, some are good. Don't assume perfection where ever u go. Take it in stride and relax, enjoy the travel and don't focus on the little bad things.

I was one of Vietnamese teenage boat people out in the open East Sea that got terrified by Thai Pirates. They robbed and rape girls and women on my little boat and was 42 years ago.
Although, I know not all Thai are bad people but I just couldn’t get it over me. I have never tasted any Thai’s food and drinks or any, have not and will never step foot on Thai Lan. But then, I don’t hate Wat or Thai people in general.

The guides are paid to guide you and educate you , I always listen to what they say because they are going to know a lot more than me.they may get into trouble if their bosses think they are not doing a good job.

If you understand Vietnamese, the restaurant owner was complaining to the tour guide that his tour group was sitting scattered in separate tables and she wanted them to sit close together as a group. She was mad because the tour guide didn’t complied with her request.

Wat's assumption was wrong… Do not assume anything if you don’t know what’s going on.
Tourists or walk-ins are both customers. She might be angry with the tour guide, but she could have requested the tourists to sit together nicely. My mom used to say never to eat food cooked by angry people for their angry words are like curses and could make you sick. I would walk out, too.
@lillyslife, I used to be a certified tour guide for Italian, French, English, and Thai people a long time ago. I can assure you that we are not mad at our clients. We are responsible for everyone's safety and are accountable if someone goes missing, injuring themselves, or breaking any rules (like no touching or kissing in a sacred place). 😊❤😊
I know it is a very stressful job. Our guide did an amazing job.

Great idea with the tour! We did a tour of Golden Triangle in India a few months ago... the schedule is packed but they fit so much in each day and coordinate luggage, etc... Vietnam is next on the list. Thank you for sharing! 🐾🐾

I get it. The one thing I struggled with in northern Vietnam is that most people didn’t initially smile in greeting. I find I tend to be a more relaxed traveler when the local people are friendly (like in Thailand).
Due to their hardship background. War, poverty, natural disasters etc tended to shape them the hard way. But they are so strong because they survived all these. I am Thai who have been accustomed to “nice and kind” manner I would be uncomfortable too. But considering what they had been through, that’s understandable.

Such beautiful and well-behaved boys! That's why I do not join tour groups cause I don't like being dropped off at stores to shop and having to follow the whole group wherever they go even if I don't feel like it. I'd rather pay for private tours or hire a driver to bring me around and google about the places I visit.

I’ve travel Vietnam a few years ago before CV, traveled from bottom to top with a travel package (with my daughter) .
The tour group was fantastic and met some of the loveliest people from around the world (some are still great friends) but the humidity nearly killed me 😂 and the traffic.
So, I understand why Leon wanted to go back to his hotel room 😂
I felt that in Thailand in April nearly killed me 🤦♀️
Maybe you guys should have gone on a personal tour instead of a group one. They would have been more in tune with you and your needs. You did that once before and he was perfect with your family and your vlogging. This was an amazing trip. The boys really are getting a good rounded look at the world. Looks like Wat had fun too! When we travel we need to respect the country and their rules .. clubs and bars in the north or south of Vn do close early latest is 2am for bigger clubs .. I was in Thailand last week staying in Bangkok loved it especially the food .. even staying at my Airbnb we had to be quiet by 9:30 pm cuz I was told the locals sleeps early .. all due respect it was kinda annoying but we did so anyways .. I guess when we travel we have to take rules and regulations into mind .. I’m currently in Vn atm traffic is scary and motorcycles are everywhere but hey it’s what makes VN what it is .. I don’t do tours any more just go tiring …

I would prefer to do voice overs if doing a guided tour. Take videos and listen to the tour guide other than Being that "rude' American who couldn't stop yapping to her phone even in the tour bus!
I think your husband needs to be educated about stereotypes. Because one lady was yelling in the restaurant and he said that is Vietnamese culture. He is very judgmental.

Hi Lilly and Family. I do not know how on Earth do you do it Lilly. I mean traveling and all the ruckus and the noise and the people and 2 children and Wat. I could never even do that for 1 day I would be so overwhelmed And totally over stimulated. I don't think I could Do it I know I couldn't do it. My favorite traveling is when I was in my motor home and I went all over the States, and just had no plans no purpose except just to be out with no schedule and get out in nature and I did it for many many years and I still live in my motor home. I don't know if you know where Redondo Beach is from when you lived in America cause I don't know where you were but that's in Southern California. And I can't travel at all anymore. When I used to be a nomad traveling all the time full-time but now I am dealing with chronic illnesses and I am bed-bound and in a tremendous amount of pain and mental pain So, your videos bring so much life and energy to my soul. and I just want to say what an enjoyable video. Your children are so beautiful to me. I love their personalities I love that they're smart and they have good manners and they're just wonderful kids and your relationship with them is precious. It is difficult for children who are learning two languages it can sometimes delay language a bit. Leon is doing just fine💜
@@tammydaniels170, it is a fallacy! I was fluent, and so were my brothers and sisters from the age of 2 in 2 languages. I knew some children who were trilingual and they spoke very early. The children's brains are amazing and absorb like a sponge. I have never met a child whose speech was delayed because they were involved in more than one language.

I never like going on group tours in South East Asian countries coz it’s time consuming ,like they’re spending more time in jewelry stores than seeing temples.
The restaurant worker was mad because the tour group was not sitting together instead of scattered everywhere in different tables. It’s hard for her to track and serve the group. You’re a restaurant owner so you can understand.
Wat is not a man of many words but boy when he gets pissed, watch out cuz he will cut you with his words! It was awesome to see Wat pissed cuz he's always so calm and chilled. Always wondered what ticks him off. Think Leon has his dad's personality. Lily, you are so talented in storytelling and making videos. You know what to shoot and say. People do not understand that having a youtube channel is not about rambling but knowing what to say and when and that is where you know what you are doing. Always a joy and pleasure to watch your videos. You are one of the rare channels that make me excited when I see the blue dot next to the channels I have subscribed to. You are also good with accents! You are a natural talent. Thanks for the excellent coverage of Vietnam. I am intrigued but I just can't handle that level of humidity. I literally become someone else when I am that hot and sweaty.
I have only heard that Vietnamese are very gentle people. I tbink the problem may have been that Wat is uncomfortable and suspicious outside his comfort zone. I prefer to travel with someone who is interested and enthusiastic rather than negative which would spoil the experience for me. Luke has a healthy and open attitude and I hope Leon learns from him. Travel and learning about another culture is educational and enriching.

I think it is hard to coordinate young children travelling with tour group travel. That is the only issue here
My observation was of Wat and not the kids. Lilly herself said Wat is not a traveller, unlike her. I am sure his lack of exposure and perhaps a more introverted nature plays a part. I think the more open you are to learning about another culture the greater the travel experience.
No we are not gentle. We gossip, blow things out of proportion, and will fake to like you. Thai people are more authentic than Vietnamese people.
